Stay at No 3 Lomond Castle

Much as the location and the stunning views are all plus points of the property, I felt some basics could be much better. Instructions of various living do's and dont's, within the property were not available, particularly, with regards to operation of heating controls. important during winter stays.The quality of bedding in both bedrooms was very poor and the 'double bed' in the second bedroom was awful!! it was disappointing the nice 'looking' fire place in the lounge was only a decorative item. Doesn't even light up. This turned a potentially, snug and nice lounge area in a cold winters evening, into a cold and depressing one. Cooking utensils such as pots and pans could be improved.

What a view

We loved the apartment and especially the view. Secure & safe parking in the gated castle grounds. Just a couple of very small annoyances, fireworks very late one night - I suppose as the venue offers a small wedding/celebration party venue and also there appears to be no soundproofing from the apartment above, the occupant was a insomniac with clogs on!!

Perfect stay at Loch Lomond

The apartment at Castle Lomond is just as described on the website—very spacious, perfectly equipped with everything you need, very clean, and with a fantastic view over Loch Lomond. You couldn't ask for better accommodation when traveling. Communication with the host was also perfect.

Excellent accommodation on Loch Lomond

We stayed at No 3 Lomond Castle for only 2 nights however I only have words of praise. The house is situated in a castle, and has access to the common garden at the back of the house. The views from the house are incredible as the property overlooks Loch Lomond. The property was incredibly clean, modern and very well maintained. The staff are also very helpful, and immediately helped us to retrieve an item which we forgot inside after check out. There is ample space for parking, which is situated after the castle gate, meaning such area is safe and secure. Overall, I am incredible happy to have chosen No 3 Lomond Castle for our stay on Loch Lomond and will definitely recommend anyone in the area to also choose this accommodation!

Die Unterkunft war perfekt. Die ist großzügig und sehr modern eingerichtet. Wir waren zu zweit und hatten ein großes und kleineres Schlafzimmer, sowie zwei Bäder. Die Terrasse war mega schön und es gab einen direkten Zugang zum See. Wir konnten jederzeit zum Steg und baden. Die Umgebung um Balloch oder Luss lädt zum Spaziergang und Wassersport ein. Alles hat für uns perfekt gepasst.

Breathtaking views of loch and Ben lomond

Great location, fantastic view of loch, islands and hills beyond. Generous sized property, comfortable beds and lounge. Well equipped kitchen with inside and outside dining options. Communication and entry instructions were clear and easily followed. Cleanliness scored slightly low due to coffee frother and one pan had not been properly cleaned. Bath towels were on the small side and no shower gel shampoo provided. Overall experience was good, would definitely return, and recommend to others.

Northern belle train ride stopover

Gorgeous property View is amazing , we sat outside every evening in the glorious sunshine Loved the area at the bottom of the garden down by the water and jetty Everything you need for self catering Beds comfy Couldn’t quite work out how to connect the speaker inside but just put the tv on instead for background music Only thing would suggest would be bigger towels for shower mother in law would of preferred bath sheets as the towels wernt very big not an issue at all just a suggestion Overall an amazing place Will definitely be returning

Beautiful Property

This is a lovely place in a quiet castle with magnificent views of Loch Lomond. The rooms were grand, with high ceilings and well appointed furnishings. The kitchen was well stocked with updated appliances. The castle and the apartment were easily accessible for elderly members of our family. We had two minor suggestions which made for the 4 star rating. First, the hot water in the en-suite bathroom shower only lasted a couple of minutes which made for some cold rinsing out of my hair! Secondly, it would have been helpful to have a welcome book explaining how all of the remotes and appliances worked, ie, we could not get the combination washer/dryer to dry any clothes and had no idea what the JVC remote was for! But I would highly recommend the stay.

Perfect apartment and location

The property was amazing and had the most wonderful views over the Loch. It had everything you need for a self catering holiday and was very comfortable. It’s based in a fantastic location to be able to explore the surrounding area too.

A lovely place for a quiet relaxing break

We had a small break and visited family nearby. This was a lovely setting and comfortable and cosy apartment. Would definitely recommend it. We loved it for the walk in shower for our elderly parents and the fact there were no stairs.

There is nothing more relaxing thsn enjoying a cip of coffee as you watch the sun rise over Loch Lomond from this place. Comfortable, elegant, and a feeling of home away from home.

What a view

We loved our stay at Loch Lomond Nr3. Huge flat, spotlessly clean, excellent beds, no noise whatsoever. The weather didn’t allow us to sit outside, but just sitting on the sofa and enjoying the view made our stay memorable

Beautiful location and very spacious, well decorated flat

Hello, My family really enjoyed our stay. It was easy to collect the keys, plenty of parking space. The best thing is the incredible view, along with a private jetty at the bottom of the garden. The flat itself os spacious, well-decorated and clean. The ONLY thing that would be better is having a chopping board . I would definitely stay again. Dave

Fantastic accommodation

Lomond castle is quite simply a fantastic well maintained apartments in a beautiful location. This is our four year of staying there and already booked again for next year it’s that good. The grounds are in a great setting right on the loch stunning and so peaceful. Walking distance to Duck bay marina for morning coffee or dinner and close by to Cameron House. It’s the perfect location for just relaxation or exploring many nearby sites. The accommodation is finished out to a high standard with everything you might need for a great stay.

Lovely apartment with incredible view

We loved everything about the apartment. The beds were comfortable, the showers were good, it was spotlessly clean and it had everything we needed for our stay, The view was amazing, we even had a pair of oyster catchers nesting under the bench just outside the french windows. The location is a good walk or short car ride to Balloch and Alexandria for restaurants and supplies Highly recommended..

Beautiful accommodation

We had a five night stay at no3 Lomond Castle & would highly recommend! The accommodation was spotless, very well appointed & in a fantastic location. Customer service from Liz at Auchenheglish Lodges was second to none. We can't wait to book another stay!

Comfortable, clean and gorgeous views!

Highly recommend this place. Liz was wonderful and delightful to work with. The beds are super comfortable along with an amazing view! Very close to many delicious restaurants and shopping!

Perfect loch lomond getaway

Stayed with my father for a few nights. Lovely location and superbly presented. Highly recommend walking down the garden to the side of the loch. What made it even more special was my father staying here when he got married 50 off years ago when it was a hotel. Fond memories. Thank you!
