Bienvenido a "La cabaña del artista" !! Pintoresca casa histórica con hermosas obras de arte locales en una calle tranquila de Lewes. A solo dos cuadras de las tiendas y restaurantes del centro de la ciudad y a una corta distancia en autom��vil de la playa de Lewes.

El primer piso tiene la sala de estar, una gran cocina abierta y un comedor, así como un dormitorio y un baño completo. Dos dormitorios más y un medio baño están en el segundo piso. Durmiendo en total para seis.

Esta casa está disponible para estancias de mini semanas de viernes a lunes o de lunes a viernes. También se puede alquilar semanalmente de viernes a viernes. Pídale detalles a su agente.

Great house in a fantastic location. Second street with all of the shops and restaurants is only a few short blocks away. The street is very quiet and there 3 outdoor spaces to enjoy

Short weekend, great location

We were in town for a lacrosse tournament. The weekend was short but the property was lovely and in a great location. Property was also well equipped. Would recommend and certainly stay again in the future.

Great little house that lives big!

This sweet house was perfect for our family of five! Great open first floor and a fully kitted out kitchen! Walking distance to all Lewes has to offer, including great restaurants.

Wonderful!

We loved our stay at the Artist's Cottage! The house is delightful and very comfortable with an incredibly well stocked kitchen. First floor living was great with the young adult kids upstairs. The location is just perfect for walks and bike rides and taking in the charm of the town and surroundings. Perfect house to stay in, highly recommend!!

Amazing little cottage, wonderful little town

This is a really well appointed small house, updated fixtures and appliances. Cozy but well-thought out and good size kitchen. Back porch and front patio are great hang out spots. Our family felt right at home. Good location - quiet street right near a beautiful park with a lake. About 2 blocks from the restaurants, cafes, and stores in town, and another block to the canal. Highly recommend for families and peaceful getaways.

Wonderful house

The cottage was the perfect place for my wife and I to get away in this COVID-crazed times. The house was extremely decorated with vibrant paintings everywhere. The main floor was even larger than we expected, with an open floor plan except fro the master bedroom and bathroom. It was great to be able to have breakfast and lunches at "home" on one of the three outdoor patios. We loved the place and will certainly stay there again..

Raskin stay

We loved the Artist's Cottage. I wanted to purchase some of the art! Location was perfect and we all had a peaceful, fun time. Never listened to the news or got a newspaper which for us, a very politically oriented family, (liberal) was a miracle!. Thanks.

We will rent this cottage again!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We are completely satisfied with our stay and we look forward to renting this cottage again. Perfect location to walk to early morning coffee and evening dinner, all just blocks away. Easy drives to area attractions, including Rehoboth Beach, Primehook National Wildlife Refuge and Cape Henlopen State Park. We worked with an excellent rental agent. The home is cozy and comfortable and exudes hospitality.

Great location and cute property

Very nice location in Lewes - walk to everything! Small cottage on a quiet street, which was perfect for the 3 of us. Larger groups might feel cramped unless you are not spending a lot of time here during the day. The checkin process is with a local realtor rather than getting a key code, which is different than I’m used to. Also, linens were an additional charge so we opted to bring out own. I guess this is common with beach rentals, but not anything I’ve encountered with other VRBOs. The house was well decorated and maintained, but the kitchen wasn’t as clean as other places I’ve stayed (dirty oven and some drawers had crumbs in them). Everything else was great and we would consider staying here again when in Lewes.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Cute, quirky cottage. Disappointed with cleanliness of cottage upon arrival. Quality of furnishings throughout was poor and uncomfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with nice appliances. Washer could not accommodate towels. Construction each day adjacent to the sliding glass doors, porch area. Porch was in ill repair.

Thank you for your feedback. I hope the cleanliness issue was reported right away so the cleaners could be sent back. Your comments were shared with the owner so they could be addressed. Unfortunately, we never know when new construction is planned for.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great house and location. Our second time renting. Property description is accurate. The house is rundown and the overall cleanliness is not good. It's a comfortable house but needs a lot of TLC. Owners live outside the DelMarVa area and they rely on locals and real estate company to maintain which is not happening unless a tenant gives feedback. Our first year we gave feedback and hoped for a better experience the second time but not the case. Love the house/location but for the money we won't be returning. I would not recommend unless the issues are rectified.

I'm sorry the property did not meet your expectation. Any feedback we receive is passed along to the owner so they are aware of what guests are seeing. The propane smell you mentioned at departure was a regulator that needed replacing.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Adorable, “well loved” cottage close to town. We rented in February ‘22, assuming it would be quiet. Had no idea demolition would be going on in the back yard! Assume new build will occur soon! The property itself does not have an attentive cleaning company. Musty/mold odors in laundry/bath/front bedroom. Numerous kitchen items dirty or unusable. No hairdryer!

Cute cottage, amazing location

Absolutely loved this neighborhood and location for our stay! Two blocks from downtown shops and restaurants, bike trails, and about a mile from the beach, surrounded by 1700s-era homes and churches. The cottage is spacious with a modern kitchen and lots of seating (both indoor and outdoor). Property manager was excellent and extremely attentive to our questions/needs. Our only complaints were that the children’s (twin) mattresses were not comfortable and could really use replaced. Also, the living room furniture could use an upgrade (and the addition of a couch versus just a love seat). The way it is currently set up, it’s really hard to sit and actually see the small TV. The room is spacious, so the furniture could also be reconfigured for better flow. Finally, the VRBO listing says it has a on-site parking, but there is only street parking at this property — and the street space directly in front of this home is marked as handicapped. It would be more transparent to explain this in the listing, especially for the higher price point of this rental during peak season. Overall, we liked this property and were pleased with our stay.

Great house, but falls short

The house is adorable and location is great. The booking and communication process with the realtor was frustrating, they wouldn’t communicate through messages. Everything is done outside of Vrbo, and I struggled to connect with the office. I wish there was a keyless entry vs having to pick up and drop off keys, plus it would be safer. The a/c doesn’t work properly. It was almost 100 degrees outside and the house wouldn’t cool down during the day. At night it got cold, but then quit working during the day and the temps inside rose to 80 degrees. Incredibly frustrating. We chose to pay for the linen rental, kind of a pain. Plus, the check-out process required a hefty list of work that had to be done. The front entry had a sewage smell every time someone took a shower, not ideal. Again the house was cute, but left us disappointed overall. We most likely will not stay here again.
