Perfect year round, it's 2 blocks from 2nd street and only .06 miles to Lewes beach. Walk to the farmers market, 2 large playgrounds, restaurants, shopping, bike/walking trails. Best of all worlds. Can't beat this location! Perfect for family vacation, couples getaway, girls trips or just a change of scenery while working remotely. Relax on porches during the spring/summer/fall and in front of the fireplace in the winter. Perfect for a Thanksgiving or Christmas holiday away from home. This house has it all.

The property was great for our pups with a fenced in back yard and a great park next door for walks. We loved the proximity to the town-walkable in the morning for coffee and at night for dinner. The couch was extremely comfortable and the front porches great for relaxing.

House was perfectly set up for two couples and our dogs. We especially loved the large kitchen with eat-in dining area, the two lovely front decks, and the fenced-in yard. The neighborhood felt friendly and welcoming and the proximity to the park was wonderful for dog-walking. Easy walk into downtown Lewes through a charming residential area. Would love to come back next year!

I booked this property for 3 weeks in July as my "home-away-from-home". The property location and bi-level living space accommodations are perfect for multi-generational family reunions in Lewes. A pleasant 10 minute walk down the street takes you to Canal Park and all that Second Street has to offer!

This is a lovely property in a lovely place. Everything was in working order except the refrigerator's ice machine and owners have placed ice trays. Very nice open space with a huge TV. We really appreciated the Xfinity connection. Lovely park nearby great for dog walking.

This place outdid itself! Pictures barely did it justice. For starters, having a bathroom for each bedroom was a game changer, and the showers were amazing. Every room was so cozy, even the bunk beds were extra comfy. Having a backyard for the dogs was our deciding factor in choosing this home for our vacation. Its so nice being able to bring them with us. The park at the end of the street was the perfect place to take them for strolls. There is an excellent farmers market at that park every Saturday, make sure to stop by. All of the restaurants in town were really good (especially Agave, Taste of Italy, and Irish Eyes) and Savannah Beach was only a few minutes away. Dogs are allowed on the beach after 6pm, so we spent a lot of sunsets splashing in the gentle surf with them. Cape Henlopen was also close enough to ride bike to, which was a bonus treat. If I had to find fault with anything about this place, I'd say the grill is worse for wear, but that would be reaching because everything here is pristine and designed for comfort and relaxation. So thankful for our time here. The whole family agreed we would love to return here someday. It was really hard to leave. Thank you!!!

Great house. Great location. Easy walking distance to town for shopping and dining. Listing does not specify that you have to clean. We were very disappointed when we received check in info informing us that we needed to do housework before our check out.

Great location and A LOT of space

This is a beautiful home located within walkable distance to downtown Lewes. It was perfect for our family of five (kids 2-7 years old) and my 80 year old mom. My mom was able to stay comfortably in the first floor bedroom so she didn’t need to go up and down the stairs. Overall the house was clean and well stocked with supplies. I made an error in not renting linens so we didn’t have any towels, sheets etc. The host was quick to respond to my messages and tried to help me get the linens we needed. The area the house is located in was friendly and safe. There was a lot of nice outdoor areas as well. We didn’t bring our dog but if we had it would have been a very easy dog friendly experience. We would love to stay here again.

Best location for center of town and dogs

The property was located just a few blocks from the center of Lewes, making it a short walk to restaurants, shops, and cultural highlights. At the end of the block is a beautiful dog-friendly park with a small loop path (about 1/2 mile).The property itself has full bathrooms on both floors, a spacious and well-equipped kitchen, 2nd floor washer/dryer, great WiFi, a fenced backyard with patio furniture, 2 second floor balconies, several smart TVs, a fireplace, and off street parking.Easily the best vacation rental I’ve ever booked. Thanks!

Really central location, perfect for dogs.

We stayed here for a family gathering and really enjoyed the stay. Katharene is a very responsive host. The location is so central and you can easily walk to the downtown shops. We had our dogs and the park right at the end of the street was perfect for morning walks.

Fall Lewes 2024

The location was great for walking to town and the local park. The house was roomy, comfortable and furnished nicely. The only drawbacks were the refrigerator ice maker did not work and the coffeemaker was missing the necessary basket required to make a pot. We were forced to go to Walmart to purchase a coffeemaker.

Lewes vacation house

The house was a lot larger than the pictures let on. Very spacious with high ceilings, and a beautiful kitchen. It’s a walkable neighborhood, only half a block from a large park where we could walk the dog. Easy access to Cape Henlopen State Park and the bike trail is only a few blocks away. Since we were all adults, the children’s bunk beds didn’t work very well for us. The tile shower stalls are pretty and large, but there’s nothing to put your things on or hold onto. Overall we had a good time at the house.

Lewes get-away

Spent time with family visiting my daughter studying at the UD College of Earth, Ocean and Environment campus. Perfect walking distance to downtown and house well furnished! Enjoyed every bit of our time there.

Mostly ok

Location was great. Ice maker did not work. Carpet upstairs could have been cleaner. Overall well stocked and we all had a great time. Very spacious for 4 adults and two small children.

We love Lewes! We first discovered Lewes in 2012 and have never looked back. We love everything about this town. Ocean, Bay, Bike trails, great restaurants and shopping--it's all right here. This is our second rental property in Lewes. We have another at the beach ( vrbo.com/411503) but love the in-town vibe so much we purchased this home in 2020. We love to walk to the restaurants on 2nd street and our kids love the park down the street with a fishing pond and large playground. We ride our bikes or walk to the beach in a matter of minutes and love the bike trails. Lewes is just the best town for a relaxing, fun get away any time of year.

House is so comfortable and cozy. Layout easily accommodates two families. Great bunk bed room with 3 beds. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. Fully appointed kitchen is great for cooking and entertaining. Porches are terrific to start your day with coffee and a book--or for happy hour after day at the beach. House is located on a beautiful and quiet street. Oh, and pet friendly!
