The Loft overall is a very nice rustic house to enjoy a secluded place to stay. As with any vacation rental, there are pros and cons.Pros:-Location is beautiful and seemingly secluded out in the woods. There is a large new home close to The Loft house but seems like no one lives there. There is also another residence right down the lane, but not sure if anyone lives there either. No problems with either, just a note that it is not a vacation home by itself.-The pool table is very nice, and we all enjoyed playing games on it together.-The beds are comfy with nice blankets and pillows.-The a/c works great-Comfy furniture-Within 15 minutes of restaurants-It has an elevator!Cons:-Driveway leading in needs maintenance to trim back branches. A large vehicle will experience some of the outstretched branches hitting your car.-Technology side is extremely lacking. Old plasma tvs, no smart functions. Most basic package DirectTV, with few channels many being in Spanish. They provided a handful of DVDs if you are looking something to watch. The internet is terrible w/slow speeds of 6-9 MBps download and literal .5 MBps upload. Reduces laptops or phones to a min.-Low water pressure and tankless water heater needs turned up before use. -Upstairs shower capped, only has a tub-Air Hockey table shuts off after 1 min. Couldn’t change itOverall great place, if you are looking for a quiet retreat to do some reading or relax away from everything else; hard to entertain teens

Excellent stay!! Really enjoyed the rental. Was very convenient having a special needs child in a wheel chair. Rental was also stocked well with towels, supplies, etc. 10/10 great stay!!

We loved this nice little barn house in the woods. "The Loft" was very clean and seemed modern. The pool table, elevator, and air hockey table were super fun! The only complaintswere that we ran out of water the first night and had to figure out how to turn on the pump for the well. It was not apparent how to fix the problem, but our smarty pants son called the emergency service number and the lady talked him through turning it on. Also, by the end of our stay, seemed the a/c wasn't cooling well. It got a little warm... but we acclimated to 78 degrees in Houston, so we were ok until we left.

The best place yet

We stay at Vrbo’s and often for work and travel. This one was for our bdays, and was probably the best one yet. For some reason, I didn’t get any app communication from VRBO, so checking in required me to contact the owner, but my goodness- they were SUPER helpful!Not only is the place super cute, easy to use and really clean , the spices, extra touches, and adorable furnishings along with the pool table and air hockey and multiple gathering areas made it so wonderful, we stayed an extra day.The WiFi was spotty (probably because of weather) but the owner did their best to fix it. Kitchen was well outfitted and the table and chairs were perfect for our family. It was just wonderful and secluded and can’t wait to return.

I was looking for a property near my mother's rural home that would accommodate my family, including my son who is quadriplegic and a full-time wheelchair user. Who would have guessed that less than 4 miles from my mom's home sits this incredible barndominium, equipped with an elevator and a roll-in shower? This property was delightful, with something for everyone - a movie room, air hockey, board games, puzzles, pool table, full kitchen, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a lovely porch with porch swing, all amid a gorgeous woods setting. And there were so many fun and eclectic touches. I hope to rent this again and bring even more of my family. From the moment we arrived, we were wowed by the Loft. Regarding wheelchair accessibilty, the Loft truly is accessible: parking, entryway, space next to toilet for wheelchair or walker, roll-in shower, elevator to upstairs, front porch, etc. Our son requires total assistance, so we did all transfers to toilet and to bed and cannot comment on the ease of self-transfer. We brought our own shower chair (Shower Buddy) because the bench type doesn’t work for him. Our son's power wheelchair is long, so maneuvering around furniture and the pool table were a little challenging (but doable). The elevator was large for the chair, but he coukd not turn around in it, so he rolled in, rode up or down, and then backed out. The Loft shares a long gravel driveway with a nearby home that faces it. No one was at that home while we were at The Loft.

Diamond in the Rough

This place was amazing! We were in town for a famioy baby shower and always try to find somewhere unique that isnt a hotel, and this had everything we wanted and more. We already want to come up with a reason to return.

Excellent and accessible!

If you have someone in your family in a wheelchair, this is the place to stay. The owners have thought of everything! Our family has stayed here twice now and plan to do so again when we are visiting the area. There are plenty of games and activities for all ages. The surroundings are peaceful but close to town.

Wonderful House! Peaceful setting!

Overall we enjoyed our stay very much. The house was clean and comfortable. On warning on arrival: mapping software does not show the driveway, so follow the owners' directions!

Lovely, quiet setting

Our family really enjoyed our stay! Everything was as described in the listing, cooking ware/utensils/spices needed were available, things were clearly labeled and instructions were provided for things like the washing machine, tv controllers, etc. our kids loved the air hockey table and their bunk room, the elevator was so helpful since we had multiple large suitcases, and the safety gate at the top of the stairs gave me some peace of mind with our smaller children being upstairs! We used Walmart delivery and doordash and both places delivered to the address (big plus when you have small children😆) I loved that we were close to where we needed to go and still able to enjoy a quiet night being away from the road. I highly recommend this property for those needing a place in or near Conroe!

Love The Loft

Recently visited for a family reunion in the area. All I can say is that my family and I loved The Loft. It was quite and secluded, yet 2 miles from groceries and only 15 minutes (max) from shopping, restaurants, etc. Will definitely stay here again.

Relaxing Weekend Getaway

We were looking for an out-of-the-way retreat for a family weekend to de-stress, and this was great! We enjoyed the pool table and air hockey, and the table games we brought. There were also some books and movies provided. Although the kitchen and two of the three bedrooms were upstairs, the elevator was handy! There was also a mini-kitchen area downstairs in the pool table room, and a den/living room on each level with wall mounted TVs. Although Internet service was spotty, that wasn’t a big concern, as our intent was to get away from work and disconnect. We used the outdoor grill to cook some steaks one evening, and drove into Conroe for lunch at Joe’s Italian restaurant another day. (Joe’s was great!). Overall, it was just what we needed, and all four of us enjoyed our time there!

Music festival girls trip

What a beautiful property.! A little off the beaten path but close enough to stores, etc to not feel isolated. No problems getting Ubers to pick us up. The barndominium was adorable. Plenty of common spaces to spread out and visit and the bedrooms and baths were all comfortable and well appointed. Would definitely stay here again.

It was magical!

This enchanted property in the middle of the woods is everything you could hope for a secluded vacation while still within easy reach of the lake, restaurants, shopping and just a skip to Houston. Fantastic 5 star communication. We plan to go back soon!

Surrounded by nature

We loved it here , my kids were playing outside most of the time and especially in the game room . They have so many games for the kids , not only that but i loved the trails to the creek. We actually Didn't want to leave and wished we had booked it longer. We were here for 5 days and 4 nights, the property owner was very nice and very attended when I would call. I will recommend this place for anyone who loves nature and wants to be in a peaceful place with privacy. I will be staying here again, hopefully really soon.

Definitely worth the stay offers everything you can think while unplug from daily routine and all technology. Yet close enough to the city very nice staycation options for families and couples. The loft had Enough space for all guest of all ages to enjoy both downstairs and upstairs. Owners easy to get in touch with and comfortable to communicate with. There is cable available, WiFi. Things to enjoy #1. The small hike to the creek on the property our toddlers had so much fun playing in the creek water clear and clean. #2. Picnic area with grill included #3. The play room has lots of widows to overlook very relaxing in the mornings and fun to play the games in there like air hockey table and other games owners provide the noise is far away from other rooms. #4 the full size pool table downstairs and kitchenette useful for not having to go upstairs to the kitchen all the time. #5 the whole bathroom downstairs was very nice and accessible friendly huge plus. #6 full kitchen #7 the rooms thoughts out just right for everyone to sleep comfortably and have space for all their things #8 media room downstairs fun to watch movies and use the dvd owners have dvd library to choose from. #9 watching all the wild life around at all hours of the day. #10 this place was clean , neat , organized offers privacy all around , quite , felt safe. definitely will be back here. This place is a hidden gem.

Great Get-Away Spot

This was a very nice property. Plenty of space to spread out and enjoy our family. I would highly recommend it as a get-away.

Wonderful place for families!

This was the best place to stay! It is wheelchair-friendly and even has an elevator. There were so many activities available in the house like games, puzzles, etc. It is a beautiful house and has everything you could possibly need.

Betty and Randy are long term residents of the League City area. Betty always wanted a getaway with LOTS of trees, butterflies, and birds that the whole family could enjoy and relax. Randy's idea of relaxing and fun has always included water activities, golf and fishing so this place was a natural fit.
