Greenswood Cottage es una acogedora cabaña para dos, ubicada en una tranquila zona rural entre el pueblo de Strete y la ciudad de Dartmouth. A poca distancia en coche del centro de Dartmouth y cerca de las playas locales de Blackpool Sands y Slapton Sands (a 5 minutos en coche). A late getaway post surgery

Booked late but we were met by Helen who made us feel very welcome. We were invited to walk around her lovely garden which we made use of. Quiet peaceful spot and everything was there to make our stay comfortable.

Lovely quiet cottage set in beautiful grounds with views.

Lovely little cottage, tucked away but close enough to visit the surrounding towns and beaches. Beautiful gardens and views from the cottage and so quiet. Felt at home in the cottage and had everything that we needed for our stay. Afternoon tea was a welcome surprise. Owners were welcoming and available should we have needed anything. Enjoyed the area, in particular Dartmouth where we were able to take a boat trip and a steam train along the coast. Enjoy walking so we were spoilt for choice with many good walking spots. Would definitely return if in the area again.

Perfect holiday

Greenswood cottage was just perfect. The location meant peace and quiet and the gardens are an absolute delight, where better to relax. Our hosts were friendly, attentive and only too ready to please. The cottage is comfortable with all the necessary requirements including milk and eggs when we arrived. We would certainly recommend Greenswood and look forward to having a holiday there again. Excellent.

Greenswood Cottage (Garden Cottage) Greenswood Farm

We had a lovely week in Greenswood Garden Cottage. The farm is very peaceful and is set in a lovely little valley with ponds and beautiful gardens. It is a traditional farm cottage with everything you need. It is off the main road down a long driveway surrounded by lovely fields, it is a very pretty and peaceful location - just what we wanted. It is close to Blackpool Sands, Strete, Slapton Sands and Dartmouth. It is an easy short drive to the Dartmouth open top park & ride bus service, which is an excellent facility. We had a lovely week with lots of leisurely breakfasts followed by walks around the garden and down the valley to the ponds and enjoyed daily trips out to the numerous local attractions. We would be happy to recommend this and we hope to return.

We can really only endorse all the previous reviews.....

For a single person or a couple you would find it difficult to find better holiday accommodation in every respect. Very well cared for property with very good facilities. Dartmouth just over 15 minutes away, with Blackpool and Slapton sands just under 15 minutes away by car. A perfect base for exploring South Devon or just sitting around in the owner's stunning garden. Many thanks to Helen and Roger.

Fantastic Garden

What sets this property apart is the incredibly wonderful garden, which the hosts are quite happy for you to enjoy. If you love flowers, you'll love your stay. Added to this, it is set in the quiet rural beautiful hills and valleys of the South Hams, a five minute drive to the coast. Folks over 6' should remember to duck under the low beam when moving between the kitchen and living room - not a big deal. I loved my stay.

Comfortable cottage

Greenswood is lovely comfortable cottage tucked away down a long farm track. Peace and quiet is the key here as well as a fantastic garden to feast your eyes on. The cottage still has the name plate of Garden Cottage, not Greenswood, which threw us a bit at first, but it has everything you need for a short or long stay. Ample parking, although down a very steep small slope, be careful if you have a low vehicle! The owners are very friendly and allow you to stroll around their fantastic gardens and ponds. Good location for getting around.

Good location, very peaceful, but rather overpriced.

The location was lovely, very peaceful, but near to main roads for easy access to Dartmouth, Dittisham, Totnes etc. The garden on the valley side was beautiful, and we appreciated the use of it. However, the cottage was small, even for 2 people, and although we really enjoyed our holiday, we felt it was overpriced.

Enjoyed stay

Enjoyed stay and extended an extra day. Gardens lovely and facilities good. Found it to be a bit far out for us. Had recently been refurbished so all spick and span. Felt hosts could have been a bit more friendly.

Beautiful, relaxing, peaceful

Hard to fault this home. It’s very peaceful because you’re so far away from a road. The cottage overlooks the most incredible gardens that the owners are happy for you to explore. The property itself is very cosy and well appointed. It’s a good base to travel South Devon. You’ll need to drive each day but if you’re happy to do that, it’s ideal

Delightful Devon Cottage

We loved our week in Greenwood Cottage. It is delightful accommodation for two people - an oasis of calm yet within easy access of amenities, the Dart valley, beaches, countryside and a wealth of interesting places to visit. The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped and the gardens which we were able to wander through, sit in and marvel at are absolutely beautiful. Our hosts, Roger and Helen, could not have been more welcoming and helpful. A thoroughly enjoyable week.

Peaceful retreat

This was a lovely find just outside of Dartmouth. Accommodation was very clean, kitchen well supplied with all you needed including a sandwich toaster. The landscaped garden was simply amazing. This was a lovely place to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life .

Fantastic stay at Greenwood Cottage

Stayed for 4 nights at this lovely cottage with the most amazing oasis of a garden. Well located for visiting Dartmouth, Totnes, Kingsbridge and Agatha Christie’s summer house Greenway etc. The cottage is a home from home with everything you might need and would definitely recommend. The only negative is the king size bed for me which was a little soft for a bad back sufferer!

Heaven

Having rented a few cottages these last few years, The Greenswood is head and shoulder better than any of them. The sense of solitude and silence was wonderful, although the owners home is just yards from the cottage. We honestly can't think of a single fault. We were visited each evening by loads of moths but a light left on in the kitchen answer how to keep them out of the bedroom. Not a complaint but an interesting memory of heaven on earth.

A comfortable stay in a quiet location

The cottage was very comfortable and we had everything we needed given the current restrictions. A good location which was quiet with lovely garden and lots of wildlife. Has an away from it all feel while being a convenient distance from Dartmouth and main roads.

A sweet country cottage in beautiful surroundings

We stayed at Greenswood Cottage and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is such a sweet cottage bungalow which overlooks beautiful gardens including large ponds. It is lovely to walk around. We had a perfect peaceful getaway with everything we could ask for. We even had access to a chest freezer (for our sole use). There is plenty of parking and Dartmouth is just a 10-15 min drive away. An ideal base for exploring the many beautiful sites of South Devon. The cottage is well kept and very clean. There is a new two seater sofa and armchair which are very comfortable too. Helen and Roger were very kind and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely stay here again! Thank you again.
