I live off site, in Athens. I offer to guests for a self-service use and care my cottage with the modern comforts and the wide, quiet, verdant space next to the sea in Horto, a picturesque seaside village of Pelion. My guests enjoy alone their holidays there but they have help in emergency. Languages spoken greek, english, french, little italian.

Epavli Sofia built in 1900 was the house of my family in the countryside. I have pleasant memories of my childhood holidays in this house, so I have refit and fully renovated the old house with all the modern comforts and amenities.

The 1st floor apartment is an entire house, where guests feel at home, because they have their own place being alone & undisturbed, tele- working via the limitless wifi internet, relaxing on the sofa watching HD smart tv, cooking and eating according to their schedule inside & outside in the garden. The paved courtyard & the garden with two dining tables ensure privacy and relax by the sea. Epavli Sofia situated next to the sea (at 30m, only 5 min. walk to the beach) ensures swimming and sea sports in the calm waters of Pagasitikos gulf. The neighborhood is quiet because there only are cottages, no shops and no cars in the narrow alley. Horto is a picturesque seaside village far away from mass tourism, commercial & vehicles hustle and bustle. Its name is originated from the latin word hortus meaning garden, because of the verdant and leafy nature. The house is ideal for family vacations, particularly for children and for tele-working persons, because it ensures the sea and mountain leisure break , the privacy and tranquility in a comfortable & quiet place, 5 min. walk to the beach . Guests who like winter vacations drive to the nearby villages of Pelion, famous for the traditional architecture and the squares with the enormous centuries-old plane trees, hike on “calderimia”, the traditional stone paved paths into the lush vegetation and running waters, visit the antiquities in the surroundings of the city of Volos and the famous "tsipouradika", taverns serving tsipouro, a kind of ouzo, with sausages and seafood. Seaside taverns and restaurants in Horto serve fresh fish and local meal. Horto is a wonderful place during four seasons thanks to its beauty, quietness, vegetation and the calm, child friendly sea looking like a lake with the islands and the mountain ranges on the horizon. Horto is connected to the villages and to the city of Volos by public transport and is served by taxi drivers. Free parking in the square & elsewhere in the village.
