El edificio es un clásico de tres pisos casa de estilo criollo construido en la década de 1820 como una mansión privada. La mansión se convirtió en cuatro unidades de condominio en la década de 1950, dos pequeñas unidades de un dormitorio abajo y dos unidades más grandes arriba. Condo # 4 es una unidad de dos pisos, arriba, con un balcón sobre el patio, además tiene el interés histórico añadido de ser los antiguos "cuartos de esclavos" por lo que hay un sentido definitivo de Nueva Orleans pasado en el ladrillo original y estuco paredes Hay dos dormitorios, dos baños, una cocina grande, sala de estar, y la entrada formal. Es de hecho la quintaesencia histórica de Nueva Orleáns 'pied a terre'. Fue restaurado en 2013 de las uñas en la parte superior. Diseñado por los diseñadores de interiores más modernos de Nueva Orleáns, y construido por un experto local usando materiales y detalles correctos para el período, siempre que sea posible. Great place

Magical once we were able to access the property. We had keys but the outside door key didn’t work. Otherwise the place was true to pics and very private.

Gorgeous place and perfect location

The stay was amazing. I was able to speak to the owner constantly as I had questions and she was very responsive. The home was gorgeous and was comparable to pictures. It is in a perfect location near everything but far enough away that you don’t have to be in the mix at all times. Overall I am looking to stay there every time I visit New Orleans! I recommend!

Spectacular!

Total immersion into New Orleans! My husband and I brought our two grandsons (14 and 9) to New Orleans for their first trip and like us, they were totally impressed with the condo's authentic NOLA feel, and my oldest even said, "it sure is nice to be able to step out the door and be able to walk a half block and be in the middle of the action!" Although convenient to everything (two blocks to Jackson Square), the condo was a cool and quiet sanctuary at the end of busy days having NOLA adventures! Hands down, the BEST place we've ever stayed in New Orleans!

Rental was wonderful! Beautiful and unique with a location that couldn’t be better. Manager went above and beyond to make things convenient. Wish we had been staying longer than three nights... next time for sure. Seriously, can’t say enough nice things about this property and I travel and rent often!

Perfect location, cute/funky place, but needs a bit of attention.

Big plus to this rental is the perfect location! Quite steep stairs lead to the apt. The place is decorated nicely with a shabby chic look. Lovely kitchen area, but we never cooked . Why would you in New Orleans!? Just used it for breakfast and snacks. The AC worked well and kept the apt nice and cool on the warm, muggy days we were there. The apt is a bit dark and there were several bulbs burned out which didnt help. We had to buy our own hand and bath soap as there was none in either bathroom. These are just a few details that can be fixed with more attentive housekeeping. All in all it is a charming rental, just needs a bit of fine tuning.

2nd weekend of Jazz Fest

My friends and I (2 other ladies) stayed in this super cute, quiet, quirky condo and had a great time. The AC was nice and cold, location amazing and claw foot tub heaven after a long day at the Fest, bed are super comfortable, lots of nice thick towels. The condo is nice an quiet at night, clean and dark (great for sleeping in) Felt very save at all times, day and night. Only upgrade needed is a better shower head on other bathroom and a microwave Beyond that you are GOLDEN. 2 blocks from Coops, 1 block from Decatur, 5 min walk

Very charming.

It was as we hoped for, a very conveniently located historical spot full of old world charm. Due to the age of the building etc, there were some things that were not perfect but overall a great place if you are looking for a more authentic French Quarter experience. Also Mary was excellent to work with.

Stunning!!!

Absolutely perfect! The condo looks EXACTLY like the pictures. Everything you need is at your finger tips. The host Mary was super accommodating and anaswred any question I had. All the beds were extremely comfortable and the location could not be any better....right in the heart of all the action, but yet we never heard a peep of noise from the outside craziness. I would recommend to anyone and will definitely stay here again! Thank you!!!

Best location imaginable, charming, clean and comfortable!

Came here for three nights with our adult kids and had a blast. Walked everywhere and took the street car to the garden district for more walking. The apartment is exactly as described and shown. This place exudes charm! Homey, very authentic. Beds are comfortable, linens and towels were great, and everything was clean. A charming fountain in the courtyard below bubbles in the background.

Perfection in the French Quarter

We have done a lot of traveling all over the world and are hard pressed to come up with a more charming and perfect getaway. First off Mary was a pleasure in arranging arrival and departure. She was available at a moments notice but that proved to be unnecessary as her accommodations were spot on. The attention to detail in the apartment is fantastic. The place was artistic, shabby chic but also very functional. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the roof top deck is the perfect was to start and end the day. Good luck in finding a more perfect stay ANYWHERE!

Great location, eclectic vibe and great manager!

Just back from my first visit to New Orleans with my family and had a wonderful time thanks to this excellent property. Perfect location right in the heart of the French Quarter, walking distance to all the cool bars and restaurants. Quiet street, very cool property and excellent communication with Mary the property manager. HIGHLY recommend!

Wonderful stay in a great, walkable part of the Quarter!

We just loved this gem of a rental - so much character and felt very comfortable and home-like. Property was constructed in 1850 and we stayed in the upstairs unit overlooking the courtyard and fountain. Would highly recommend!

Charming, restful, beautiful historic apartment in a great location

This apartment exceeded our expectations. The owner and manager are great people and very welcoming. The decor was top notch and clever. Very well appointed as far as bedding, towels, and linens. A comfortable space that made our stay very enjoyable. More than enough room for 2 couples +. The journey up the spiral is fun and feels stable even with luggage. The rooftop deck was delightful for mimosas in the morning and sunset happy hour in the evening. The location is convenient and safe. We loved the neighborhood - and there's a decent grocery/liquor store just two blocks away - Matassas - and they deliver if you call them! A great stay overall - we will look forward to a return visit in this jewel!!

Decent nothing special

Location is perfect for French quarter shenanigans. Mary, the manager of the home was pleasant. We were required to mail the key back which had been mailed to us at our expense, which was inconvenient. There were not enough towels and bath mats. I personally use a new towel daily, even at home so I wasn’t happy to have to reuse for 3 nights. There were quite a few large roaches in the home, I love in the south so I understand seeing one, especially in rainy weather in an old home, but we saw at least 4. And there’s no microwave. It was decent but not great, I’ll get a hotel room in the future.

Beautiful Place ... Dishonest Posting

PROS - LOCATION: Right in the heart of the French Quarter. Everything in that area is very easy to walk to. Cafe DuMonde is right around the corner. Bourbon St. is just a few blocks up. Jackson Square and the riverfront are but a few blocks away. - LOOK: The photos do not do justice to how beautiful this place is. Such interesting architecture and thoughtful design. The space is full of so much history. Literally everyone's jaw dropped when they came in. If you want a unique NOLA feel - this is definitely it. - AC: If you don't understand the humidity of The South, you do not understand how necessary AC is - even in the middle of the night. Very comfortable inside. - RESPONSIVE: This is tricky. They responded to our texts and messages. Thats huge. But ... see cons below. CONS - PARKING: The listing indicates there is parking. There is NOT. We specifically chose this place because it listed parking. We specifically told them ahead of time that we would be driving up. Never mentioned the lack of parking. When we arrived, they eventually sent us a map to a public parking lot about 1/2 mile away. They said the lot was $25/day. It was NOT. Checking in Friday night and checking out Monday morning it cost us $160 in parking. Tried to let the owners know about this. No apology. No compensation. It would be one thing if we knew beforehand that this was the situation, but if you tell us there is parking available and there is not - it is dishonest. - WIFI: The wifi password was incorrect so we were unable to get any internet while we were there. Again, this is only a problem because something that was promised to us was not delivered. - NO GUIDEBOOK: This may be a temporary problem. While we were there the place had no guidebook with information about how to run the place (check out procedure, wifi passwords, etc.). We texted and were told the book had been destroyed by prior renters. - STAIRS: It is a double landing staircase from the main entrance up to the door of the place. Once inside the place, there is that spiral staircase to get up to the room with the two queen beds. We had a lot of luggage between five girls so this was a bit of an oomph. - KITCHEN: While aesthetically very pleasing, the kitchen is not extremely practical. Do not expect the modern day conveniences. The fridge was large and useable but the freezer is small. Don't expect to use this place to do a lot of cooking/food storage.

Perfect!

The pictures don’t do this beautiful place justice. It’s in a perfect location, walking distance to plenty of bars, restaurants, shopping and only about a 10 min walk to Bourbon Street. Mary was very easy to communicate with and provided lots of helpful information. I’d absolutely stay here again!

Looking for a home to call my own, I searched high and low for one that maintained that soulful culture and celebrated the history of the city. This apt is not your cookie-cutter HGTV renovation, it is one that celebrates everything that NOLA embodies.
