Harbour's Edge - Beautiful cottage located directly on Weymouth's harbourside.

Beautiful harbourside cottage with fantastic outlook onto Weymouth harbour. This two bedroom cottage is delightfully decorated and has everything you need for a wonderful vacation.

The kitchen is really well equipped & there is a washer dryer. Also twin fridges and under counter freezer.

The dining area is great for an evening meal & there is a view of the harbour from many of the rooms.

Parking permit at the cottage. Wi-Fi included, iron available, also hairdryer.

As well as a family bathroom there is a shower and hand basin in the Master bedroom.

Warning needed

Although we obviously knew this property is harbourside it would have helped enormously to understand the difficulty in unloading/loading on arrival and departure. If we'd known the access way led to a dead end and turning depended on the goodwill of the chap manning the Yacht Club carpark, we would have used the small carpark just before the causeway bridge to unload and avoided the scary drive up the harbour wall which had people milling all over it. The overspill carparks were constantly rammed even in May so what it's like parking in high season goodness knows!The cottage is lovely (perhaps too many knickknacks for our taste) but the creaky floors and door to the twin bedroom made a trip to the bathroom at night quite disruptive to other sleepers. A bit of oil on the door might help. Having bedside lamps in the twin room would help too.Having said that, the storage was great and the double fridges handy. Putting the dishwasher tablets under the sink would make more sense as we only found them by chance. But there was masses of equipment, pans, crockery, etc which was excellent. Putting felt protectors on the bottom of the dining room chair legs would cut back the scraping noise easily and maintain the peaceful atmosphere.The cottage is beautifully positioned for access to all the sights and restaurants as well as the wonderful beach which we made good use of. Watching the rise of the bridge everyday from the first floor sitting room or harbourside was thrilling!

Another lovely stay

The cottage is in the perfect harbour location. We enjoyed watching harbour life. The cottage has all you could want and everything is on your doorstep. We would recommend it.

Home from Home

This lovely cottage has everything for a relaxing stay, with plenty to see round about. We especially liked the chairs in the first floor sitting room window with all the harbour activity just below.

Wow, stunning!!!

Although the picture of the property are great, we feel that they didn't do this cottage justice. Everything you need in a holiday accommodation and so much more. Form the dishwasher (hubbies favourite), to the washer dryer. The stunning views of the harbour on your front doorstep are breathe taking and we really enjoyed a hot drink at night watching the boats go by, truly magical and we picked the best week for the weather. We will definitely be going back again, and seeing our holiday video's we'll have more family wisjing to go. Had a brilliant time and we can't wait to visit again. Weymouth has so much to offer and so does this property..

Harbours Edge June / July 2024

We had a very enjoyable stay at Harbours Edge. The House (not really a cottage) offers an lot more than described. Parking was only possible in the overspill park which once found was only a short walk but was full by late afternoon. The only points of note were that the overhead lights in the kitchen did not work and the grease filter over the hob was almost dripping! Lovely house but undersold, in particular description of the upstairs sitting room and it's view. No need for a tele with a nautical family like us.

Outstanding cottage

We have just got back from spending 4 lovely sunny days at this beautiful cottage. The cosy interior & furnishings are wonderful & the cottage was spotlessly clean. It’s position right on the harbour side & the wonderful views from the upstairs bay window is perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed sitting watching the comings & goings of all the boats & people. With pubs & restuarants around the harbour and only a very short walk across the harbour bridge into the town & to the beach, the cottage is in a fantastic location yet retains a quiet peaceful feel. We would not hesitate to stay again when visiting Weymouth.

Perfect Peaceful Getaway

We went out of season so were fortunate to be able to sit in the beautiful living room and enjoy the magnificent harbour view (beautiful at any time) on very quiet, chilly days . Everything you need is provided and the location is perfect to conveniently walk the whole of Weymouth. Will definitely look to book again.

The property is in the most idyllic location and the views over the harbour beautiful. The cottage is charming and functional with everything you need. There is loads to do in Weymouth and we didn’t use the car once. Can’t wait to return.

Lovely cottage with amazing views

The cottage is in a great location to see Weymouth and surrounded by lovely pubs restaurants and shops, all within east walking distance. The window seat of the cottage is somewhere you can sit for hours just watching the world go by.

Beautiful 3 storey quayside cottage overlooking Weymouth harbour.The joinery work throughout the cottage is exceptional this together with furniture and fittings of the same very high standard offers a luxurious and comfortable stay. Fantastic Waterside Cottage.

My wife and I chose this cottage to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary. It was a great choice. To call it a cottage is misleading. It is a good size house on three floors right beside Weymouth Harbour. It has everything you need for a relaxing, self catering holiday. Would like to visit again.

Perfect cottage to discover the coastline of Dorset.

Convenient location for a weekend stay in Dorset. Cottage was spotlessly clean and the owners provided great customer service. The welcome wine and crisps was a lovely touch too!

You will not be disappointed.

Owner’s instructions on getting there, parking and how what and where were clear and precise. This accommodation has everything you need and more. For 4 persons it spacious and comfortable with magnificent views of the harbour from the sitting room. The harbour shops, restaurants and pubs are in easy strolling distance. If you like Weymouth, you will definitely like this one off cottage, amazing.!

Situated on the harbour but not in a busy part of the harbour so peaceful. Didn’t need to use a car ( unless you wanted to) as there were plenty of easy walking places to fill a long weekend.
