Thank you for your feedback. We will always replace things that need to be fixed. If knives were rusty as you claimed and you would have let me know, we would have new ones brought to you. Beyond that due to this low- star rating, we feel the need to mention that this guest was full of complaints from the beginning and difficult to host. He texted me at 6am the first morning to say the coffee machine was not working, a light was broken in the kitchen, and a new lightbulb needed for bathroom. This was all weird because my family and I just stayed there the week before and left the day of his arrival, none of that was the case for us. I offered to come over to fix things and when I got there, coffee machine worked (he just didn’t push the carafe in all the way) and said a light was broken (he didn’t flip on the switch) and replace a light bulb in the bathroom (one of the four lightbulbs needed to be screwed in). The time period this guest stayed was during spring break so naturally, it’s a busier season in the town so there will be more people walking to/from the beach. That is the price you pay for living/staying close to the beach. It’s never really bothered our family too much and we still sleep and enjoy the area just fine. Our neighborhood has a security patrolling to ensure no spring breakers or young kids are having parties at night as well. The pictures reflect the current state of what house looks like, so if he wanted a home that was remodeled and updated then he should rent that and not leave a poor review because of it. This house is a comfortable, clean, functioning home in a fabulous neighborhood close to the beach.

Thank you for your feedback. Just want to be sure to clarify that Insurance is not required but optional so in case someone sees this can have that information. Also, guests are not asked to clean the place prior to leaving. However we do ask that they do not leave dirty dishes and be sure to put trash in the bins. Those two things could become time consuming as one could imagine if a cleaner walked into the unit with a bunch of dirty dishes and trash all over the place. The cleaners job is to turn over the beds, laundry, clean the bathrooms and the floors, wipe down all the surfaces, etc. We do not require guests to do those things.
