Perfect stay!! House was great, even with one bathroom! Large and spacious bathroom! The A/C actually cools the house down very quickly, was worried with the large A frame. Separate bedrooms definitely need the fans though, those were warmer, but we were comfortable. House was spectacularly clean. Our only negative is there is no smart TV. This seems so strange in a house that is so complete, mind you, on vacations we like to end nights with family movies. This made it not possible, we had to use our laptop. Vacations are not for TV, but watching movies is a bonding experience.Beautiful home, great location! You can’t go wrong.

The pictures of this house were what sold us on this one, and they don't even do justice to how cool this house is. We had some rainy weather, but were thrilled to just hang out in this space. We loved how close Indian neck beach was (we drove) and always found available parking at every Wellfleet beach (which we were worried about). This house was definitely a highlight of our trip to the Cape and will stay in our memories I'm sure. I hope we get the chance to stay there again.

Definitely clean & comfortable

This is our 2nd year of staying in this rental & we hope to come back next year! It’s a very comfortable open cabin style home with most everything included. We thoroughly enjoyed the advantage of being on a road that allowed both trail & road walking, running & biking — plus a really nice town beach — without venturing out onto Rte 6, if you didn’t want to! Every day was busy as we explored the variety of activities between Provincetown & Orleans, but it was always really nice to come back to the welcoming hominess of this place. Claudia is a very responsive host, a pleasure to interact with. A

Family reunion

This was our second stay at this property.The house is beautiful, and perfect for a family. When we returned, it was just as we remembered it. We felt at home the moment we walked in.

Our stay was wonderful!

We absolutely loved our stay here. It felt like a home. It was very clean and even better in person than pictures which is usually the opposite! The kitchen was stocked well w all u might need to cook with, and it was nice to have seasonings. I think the house was really cool and so nicely decorated. The host Claudia was so kind and very quick to respond. We had a wonderful trip and hope to visit again. Thanks so much Claudia.

Stunning Home

We found Claudia’s house to be beautiful, wonderfully comfortable, and in a perfect location. We took full advantage of the treasures in the Wellfleet area- so close to the bay and lovely trails for walking by the salt marshes- and it was always great to come back to at the end of the day to cook in the well-stocked kitchen. Claudia was always immediately responsive to any questions we had. This place is a true gem!

All the comforts of home

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We found the home very clean, comfortable, plenty of open space & with 5 bedrooms — lots of room to spread out. Kitchen was well equipped with all the essentials & then some! Easy access to multiple beaches & a variety of outdoor activities. Although we enjoyed Marconi Beach, we found Indian Rock Beach to be the favorite for swimming. We hope to return 😊 Thanks, Claudia!

Great family experience

We had a wonderful stay at the house with our family of 2 adults and 3 children (and our dog). The pictures really don’t do it justice – it is an elegant house with charm and style. We loved the open space, the well-stocked kitchen (much better pots and pans than your average rental house!) and the comfortable hang-out spaces. It’s close to Rt. 6 and Wellfleet but has a secluded feel. As a cyclist, I liked the basement with easy access to the road. Our son could even practice the piano! The homeowner was friendly in all communication. Our only small negative was that the mosquitos were awful on the deck; but I imagine that was true across the town! We hope to return.

Luxury cabin on the cape

Quality house with high ceilings and open spaces, great windows and many sliding doors to open house for outside air and lots of great deck space. Easy outdoor access to basement made for simple access to bikes and beach chairs . We would love to come back for another visit. Thanks Claudia!

Perfect!

This was really the perfect property for our family of 4 (2 parents and "kids" 20 and 18!). It is like the pictures but they dont capture the warmth and coziness of the place. It really is a cabin on the cap. It was clean as a whistle, had great collection of books, comfy furniture and stocked kitchen. We also loved that it is so close to Indian Neck Beach (1.5 miles). Great low-key beach. If you are looking for a family and friend cabin near beautiful beaches, this is it. THANK YOU for sharing it with us.

Wellfleet summer stay

The Cope house was absolutely beautiful! Claudia clearly spent a lot of time fitting the house out with everything a vacationer could possibly need. I found the property exceptionally clean and well maintained and plan on returning!

Great family vacation

The home was exactly as described! Plenty of space, extremely well equipped kitchen, very clean! Loved spending time sitting on the deck with a cup of coffee in the morning or glass of wine at night! Location was great for beach and dining out! Definitely a place to return to!

Charming beach house, perfect for family

I can’t say enough good things about this house! The pictures don’t do it justice. It is open and spacious and just what we imagined for our cape vacation. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out but still be together—perfect for family lounging, backyard playing, eating, puzzle making. Well equipped but also not overrun with other people’s leftovers (eg, 4 open bottles of ketchup in fridge, etc). Book it while you can, we hope to stay here again!

Great family reunion location

Open layout was great for big dinners, conversations, sharing music and group activities. Location is great to P-town or down to Orleans. Kitchen well suited for large group dinners, everyone had such a great time!

Wonderful,wonderful place!

The house was amazing! Very comfortable and clean…loved the great room and the skylights.The kitchen was amply stocked and we made dinner most nights because we didn’t want to leave the house.The wife loved the big bathroom.There was a nature trail just down the road that led to a beautiful marsh. Our little dogs loved the walk. Wellfleet is great because it’s in the middle of the Cape and it’s convenient to get to anywhere from Provincetown to Orleans. The house is very quiet with a nice yard that the dogs loved.The deck was an excellent place to sit and read one of the many books in the house library.Stayed in a lot of places on the Cape but this gem was by far the best! Hope to stay there again.

My Father, Peter Cope, built this home from hand with his many boat building skills. He based it on his boyhood memories of a summer home his grandfather had built in 1907 on the Pocano Lake Preserve. His aim was to create a home where family gathered to play and eat and laugh together.
