This lovely holiday home is in a fantastic part of York, so close to the town but also with "Bishy Road" on the doorstep. It has everything that you need close to hand. The house boast three lovely bedrooms, the top room being a good size twin. The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and there is also a house bathroom for the other two bedrooms. Downstairs you will find a cloakroom and a wonderfully comfortable and cosy lounge, with a flat screen TV for when you fancy a night in. The kitchen has everything that you need, including a Nespresso coffee machine and it leads off to the courtyard where you can sit and enjoy a morning coffee or afternoon glass of wine. The owners have taken great care with the finishes in the property to ensure your comfort during your holiday stay in York.

Please note that the double bed in the property is actually a small double.

Another Great Stay

Stayed for the 3rd time at the house and it was once again in excellent condition. All needs are catered for with lots of kitchen utensils including a Nespresso machine. Only thing missing was a corkscrew so had to buy one! Would definetely return again and again.

We had a lovely stay in York. The house was situated about a 15 min walk into the centre which was ideal location. It was clean, comfortable and beautifully furnished. Would def book again.

Had a lovely stay, only really big enough for 4-5 adults- they’re were 4 of us so absolutely fine.Great location near the fab “Fleurie”bakery and would recommend the Thai up the road.

Great house in a great location

15 min walk to York, excellent local resteraunts, lovely clean house. Only minor comment would be that with all supplied utensils there is little room for food storage. Bedroom storage excellent and comfortable throughout.

Delightful place in York

The property was delightful - spacious for the 3 of us, clean and had everything we needed. It was amazingly quiet and only a 10 minute walk into the heart of York. Ideal place and ideal location - would highly recommend.

Property far exceeded our expectations!

This is an excellent property and it far exceeded our expectations. The photos don't do it justice! It's stylish and relaxing. Everything you need to enjoy your stay is available. We would definitely recommend this property - it's within walking distance of central York and there's an excellent range of shops and cafes just around the corner.

House was great! Perfect location and had everything we needed. Really liked being close to York as well as more local shops. Minor niggles: a Nespresso machine is provided but no pods! The king bedroom smelt of drains (am assuming from the ensuite). Overall a great stay and would definitely book again.

Lovely property

A lovely property only a short walk from the stations. The area was very quiet and friendly. The house was lovely and warm and cosy. It was big enough for a family to stay in. The kitchen needed a little more storage space for food etc and there could have a been a few more essentials such as dishwasher tablets left but all in all it was very well equipped and we would definitely book to stay again.

Stays are a superb renting company and very responsive. The cottage is a small modernised Victorian terrace. It’s listed as 6 adults but probably better as 2 adults, 3 children. Sparkling 2.5 bathrooms, and modern kitchen. We had a nice 7 nights.

Fantastic location, comfortable cottage

We had a lovely week staying at Bishop's Court Cottage with our toddler. The location is fantastic, only a short walk into the centre of York, and with all the independent shops and cafes of Bishopthorpe Road on the doorstep. Our 2.5 year old absolutely loved Rowntree Park, which is also just a short walk away. The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped. A few more chopping boards, wooden spoons and oven gloves for those like us who will be eating in most days would be great, but very minor points. Parking was a bit tight but we always found a space on the same street. We did have an issue with the parking permit expiring half way through our stay leading to a parking permit, but Stays York sorted this for us very quickly. We would stay here again.

Another Great Stay

Stayed in the house for the 2nd time and once again it was excellent. Great location to walk into York away from the hustle bustle but has some lovely local bars and shops on the Bishy Road. Have recommended to friends who are coming to York for the racing as it’s a fantastic location for that.

Excellent house in good location

Very comfortable house in a pleasant area, within walking distance of the City centre and of a local shopping parade with a variety of interesting independent shops, plus a Sainsbury's Local. Comfortable sitting room with large TV . Well equipped kitchen, but could have done with some pods for the coffee machine. Filter coffee provided in the welcome pack but no cafetiere to put it in. Beds comfortable and good quality large towels. Could have done with some hooks in the bathrooms and bedrooms and a chair in the main bedroom. Otherwise cannot fault it.

Bishops Court Cottage

Lovely clean house equipped with everything we needed during our stay. The 2nd double bedroom is very small but everything else was great. The house is in an ideal location for walking into York. The welcome box was a lovely touch.

Beautiful home

Really enjoyed our stay in this lovely home. Beautifully decorated. Close to all amenities. Very convenient location. Would highly recommend this home and will return. Only problem; parking permit issued was out of date. This resulted in me receiving a parking fine. This was frustrating and upsetting. Fine was paid immediately by StaysYork but left me wondering everyday if I would receive another fine.

Thank you very much for taking the time to review the property. We would again like to offer our sincere apologies for the inconvenience regarding the parking permit. As you have said, we paid the parking fine immediately for you. Following the councils decision to move to digital permits, with the exception of holiday lets, there is unfortunately a back log with the council for paper permits. The permit had been applied for prior to it running out, however we are still waiting for the replacement. We hope that this will not prevent you from booking again as this is a lovely property, situated in a great part of York.

Time allowed in holiday let

The holiday let was beautiful exactly as pictures etc. However, we couldn’t get in before 4pm on the Saturday and had to vacate the property by 10pm on the Monday. Therefore, this was an expensive stay when we only got one full day!!! Disappointing.
