Good Location, So-So Accomodations

The up-side: The place is within walking distance to Berkeley and very close to UCBerkeley (although it is up a hill). It's roomy and can easily accommodate 6 people. The beds are comfortable. Also, it has two (tandem) off-street parking spaces which is a plus for the area. The down-side: If you're looking for the view that shows on the website (one of the attractions for us), the trees have grown and the view is pretty much gone. Overall, the place is a little run-down (beat up kitchen cabinets, yard sale type furniture, holes in the bedsheets, bathroom light bulb not working) and not super clean (the floors seemed like they hadn't been vacuumed before we arrived, the entire kitchen and most of the dishes/utensils/pans could use a good scrubbing, and when we opened the dryer, it was full of sheets and had pretty gross dust and dirt all around the seal). Also, the kitchen is not that well stocked. Dishes are a bit of a mish-mash and it didn't have many basics like a large pasta pan, pancake turner (spatula), vegetable peeler, pot holders, etc. And, we were there for 5 nights but the paper towels and TP only lasted about 2 days. It's probably hard to find a really nice place in Berkeley, and this place could be nice with a little more TLC.

Great experience!

The place delivered on all it promises - clean, large, great view and just a few minutes away from the city. You will need a vehicle, but the dedicated parking spot means you don't spend time hunting to park it. The reservation process was smooth, and Jennifer was always prompt in attending to any questions. I have no hesitation in recommending this rental.

Fantastic place, the smoothest rental process ever

Four of us stayed at this amazing place for two nights when we came for my daughter graduation in May. The place is spotless and feels like home - really nice and comfortable furniture and bedding. The view is fantastic, perfect location, cant be more impressed. I would definitely stay here again, loved it. Thank you Jennifer!

Amazing View, Well-Equipped and Comfortable

This rental was very clean, roomy and comfortable for our family of 5. The deck is amazing with a view all the way to the bay and the Golden Gate Bridge. The kitchen had everything we needed for preparing a big Thanksgiving feast and the spacious living room had lots of seating. The owners were wonderful to work with; very accommodating and friendly. What a find!

Immaculate & perfect!

On our recent trip to the U.S.A we stopped in San Francisco for 3 nights.....this unit was exactly what we were looking for, not too close to the city but close enough to everything we needed to access. We got there a little early, but the maid was more than happy for us to leave our luggage there & even offered to put some things my daughter threw up over into the wash for us before we came back. The owners were extremely wonderful in accomadating our special needs regarding chemical sensitivity, we were even left special chemical free soaps & detergent. The unit was immacculate, clean & the beds were the most comfortable we had during our 4 weeks of travel. We were glad we had a car & GPS as the surrounding hills are steep. Thanks very much for everything, to make our stay memorable.

This is really a lovely f...

This is really a lovely flat. The pictures convey quite well how it feels. The unit is compact, but all the rooms are of a very generous size. Nothing feels cramped. The kitchen is well furnished. The furniture and beds are all very comfy. It is indeed kid friendly, with not only a pack and play, but a high chair, plastic dishes, a baby bottle, etc. There is a lovely view, mostly of trees but also toward the bay. There is a dedicated covered parking place that goes with the unit. The street is very quiet. We liked everything about it. A great place to stay.

We stayed in this apartme...

We stayed in this apartment for 4 nights in August. The condo is lovely with everything you could need for a great stay. The decor is very modern & comfortable and the deck has nice views of San Francisco. Just a short walk takes you to the university area of Berkeley where you can catch a train to Fisherman's Wharf. All in all a lovely stay. Thank you :)
