A lovely villa but ….

This villa is listed as luxury- it isn’t. It’s large and roomy but quite basic. Everywhere I have stayed there has always been certain things at the villas. Cleaning products, extra bin bags etc, there was nothing. The pool area is lethal- so slippery. And the pool was unusable due to being absolutely freezing. Again I’ve been to many villas and never had such a cold pool. Always confuses me how the sea is like a bath and the pool is frigid. The furniture was extremely uncomfortable both inside and outside and the sun beds were so flimsy anyone larger than a child would worry about breaking them. There was a big problem with ants, inside and out, and we were very careful to put food away and clean up after ourselves. On the whole we had a lovely week, there are 2 lovely tavernas within walking distance and we love Georgioupoli which is a 15/20 min drive away. We would definitely stay in kefalas again but not at this villa.

Great house and pool area.

The house is situated 20min by car from the beaches in Kalyves. The village of Kefalas is 5 min walk from the house. There you find minimarkets and a few restaurants. The water in the pool is very clean and cool. Very nice. There are 6-7 sunbeds and several places to find shade when needed. There are many ants in the kitchen area if you do not clean up all food. Outside there is an orchestra with sirisses all day long😎 Great place to stay but you do need a car to get around. There Are 3 bedrooms with double beds and 1 with single. 1 bath in each floor.

Perfect place to relax after a stressful exam season. The pool was perfect the sunsets were beautiful and the BBQ was ideal. Despite not renting a car we found that travelling by taxi and bikes to the local towns of Almyrida and Vamos as well as a night out in Chania were all very easy and enjoyable. Would definitely recommend both the Tavernas in Kefalas as well which were both lovely. All in all a great and affordable holiday

Highly recommend this villa

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Eva. The house was basic but suited our requirements. Lots of storage in the 2 twin rooms. A/C in bedrooms much appreciated. Standouts were the fantastic pool that was clean, with no debris, at all times! The view of the mountains was spectacular. Short walk up the road to Kefalas which had 2 lovely restaurants, a bar and 2 mini markets. All very welcoming. We were very sad to leave.

It was absolutely brilliant. Our holiday was more than what we expected. Excellent facilities, great location, and lovely staff. Properly cleaned with all the amenities in place. The pool area was fantastic with plenty of space to relax. Great location, close to the restaurants, tavernas, and bars, as well as a supermarket. We would use this agency again with pleasure and will recommend this property to all our friends.

We had an amazing time. We stayed in the Villa Eva which was clean, comfortable, and cozy and had everything we needed for a 2 weeks holiday at a reasonable price. The pool and gardens were so lovely and well-maintained. We chose this villa because of its location, we wanted tranquillity to unwind from our busy lives and this villa provided us with everything we needed without needing to leave the property so we could relax. The agents as well as the owners were also amazing. Highly recommend!

Everything was excellent! Properly cleaned with all the amenities in place. The kids loved the pool and we felt very safe in the privacy that offers this villa. Nearby are a lot of restaurants, bars, and supermarkets. Also, the nearest beach is just 4 minute drive from the property. Thanks to everyone that look after us before and during our stay.

We spent a superb time at Villa Eva!! The living room and the kitchen were very well-equipment and comfortable. Cozy bedrooms and the beds were very comfortable too. Both of the bathrooms were nice and large and had great showers. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor seating area and perfectly secluded swimming pool. Nearby are nice places with lots of restaurants and tasty local specialties. We highly recommend Villa Eva!

Good overall experience. It was very refreshing to arrive at this villa and it had absolutely everything we needed. Clean, cozy, and tastefully decorated. The villa itself was very beautiful with a lovely big garden and a swimming pool enough big to enjoy the sun. The outside dining area was also great for dining and we spent every night there. While we were there, we also visited: Omprogialos and Paralia Kalives and spent an amazing time enjoying their beauties. We will come back for sure!

Good stay, not luxury as advertised

Good stay, the property is listed as luxury which I would disagree. It is a normal standard villa. It has a tiny dishwasher for the size of the property. No dishwasher tabs or bin liners provided. Other villas we have stayed at in Crete have left a small welcome pack of bread and milk too which wasn’t left here. There is a washing line with 5 pegs so we asked for more which was provided (9 more) after using the washing machine. There was ants all over the kitchen counter and on the floor when we asked for any powder was told can buy spray from shops out of our own money. The bedrooms are of good size and all had air conditioning which was set at a min temp of 22°. The downstairs shower needs attention as the shower needed to be tied onto the holder with a bag as it was broken ahead of our arrival. The pool area was lovely and the pool is a great depth. The wooden sun loungers also need maintenance as some are broken / worn out. The property is advertised as having umbrellas which you need to fold down however there are no parasol umbrellas. The property manager let us know they built a pergola instead? There isn’t any comfortable cushioned seating to enjoy outside but various table and chairs. Overall we did have a good stay, but want to add you cannot list this as a luxury property with the above mentioned. The local area had a taverna and small super market and was a 15/20 min drive to georgiopolis and also kefalas which are both great for the beach and restaurants.

Its a wonderful home, spacious, cozy, and well-designed. The pool is great and the bbq & outdoor dining area is perfect. The location was terrific too, very quiet and with a car very close to the beach, there are also lots of great places to visit nearby by car. I would definitely recommend a stay at Villa Eva.

Very nice & quiet location. The village(Kefalas) is unspoiled and very relaxing but not too far from road links and the coast. At the last minute, we were able to get a reservation. A few shops and tavernas at 10 minutes walk. Will definitely be staying at this villa again.

Villa

La location se fait finalement avec une agence. Pour avoir les indications d arrivée, il faut donc s enregistrer sur le site de cette agence et au passage payer 42€ d assurance non comprise dans le forfait abritel du depart. Toutefois, l agence gère très bien. Nous avons eu un problème de clé (1 seule clé cadenassée au badge électricité. Si celle ci reste sur la box et que nous fermons la porte, nous sommes coincés à l l'exterieur !). L'agence a très bien géré ce problème. La maison était plutôt propre. A l arrivee, nous avions 1 eponge, 1 liquide vaisselle et 2 bouteilles d eau. Les photos sont tout de même "trompeuses". Le format grand angle nous laisse à penser que c est très spacieux. Or, la réalité est différente. La promiscuité avec les voisins était parfois gênante ( nuisances sonores). Une des chambres à l étage est étouffante tellement elle est petite. La literie est de très mauvaise qualité ( obligée de prendre un matelas de transat sur le matelas tellement je sentais les ressorts). Les équipements et meubles sont vieillots voir vétustes (ex: rideaux de douche qui ont des taches de moisissures, lave vaisselle qui ne lave absolument pas_ qui au passage est une demi charge, pas de chaleur décorative...). La maison est à 2 heures d Heraklion, 1 heure des autres villes et environ 20 à 30 mn des points à voir. Il y a par contre des petites épiceries à proximité. Le point réellement positif est la piscine avec sa terrasse et sa vue. Globalement Déçue du rapport qualite/prix pour cette "villa".

Viele Enttäuschungen, aber insgesamt okay

Anfangs waren wir ziemlich enttäuscht und zum Teil entsetzt, weil Vieles nicht der Beschreibung auf der Webseite entsprach. Wir haben uns dann an Manches gewöhnt und Manches behoben, so dass es insgesamt ein schöner Aufenthalt war. Bei unserer Ankunft fanden wir vor allem in der Küche Vieles sehr dreckig vor: An einem Topf klebten noch alte Spaghetti, mehrere Gläser waren offensichtlich ungespült in den Schrank geräumt worden und auch die anderen Geschirr- / Besteckteile waren nicht sehr vertrauenerweckend. Ich habe die Schränke und Schubladen ausgewaschen und alles komplett gespült, danach fühlten wir uns wohler, aber das war nicht der erholsame Urlaubsstart, auf den wir uns gefreut hatten. Die Küchenausstattung ist zusammengewürfelt und die Spülmaschine winzig (reicht für ca. 1 Mahlzeit bei 4 Personen, da kann man schneller per Hand spülen). Außerdem war auch das Sieb der Spülmaschine so verdreckt, dass die ersten Spülgänge nicht sauber wurden. Die Außenmöbel stimmen nicht mit den Bildern überein; das war nicht schlimm, aber hier sollten aktuelle Bilder eingestellt werden. Ein Gartenstuhl und eine Liege waren defekt. In der oberen Etage waren ein Hocker und sämtliche Schubladen eines Kleiderschrankes defekt. Die Einrichtung ist insgesamt in die Jahre gekommen und zeigt z.T. deutliche Gebrauchsspuren. Außen waren mehrere Lampen an der überdachten Sitzecke defekt, andere Lampen rund um den Pool ließen sich nicht ausschalten, so dass es nachts unnötig und störend hell war. Der Pool-Abfluss ist ab 8 Uhr morgens extrem laut!!! Wir haben alte Decken auf die Metallabdeckung gelegt, um den Lärm zu dämpfen. In beiden Badezimmern waren die Fensterhebel defekt, so dass wir das untere zunächst mit Hilfe einer Plastiktüte zugebunden haben. Immerhin wurde das direkt repariert, nachdem wir es gemeldet hatten (bei der ersten Reinigung). Die Waschmaschine pumpte das Wasser nicht ab. Eine Bedienungsanleitung gab es nicht. Die Maschine wurde am nächsten Tag ausgetauscht. WLAN funktionierte erst am 3. Tag nach mehrfacher Erinnerung. Nach einem Blitzeinschlag in der 2. Woche war es dann wieder hin, weil der Router ausgetauscht werden musste. Der Kamin im Wohnzimmer ist eine Attrappe. Im Sommer kein Problem, aber zu kühleren Zeiten enttäuschend. Die Betten waren sehr hart, die Fliesen um den Pool sehr glatt, viele Würmer und Asseln im und am Haus, der Pool war himmlisch! Mehr Platz zum Schreiben habe ich leider nicht. Wir würden trotz allem wiederkommen.

Short stay

Overall we had a good holiday but we all our had various views on this villa. It is a bit tired in places, there was only 3 of us and if 8 had been in the villa the living area and kitchen were a bit small. The pool was lovely, some of the outside furniture needed a revamp though. The location was ok, there are shops and 2 tavernas near by. My main feedback is about the need for a deeper clean in the bathrooms, all around the toilets, behind the sink and doors, some old furniture that needs a bit of TLC. The book telling you about Crete needs more local info in, a small map of the area would have been helpful, the taxi numbers, nearest beach directions, shop opening times. It was mainly showing you the other villas you can rent so it needed to be more local user friendly. Overall we had a good time and went to Herman’s Beach and bars, everyone is very friendly and helpful and overall I can’t complain about the villa just think if the points raised are addressed it would be even better. It doesn’t need a a lot but these little things make would help.

Lovely villa with great view.

We enjoyed a lovely week staying at Villa Eva. The location is good with a beautiful view. It is within walking distance of three restaurants and a small shop. The outside area has plenty of sun beds and seating areas for a large group. The swimming pool is a good size and clean. The only criticism we have is that the beds were a bit hard but overall we enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

We had a lovely week staying at Villa Eva. It is situated in a good location with beautiful views. There are three restaurants and a small shop a short walk up the hill. The swimming pool is a good size and clean. The outside area has plenty of sun beds and seating areas for a large group. The only criticism we have is that the beds were hard but overall we enjoyed our stay and hope to return.
