Modelled on the style of local villages, Forge House is set in a secluded, traffic free location within the Water Garden in Mill Village on the exclusive Lower Mill Estate. Built in a traditional Cotswold style, this well furnished and welcoming property comprises of 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms a good sized lounge and dining area with cosy wood burning stove and French doors leading to an enclosed, secluded decked area, perfect for sitting and for children to play, with a small and shallow stream and lake beyond. The cottage is an excellent property for holidaying with friends and family.

Complimentary Wifi (fast connection) and Netflix is included and we welcome pets. A good-sized travel cot and high chair is available for our smaller guests. There is also a Dolce Gusto coffee machine, a BBQ and an outdoor wood fired pizza oven.

This delightful Cotswold stone cottage offers a tranquil haven for nature lovers (5 large lakes within 500 acres of secluded parkland). An outdoor heated swimming pool, sauna, tennis court, table tennis, playground and indoor soft play area complement this stunning property and is included in your stay. Please bring towels if you wish to use the pool - you will be provided with towels to use in the house.

Bikes, kayaks and canoes are available on site for rental and local fishing is also available on the estate. Please note that we do not have access to the onsite spa.

There is an allocated private parking space nearby the property and an overspill car park on the estate, which is free and a short five minute walk from Forge House.

The Ballihoo restaurant, pizza shack and farm shop are exclusively for the use of Lower Mill Estate holidaymakers and offers a comprehensive breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks and takeaway menu. Diners can enjoy and purchase the finest and freshest local produce in a modern eco-friendly environment that delivers a true taste.

The village of Somerford Keynes is a 5-minute walk away and its village pub offers a warm welcome, home cooked food and real ales. Restaurant on site (opening days and hours seasonal).

Hen and stag parties are prohibited. All guests are asked to sign in advance a Code of Conduct governing behaviour at Lower Mill. This sets out the main Estate Rules and forms part of the rental contract. The Code of Conduct is designed to make all guests aware of the ethos of Lower Mill before they arrive and to promote consideration for others. This ensures that the expectations of both guests and owners are respected and that the enjoyment of Lower Mill is enhanced for all.

The historic town of Cirencester, which is known as the capital of the Cotswolds, with its beautiful church and town square is just 6 miles away. The picturesque Cotswold villages such as Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold and Chipping Campden are only a short drive away. Bath and Oxford are easily accessible for those who wish to explore further afield.
