Encantador apartamento en el corazón de un pequeño puerto pesquero de Normandía 2 noches

En el puerto, a 2 pasos barcos de pesca, restaurantes, tiendas, mercado semanal y 150 m del mar. Este apartamento dúplex, lleno de encanto le da la bienvenida a un espíritu que combina mar antiguo y contemporáneo.
Situado en el 1er piso de una casa de piedra (por encima de una floristería), el apartamento de unos 65 m2, para 4 personas, se compone de una cocina totalmente equipada (vitrocerámica, campana extractora, horno, lavavajillas, refrigerador, TV, alta fidelidad, la estación iPhone ...) con una ventana con vistas al puerto, un baño con lavabo encantador, ducha, WC, lavadora y secadora).
En la planta superior, 2 habitaciones en el ático con tragaluces, muy cómodo: una que incluye una cama de 160 * 200 + sala de estar (sofá, 2 sillones, TV, DVD), la segunda con 2 camas de 80 * 190 se pueden combinar en una cama individual 160 * 190, segundo baño.
Maquinaria nueva para la calidad, acogedor, WiFi, selección de libros, CDs, DVDs, .... Los alquileres están 'a la carta' de 2 noches: fin de semana, entre semana, semanas ... y los paquetes son todo incluido (cargas ropa de cama - sábanas, toallas, torchons-, hogar final de la estancia, wifi ...). Libres aparcamientos públicos cerca. No hay aparcamiento en frente de la casa pero una eliminación minutos es posible en frente de la casa. No fumar, no mascotas. El propietario de 'El Espíritu del Puerto' también ofrece pequeños apartamentos para 2 personas en 'La Maison Matelot (ref HomeAway Nº 873 395), a 50 metros.

Great place

This property was clean, charming and well located. I highly recommend it. We had a problem with the key sticking in the lock...but were able to get it open after a struggle with the lock. All in all the place was wonderful. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants charm and cleanliness and location. Joyce

Superb place to stay in Normandy

If your looking for a quiet, picturesque, and seaside getaway in Normandy, this is the place for you. Located in the heart of Normandy, all WW II sites are within a short driving distance. Also too, easy driving to Bayeux and Mt. St. Michele. Madame Barbey is very responsive, and we will be recommending her apartment to all of our friends who will be traveling to Normandy.

We spent 2 nights at this beautiful apartment in a charming port town.The apartment is well appointed and well kept. Astrid was very welcoming and helpful during our arrival. She recommended several restaurants in the area. We tried them and they were all good and good value. The apartment overlooks the port. We enjoyed watching the fishing boats come and go. The apartment has a washer and dryer that are easy to operate. Coffee pods and other basic essentials were provided for us. The apartment was very clean and well maintained. If we are in this area again, we will definitely book a stay here.

This is a great place. My wife and I stayed for 3 nights and loved it. Just right.

Our hostess was amazing. The place was amazing. The town was amazing. Everything worked, the apartment was well stocked. Let's be honest. No place is 100% perfect. Sure, the view could be better or the parking or whatever. But this place had all the important things. Would we come back? in a heartbeat.

Perfect apartment in quaint seaside village.

We stayed here for two nights to be close to Normandy sites. It is very close to Omaha beach and about 1.5 hours for Mont St. Michel. The town is small, but very cute. It has everything you need, but be sure to get what you need by 7 or 8. Astrid is a great hostess and very helpful. The apartment is great and will not disappoint. The kitchen was perfect and had most things that a cook would need. Highly recommend.

Charming Apartment in Desirable Location

We stayed here for 6 nights in June 2017 and would do it again in a heartbeat. Astrid was wonderful to work with, she met us at the house and went through all the house specifics and was available for any questions. The home is clean, well-maintained, and wonderfully decorated - perfect for a charming port town. Great towels, blankets, fans, kitchen essentials, etc. - and comfy beds & pillows. The location is absolutely ideal - lots of local restaurants right out the door, a grocery store literally around the corner, a pharmacy across the street, and a fabulous local farmers market on Sundays with incredible paella, fruits, and vegetables. The Omaha Beach Golf Course is about 5 minutes away as well. It is perfectly situated for exploring the sites of Normandy. We wanted a quaint quiet town for our vacation, and this was it. The streets "roll up" just after sunset, it is not a party town. We recommend grabbing a late dinner on the harbor and watching the sunset from Vauban Tower. Or take a stroll on the shell-covered beach when the tide rolls out. And be sure to stop for some ice cream as you wander home :) One thing to keep in mind: There is one rather tall set of stairs to enter the apartment, and another set to get to the bedrooms, just in case anyone has trouble with stairs. That said, my husband and I both have knee issues (he got a brand new on in January) and we were able to handle them just fine. But honestly this is one of the best HomeAway rentals we've ever stayed in, and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to have a quiet getaway to explore the charms and history of the Normandy area.

Exceptional apartment with all the amenities one would want.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment. Astrid warmly welcomed our party of 3. Since we had a car, we appreciated the convenient parking. The decor was unique and interesting. The appliances were modern. It was nice to have a washer & dryer too. The location was perfect for us to take in the Normandy Beaches. The port town was a relaxing environment to walk, dine, & sit by the water. We would definitely stay here again & highly recommend this location to others. Thank you, Astrid for sharing your lovely apartment with us.

REPLICATE please!

When we walked in the door my sisters both exclaimed, "I want to take pictures and remodel my kitchen at home to look just like this.' The apartment was fabulous! Tucked away in a tiny town on the bay. After 4 days in the hustle/bustle of PARIS - this place was a little haven. We came to see all of the Normandy beaches and walk the shores our uncle walked on D-Day as a US Army medic. I can't encapsulate all I would like to say in such short space. The bakery down the street was divine. We ate there 2 times and I would have brought pastries home on the plane, had there been a feasible way. We wanted to put the flower shop next door in a suitcase (some items we DID manage to buy and bring home). Thank you for the beautiful roses in the hallway. I thought they were peonies based on their huge size, but their distinct aroma interrupted that thought immediately. A rose is a rose. We will be back in 2 years and hopefully bring our 85 year old dad with us to walk those beaches too. But if that happens, we need a property for 20+ since the extended family will be with us. Thank you for being a fabulous hostess Astrid. We loved it!!!

Great Location

UNE SEMAINE DE RÊVE AVEC LES ENFANTS

Confort, dépaysement et tout à portée de "pied"... La location est conforme aux photos c'est à dire décorée avec beaucoup de goût et très propre. Très bon accueil ! Cosy, dès qu'on franchit le pas de la porte on se sent très bien, couleurs apaisantes, lits confortables, toute la vaisselle nécessaire... Vue sur le port et magasins indispensables à portée de pieds (supérette, pharmacie, boulangerie pâtisserie...). Nous reviendrons sans doute découvrir un autre gîte des propriétaires à Port en Bessin Huppain :-)

Highly Recommended!

Amazingly charming two bedroom apartment that lives up to the pictures. Wonderful location in town (nice grocery store next door, great bakery around the corner and terrific seafood restaurants within walking distance) and very convenient for Normandy highlights - Omaha Beach, American Cemetery and Bayeux are all within a 20 minute drive and Mont Saint Michel, Rouen, and others are easy day trips. There are so many thoughtful details throughout the apartment - well stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, good wifi connection, delightful books, comfortable beds with great linens, Ralph Lauren towels, soap and shampoo for the shower, etc. The owner, Astrid, was very welcoming and was available to answer any questions (not that we had any after her helpful introduction to the apartment). Such an easy stay! We had such a lovely time that we can't even imagine staying anywhere else in Normandy. We can't wait to return!

Perfect location

We arrived in this charming fishing village right in the heart of D-Day countryside. The tourist to locals ratio was low - a bonus !. All attractions were only 20-30 Km away by car. Accommodation was "compact" but very adequate. Low ceilings + lots of stairs needed careful attention. The kitchen was well stocked ..... the beds were comfortable .... All like "home". Would recommend this spot for four ..... Kids not too young + adults not too old !!

Very comfortable apartment in a wonderful location.

Very clean and well equipped two bedroom apartment in a wonderful location. Port-en-Bessin is a fishing village (only 9 km to Bayeux!) with many excellent shops and restaurants, a daily fish market on the wharf and a weekly street market on Sunday. It is perfectly located (between Omaha and Gold Beaches) for D-Day attractions and Mont Saint-Michel, Saint Malo and Honfleur are easy day trip options. A good grocery store is next door! The unit's kitchen is very functional and well stocked. The bathroom is also modern with a shower but no bathtub. The beds are very comfortable. Astrid, the owner, was charming and helpful. Looking forward to returning to this unit someday.

Quaint apartment in Port en Bessin

We spent 2 nights at this property, allowing us to see the landing beaches and the countryside of Normandy. The apartment was beautiful and situated perfectly next to the canal. Astrid was a charming and helpful lady which added even more to the weekend. We wouldn't hesitate to return or to recommend this to anyone looking for a small, quiet village by the sea in Normandy, centrally located, and with all the comforts and amenities you would ever need.

Very cute - great apartment

We just stayed at this apt near the coast. The apt was very cute and clean, and was perfect for our family of 4-plus it was well-equipped with coffee maker, W/D, hairdryer, corkscrew, etc. Astrid was very accommodating -- met us to show us the apt when we arrived and then again when we were departing to return our deposit. This was a perfect spot for doing a tour of the D-day attractions; we also had a car and did a day trip to Mont St-Michel and Bayeux. There are cute local restaurants and stores, although things do tend to shut down at a fairly early hour each evening. We highly recommend this apt and would happily stay there again! As mentioned by others, there are stairs if that is an issue.

Très beau séjour .

Bel appartement tel que les photos, propre et confortable , avec toutes les commodités et tous les équipements fonctionnels. L'accueil est chaleureux et agréable, on se sent rapidement chez soi; nous recevons toutes les informations utiles pour un agréable séjour . Tout est à distance de marche pour l'épicerie, le hall des poissonniers, la boulangerie et que dire du marché le dimanche matin. Aucun problème avec le stationnement et il est gratuit en plus .Courtes distances en voiture pour visiter les musées et plages du débarquement et la cathédrale de Bayeux. Nous avons passé une très belle semaine et recommandons sans hésiter l'appartement.

Perfect Home Away from Home

My sister and I spent 10 days in Port-en-Bessin, the excellently located base for all things Normandy. Astrid met us and was helpful in every way. She also runs a downstairs pop-up design shop, open on Sundays only where she serves the most delicious and filling brunch. The apartment is decorated like one you'd see in a magazine. Great charm and comfort coupled with the most modern conveniences. Steps from the harbor, shops, restaurants and the Sunday open air market. Very easy drive to all the landing beaches, Bayeux, Caen, Balleroy chateau. A bit further, but certainly doable, drives to Rouen, Giverny, Honfleur and Mt. St. Michel. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it heartily to anyone.
