The property also comprises a ground-floor bathroom, a shower room, utility, kitchen/diner, sitting room with open fire, oil fired boiler games room, conservatory and garage with table tennis. Football table. 7 Foot pool table. Outside there is ample off-road parking on the driveway, a wrap around terrace, front lawn and extensive, multi-level rear garden with seating areas, hot tub, heated pool, pool house with American-style fridge/freezer, summerhouse with seating, chiminea, unfenced pond and trampoline. Freshwinds is a magnificent property for a large family or group gathering in the Shropshire countryside. This property does not accept stag/ hen parties or similar; property is for families only. Region: A E Housman once wrote that Shropshire was “the quietest place under the sun” and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England.

Town: Market Drayton is a small market town which stands on the River Tern in north Shropshire. With the Shropshire Union Canal and the Regional Cycle Route 75 running through the town, it is an excellent base to enjoy long walks and cycle rides. This historic town has been the home of gingerbread for the last 200 years and it is said Draytonians enjoy dunking their famous biscuits in port. Market Drayton is well-known for hosting a lively weekly market, and the town centre itself has a variety of delightful 16th and 17th century half-timbered buildings, including many restaurants, pubs and tea rooms. Only 11 miles away is Whitchurch, a delightful town and internationally renowned for its clock production dating back to the 1650s. Whitchurch is also home to many splendid buildings, from medieval, Tudor and Georgian times, all dominated by St. Alkmund's Church. Nearby is Ellesmere, with beautiful meres (lakes) and a variety of National Trust mansions and gardens to visit, including, Trentham Gardens, Alton Towers, Dorothy Clive Gardens, Hodnet Hall, Attingham, Hawkstone Park, Wollerton Gardens and Tatton Park. The wonderful shops and zoo at Chester, Wroxeter Roman City, the World Heritage Site Ironbridge Gorge, with its famous museums, and the lovely medieval towns of Shrewsbury and Ludlow are also all close by.

Great home for a family stay

The house had lots for the family to do , swimming , jacuzzi , pool table, football table , tennis, air hockey , football in garden garden walk , trampoline and nice local walks. Great outside area and nearby walks House very comfortable for all the family Kitchen - good storage , cooking equipment especially ovens not great as they took forever to cook food even on the highest temperature. Upright oven at the door kept setting of the smoke detector as it was very near the oven even though we were just cooking some general food items We would stay here again
