Less than 100 metres away from local beaches, a bustling harbour which dates to the 12th century. The water is surrounded by twinkling lights, cafés, fish and chips, pubs and restaurants, including a Michelin star. There are independent shops and art galleries influenced by Damien Hirst’s ’Verity’ statue. The interesting Tunnels beaches with large natural sea pool fabulous for open sea swimming, surrounded by glorious, rugged cliffs. Also sheltered for children with buckets and spades and perfect for wave Jumping. You can leave the car as there is a lot to offer locally, water sport activities like canoeing, SUP centre, coasteering and diving. A short drive offers world-class surfing beaches Woolacombe, Croyde, Putsbourgh. A boat trip to Lundy Island, cruise the exhilarating North Devon coastline, deep sea fishing and sea life safaris to see seals, porpoises and various sea birds. Walk the coast path from Capstone to Lee, Morthoe and Woolacombe, visiting pubs along the way and get a bus return!
