Nestled off the main street in a passageway, this hidden gem offers tranquillity in a quiet location, providing the perfect escape. Offering modern living and period character, the cottage caters to all your needs. Perfect for a couples retreat or a place to seek solice and recharge. Alma's location is also perfect as it's just a short 5 minute stroll to Ramsgate town, Royal Marina and Beach.

Ramsgate, Kent: A Coastal Gem Unveiled

Nestled on the captivating shores of Kent, Ramsgate is a coastal gem that seamlessly blends maritime charm with historic allure. Known for its award-winning golden sands, the Royal Marina's bustling vibrancy, and the picturesque Royal Esplanade, Ramsgate is a seaside haven that invites you to explore its maritime heritage, vibrant streets, and scenic coastal walks. There are dog friendly beaches really close by - please check the council website for any seasonal restrictions. In close proximity - Aldi Supermarket is a 5 minute walk away, plus there is a Fish and Chip shop and Off Licence & Store accross the road. Just a 5 minute walk away is the Granville Theatre - offering a fantastic all year round range of live entertainment - including musicals, comedy nights, tribute acts and audiences with.

The traditional yet vibrant Broadstairs is just a few miles from Ramsgate. You walk or cycle there via the under cliff or the promenades and King George The V Park . Stroll along Viking Bay's sandy beach, indulge in some delicious ice cream and discover a variety of shops and eateries that showcase local and international cuisine.

For some of the best sun sets in the UK venture to Margate. Whilst their explore the Old Town, Turner Contemporary Gallery Margate and Dreamland Theme Park & Concert Venue. Margate also has a vibrant nightlife with a great selection of bars and restaurants.

Step down into a charming lounge with exposed beams, a comfy sofa, dining table for two, and a log-burning stove (logs provided Nov–Mar) for those snug evenings. Gas central heating keeps you warm year-round. Relax with a good book or enjoy your favourite shows on the TV.

Modern Country Kitchen
Beyond the lounge, a stylish kitchen awaits — fully equipped with an induction hob, oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, and washing machine. A quaint stable door opens to a private courtyard adorned with fairy lights — the perfect spot for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine.

Inviting Bedroom & Bathroom
Upstairs, a spacious bedroom offers a double bed, ample storage, and shutters for peaceful sleep. A few steps lead to the bathroom featuring a classic roll-top bath with overhead shower, basin, and WC — ideal for a relaxing soak after exploring the coast.

Fresh towels, crisp linen, toiletries, and a kitchen essentials pack are provided for your comfort.

Travelling by road: The M20 and M2 motorways provide easy links from London into Thanet.

Ramsgate train station is approx 1.5 miles away and is regularly served by Southeastern High Speed services travelling to/from London St Pancras as well trains from London Victoria. The train from London St Pancras takes 90 minutes and a little longer from Victoria, and it’s just 50 minutes from Ashford International station

National Express runs a national network of coach services. Coaches run from London Victoria to various stops in Thanet and take approximately 2 hours.

Frequent bus services: the Thanet Loop serves Margate, Cliftonville, Broadstairs, Ramsgate and Westwood Cross.


Alma Cottage warmly welcomes babies, with the option to bring your own travel cot or conveniently hire a travel cot and high chair package for £15 for up to 7 nights (subject to availability).

Compliementry Logs and Kindling are supplied between November and March.

The accommodation is accessed via a digital smart lock with a key fob.
