"MARTE Suite" is located in via guelfa 14. On the heart of San Lorenzo neighborhood where local culture meets Medici history. Also it is a lively and picturesque neighborhood, full of shops, restaurants and markets.

"MARTE Suite" can host up to four people: two in a queen-size bed in the bedroom and two in a comfortable sofa-bed in the living room.
Bathroom with large shower, wooden floor and chromotherapy lights.
Renovated with high quality materials and designed to offer maximum comfort just to LET YOU FELL AT HOME.
Fully furnished kitchen with four burners, pots, cutlery, glasses and dishes; fridge and freezer, traditional oven and microwave air conditioning, TV, washing machine, iron and board, coffè maker, free internet Wi-Fi super-fast fiber , indipendent heating, House linens (sheets & towels) , hair dryer, shampoo and soap.
From the living room you will enjoy a wonderful and relaxing VIEW of the hills around Florence (Fiesole).
As all the ancient ‘800 building of the historical center there’s no elevator, to reach the apartment there is a 60 steps stairs, but as you get up to the top you’ll forget about it.

The standard organization is for 2 people in the main room's king size bed, if you are 2 that want sleep separately (Friends, parents....) LET ME KNOW WHEN YOU BOOK, I provide extra linens and organize the sofa bed.

The location is so central that you can easily get back home any time of the day for a quick rest or a bite and go out again to visit this magnificent city.
It is also the perfect base for a day trip to Siena, Pisa, Lucca, Bologna. Even Rome, Venice and Milan are just a couple of hours away thanks to the high speed train that stops in Santa Maria Novella Train Station.

Silvia is an excellent host of a wonderful, and extremely clean apartment that is in a great location. Close to everything and so many restaurants are all just minutes away. Our favorite bakery is a few steps from the front door. A great week in Florence!

Sylvia was a fabulous host! She met us at the apartment and helped us with our bags up the stairs. She gave us many recommendations for restaurants and shopping that were all wonderful. Her apartment has everything you could imagine to ensure that you have the best experience possible. The apartment has been newly renovated. It is clean and beautiful. The location is great. It is quiet for good sleeping. I could not more highly recommend this host and her apartment. I would stay here again!

Perfect little apartment! Close to everything!

We stayed in this wonderful apartment while visiting our daughter. It is very well located and was spotless! Silvia was a very responsive host - be sure to ask for her restaurant recommendations. The beds were comfortable and we had a sweet view. I highly recommend this apartment!

The perfect place to stay!

We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay while in Florence! The apartment is perfectly located - an easy walk to the train station, the central market, and all of the beautiful sites in Florence. It is also perfectly placed among great restaurants and cafes. We enjoyed leaving the windows open at night and the street below was incredibly quiet. Silvia was the perfect host. She was available to us, met us late the evening we arrived to acquaint ourselves with the apartment upon check-in. Above and beyond our expectations. The apartment is very up to date and well-furnished for being in an older building. So charming! We would love to return and stay here again!

Great apartment that was beautiful and clean! Check in was a breeze and Silvia was so sweet and helpful. Great location with amazing restaurants and bakeries within a 1-2 min walk! I spent 22 nights in Italy and my wife and I agree that this was our favorite VRBO!

The Best Honeymoon ever

Our stay in Florence was fantastic. We didn't want to leave. Silvia helped us up with our luggage and we had the best stay ever - we didn't want to leave. Nights were quiet and dark with the shutters closed, and the view was amazing. Location was perfect. My husband wanted to stay forever. If we go back to Florence, we will stay here again!

Great place to stay

Highly recommend: Great location - less than 10 minutes from train station and easy walking distance to all major sites. Apartment was clean, modern, and well equipped. Close to a lot of good restaurants. Silvia was great, she welcomed us and gave us tips on restaurants and places to see. She frequently checked in with us to ensure everything was okay and responded quickly to our questions. I would highly recommend this place! Be prepared for the 63 steps.

Perfect Stay!

Silvia was delightful, informative and gracious. The check-in process was easy and the apartment was pristine and beautiful! The apartment is in a perfect location, we were easily able to walk everywhere and saw as much as possible in our short 3 days...way too short! The bed in the apartment was the most comfortable We have slept in since our arrival in Italy and to be able to do laundry was a blessing! We must return and will surely stay her again! Thank you Silvia for a perfect stay in beautiful Florence!!

Looked just like the pictures. Very cute apartment with plenty of space for the 4 of us.

We arrived from the train station late in the evening. Silvia was waiting patiently outside for us and welcomed us right away. The apartment was super cute. She showed us how everything worked and sat down to show us places on the map to see. She was very pleasant to talk with. We enjoyed our stay immensely and would definitely stay here again in the future.

Central and clean

Nothing new from the other reviews which is a good thing! Central location, plenty of space for two people, very clean. Air conditioning was great. One door down from a great bakery to start your day. Silvia was a great host who met us when we arrived, showed us around the apartment, gave us some suggestions and was very easy to communicate with. Highly recommended!

The Marte Suite was exactly as advertised and reviewed. Very conveniently located — Duomo, museums, Central Market are all a short walk away. Apartment was updated, spotless, and very comfortable. Silvia is a lovely and very helpful host — really appreciated her orientation to the city and she booked an early am taxi for us to the airport. At her suggestion, we enjpyed a lovely dinner at Il Vecchio (a block away) and tasting local specialties at the food stalls at the Central Market. Great gelato around the corner on Ginori. Hope to stay longer next time!

Perfect in Florence

Our family of 3 stayed at Marte suite over the Holidays, and we couldn’t be more pleased! From the very beginning, Silvia was the perfect host. She came through with all our inquiries and even made dinner reservations for us since the restaurant didn’t allow online reservations. The flat was a short walk to the train station, and offered all amenities you need. It was quiet and safe yet centrally located to the beautiful churches, historical sites, museums, restaurants, groceries, and stores that made Florence one of our favorite cities. You won’t regret staying here. Thank you, Silvia! Your flat was perfect and you were the ideal host! We can’t wait to go back!

Best Lodging in Florence

We spent 10 days enjoying Silvia's lovely flat. It is a safe, clean, quiet, air-conditioned retreat in the heart of Florence. Everything we hoped to see was in walking distance. Silvia went above and beyond to greet us upon arrival and arrange taxis for us a couple of times. She is kind, efficient, and her flat is perfect. It is spacious with a full kitchen, great shower, and washer with handy drying rack. Vecchio Bakery and SandwiChic are both very conveniently located just below the flat (on ground level). We also highly recommend Hills and Roads (for day trips to Tuscany), Grom (for gelato), Menagerie (local cafe), and L'Osteria di Giovanni (old world Italian restaurant). Thank you, Silvia!
