Hello Graham F Our villa is located in an exceptional location, overlooking the sea, and is close to the town of Ericeira, there is a pedestrian path by the sea to the town of Ericeira, it is 1,800m, the time to walk the route depends from person to person, but, it is not on hills, talking about hills gives a misleading idea

I'll explain why we ask that toilet paper not be placed in the toilets and placed in designated containers, as we've had guests who put everything in the toilets, clogging them, with all the resulting inconveniences. Regarding the TOURIST TAX, it's a tax charged by the Mafra City Council. Most European cities charge the TOURIST TAX, including London, which also charges a TOURIST TAX, as do practically all European cities. The GUIA DE RECEBIMENTO is issued by the Mafra City Council, and we are required to collect it from guests, and deliver it to the Mafra City Council.

Tivemos muito gosto em vos receber na nossa vivenda, na Ericeira e ficamos muito felizes de que tenham gostado e tenham tido umas boas e relaxantes férias. Teremos muito gosto em vos voltar a receber numa próxima visita a Portugal Os pedidos para que não coloquem os papeis dentro das sanitas, mas sim nos recipientes próprios para os mesmos, é porque existem hospedes, que descarregam todo o tipo de papéis, pensos higiénicos e não só. para dentro das sanitas, o que provoca o entupimento das sanitas, com todos os inconvenientes dai decorrente para os hospedes, com o desentupimento das sanitas. Motivo pelo qual pedimos que coloquem os papeis nos cestos preparados para receber os mesmos, evitando todos os problemas decorrrentes com a falta de cuidado de alguns hospedes

Hello Mark Jonkhof I understand that you were upset, as you booked and paid for the Villa for 6 guests (reservation HMXSFMD82M) and in the guest identification data you presented there were 8 people, plus two people, that the reservation you made, you were asked for an additional amount per guest, for night (as stated in the ad) (he didn't like it) Of course he had to pay the difference, (he didn't like it), and the MUNICIPALITY OF MAFRA charges TOURIST TAX, (he also didn't like it) which we are forced to charge from guests and then deliver to the CAMARA (it's not our fee) He didn't like it, and left a negative review (3 stars), but in this house it is very difficult for mold to appear, the house is very ventilated, and has 15cm brick walls + 10cm air cushion with insulation + another 13cm brick wall , plus plastering and external painting plus traditional plastering and stucco and internal painting, (so 40cm external wall with insulation) then it is almost impossible for mold to appear. In relation to the neighboring houses, in one lives a teacher, (the house you say abandoned) who is responsible for teaching at an official school in Ericeira, and in the other lives a couple where Mrs. is a Veterinary doctor, , sometimes, not always, there are dogs at home (I have already asked her to take care of the dogs and clean the terrace). I understand that you didn't like paying for the differences, but when you made the reservation you should have made it for 8 people and not 6. There is no reason to give a negative rating (3 stars) when it states that the entire description of the ad is correct, and when 99% of guests (who don't want to deceive us) give us (5 stars), for the cleanliness, location, 5 bathrooms, 2 suites, 2 porches, 1 terrace, spectacular view of the sea, private pool, games room, large fully equipped kitchen, check-in reception, and all other conditions that the house has), as you can see in the house reviews You are welcome to report which room in the house smells musty.
