Esta cómoda cabaña tiene 2 dormitorios y 1 baño completo y es perfecta para una escapada familiar en los hermosos Northwoods. Situado en la costa este elevada del lago Metonga, la cabina ofrece puntos de vista dominante de este lago de 2.300 acres con fácil acceso al muelle de abajo. La cabina puede alojar cómodamente a 4 adultos en los 2 dormitorios y una persona adicional puede dormir en el futón de la sala de estar. Máximo 4 adultos en total. Disfrute de las comidas en la gran mesa de picnic y disfrutar de las impresionantes puestas de sol desde el fogón espacioso con vistas al lago. La casa está a pocos pasos de la pista de recreo del estado del río Wolf y ofrece 15 hectáreas de bosques para el senderismo excelente. Un muelle grande ofrece mucho espacio para los barcos y el fondo del lago de arena en el frente es perfecto para nadar para todas las edades. Amplio estacionamiento está disponible para remolques de barcos. Cabaña hermana cerca tendrá capacidad para 5 personas adicionales.

The cabin was clean,cozy, and everything described. The view of the lake from the property was fantastic and access to the lake was as simple as walking across the road. The water was nice and the neighbors were very helpful. The peace and quiet was great. The whole experience was wonderful!

Fantastic rustic cabin

The cabin was adorable, check in was easy. The beds were comfortable and the location was great. There is a charcoal grill, stove, fridge, and microwave. Short trip into town for forgotten things.

Great get away

The cabin was just as listed. The views of the lake were stunning! We kayaked, swam and fished every day. A very enjoyable stay. The only thing I’d say is to get new mattresses - please.

Beautiful Lake View & Access

My wife, doggie and I enjoyed our time at the little lake house. Amazing views from the fire pit and great dock for boating or just hanging out. The only concern we had was the BBQ is on its last legs...literally. Overall, great value for the price.

Relaxing

Very relaxing and quiet, not the best shower but we dealt with it. Toilet has some issues with the tank filling up you have to take the cover off and press the black handle or it doesn''t fill up.

Cozy Cabin on Beautiful Lake Mentoga

Owner is trying to charge me for damage to a screen door that was there prior to me taking occupancy. Met couple next door-Dave and Carol-who stated the screen door was in same condition when they rented the cottage in 2023. Lack of instructions on how to find the cabin and where you could park once you arrived. Inside glass sliding door was very difficult to open.

This traveler is retaliating for documented damage to a screen door. His statement is completely false. He punched out the bottom of the screen door and put another hole in the door making it nonfunctional for future guests. He feels he can damage people’s property and not be held responsible for it. He was sent a very detailed map to the property and given instructions on 3 separate occasions.

Stay away..the cabin is not up to code... should not be on vrbo

The cabin size oven didn’t work Wires all over in the bathroom one on the floor by the shower covered with duck tape Cob webs on all the screens Could of literally pulled the one bulb light out of the ceiling in the bathroom The dock for the cabin was so shallow didn’t think we could use it about 1.5 -2 foot The steps going to the dock are not safe for any one to use .. I would hate to see a older couple have to use them.. you can only lock the cabin from the outside

This renter needs to be careful about their untrue, slanderous comments. The cabin and stairs are safe. You are the first person who said the oven didn't work-we will check into that. Would have been nice if you told us. This renter was clearly looking for a more modern place. The cabin is cleaned thoroughly.-there were not cob webs on all the screens. The moderate drought in the area has brought the entire lake level down-sorry, we can't control mother nature. The stairs have a railing and are safe-this renter is not familiar to the step construction and clearly is not a fit for the property. Suggest you pay a lot more to stay at a very modern place.

Pictures were deceiving.

Where to start? Vinyl flooring was coming up around the edges. Carpet was dirty and had hair on it. Electrical wiring was a joke. Had to plug the TV in with extension cord that went through the wall to the bedroom. Wires running down the walls. Bathroom - no words for that. No outside porch light. I could go on but I think you get the picture. Wish I could get a refund.

The pictures are as is for the cabin. It is cleaned thoroughly. Hmm, so this renter didn't like the electrical connection to the TV. The cabins are rustic as advertised. We offer the most economical lodging on the lake with the best views. This traveler clearly wanted more modern accommodations and should book and pay for a more expensive place. We've had many happy guests, this renter was very demanding.

Beautiful Views

The views from the hill are spectacular. The water is very clear but was only 63 degrees, so we were unable to swim. Fishing was not very good. Access is to the lake is okay -- you do have to walk down several steps and cross a not very busy road to get to the pier. As such, I would not recommend this for elderly, small children, or people with dogs that are not well behaved. We are in our 60s and were able to navigate the steps with no problem. Crandon and the grocery, liquor and bait stores are a very short drive away. The cabin is a bit spartan and dated, but had everything we needed as far as cooking. It could use some updates and TLC. The beds are comfortable. There is only one parking spot near the cabin, with additional parking about 50 yards away. Unfortunately, we were victims of some bad weather, crazy storms and high winds. My 16' boat got hammered on the pier, damaged, and eventually swamped which is no fault of the owner. We were only able to use our boat 3 out of 6.5 days as a result. Nonetheless, we had an enjoyable time. It's getting harder to find rentals that accept dogs, and thankfully Kathy still does.

We've had many families with small children, dogs, elderly people who navigate the property just fine and really enjoy the place. We are always working to improve the property (just installed a new septic system) and will continue to do so. We are the most economical property on the lake and we also take pets.

Location and lake are very nice

We are a retired couple in our 70's with 2 small dogs which we appreciate being able to bring with us. The cabin is small and is in need of some structural work. Floors are slanted so doors (bathroom) don't close properly. Sliding screen door kept coming out of it's track due to structural sagging. I'm not sure if the electrical wiring would pass inspection but everything worked. The cabin was clean but the upgrades such as linoleum, wiring, shower etc appear to be diy projects. There is very little front lawn before it drops off steeply to the road below. Probably not a good place for toddlers. The stairs leading down from the cabin to the road were somewhat difficult for people our age to navigate although there was a railing to hang on to. There is no beach to speak of although the dock is well designed but will probably need new boards fairly soon. The lake is beautiful but it's a little rocky near the dock so wading can be a little hard on the feet. It's location is close to a park, grocery store and other shopping and you have a nice view of the lake from the cabin and sunsets are beautiful. The cabin has potential but we will probably pass on staying there again.

This traveler was clearly looking for a more modern place. There are no structural issues. The property is as advertised and the best value on the lake. We are pet friendly. There is a small beach area on the southern side of the property. The dock boards are structurally fine. We are constantly working to improve the property. Hope you critique the next property you stay at with such detail when you spend many more of your dollars to stay there.

A Little smaller than expected

The area was a little cramped with 3 cabins in a row and two larger houses just behind the cabins. We had the middle cabin and it was smaller than we expected. The two bedrooms barely had room to put our suitcases on the floor. The beds were Full Beds not the Queens we are used to having. My Partner slept in one room with one pup and I slept in the other room with the other pup. Not much intimacy there and not much chance for romance. My Son and Daughter-in-law slept on the pull out couch with their 14 year old daughter on a sleeping bag on the floor. The shower is good for 5 foot tall little people, but if you are any taller or bigger, watch out. The first night we were there the sliding screen door fell off and it wasn't until morning that I was able to put it back up. There was no inside lock on the sliding door and after my partner panicked about getting attacked at night we got a message from the Owner that there was a stick in the corner of the room to wedge into the door frame to lock it from the inside. We didn't expect paradise and we certainly didn't get it. But I HAVE HAD worse experiences. All in all it was passable but not worth the price we paid all together.

We are sorry we rented to this guest. He was disgruntled after being charged for some damage to the property and tried to take it out in the review. We expected nothing less. He misrepresented his dogs as nonbarkers-was not the case. He brought more people than were approved for this cabin, which made it uncomfortable. His dogs broke the screen out of the screen door and chewed up some items in the cabin. The renter also broke some items and was charged for them.

Getting away from the rat race.

The property was great, clean cabin, great nostalgic knotty pine interiors, property owners were very accommodating they went above and beyond for us. The beds were oh so comfortable 👍we all slept like a logs.Fire pit and loons talking to the setting sun. Walk in the sand along the pier or just fall in like I did refreshing with cloths on or a swim suit. Lol. There’s a public beach with a park for young kids that’s well maintained. We went there and used aqua shoes just to be on the safe side, all in all was very very enjoyable. Great place to enjoy family and friends.

The cabin was as posted and is small but has everything you need. Kathy and her husband were super nice and available if needed. Our coffee maker wasn’t working and she brought us over another one in minutes. Would definitely go back.

Nice little cabin for the three of us.

Cabin is older and on the small side but the lake was amazing! Sandy beachfront and nice sunset views. The online pictures were a little deceiving in that there is actually a road between the cabin and waterfront. With a dog, we had to be careful of traffic.

Simple yet all you need!

Great relaxing getaway for my husband's birthday. Enjoyed the fire pit, grill, and the convenience of the onsite boat dock and launch nearby. Only con would be the mattresses and water pressure not great. Was perfect for our extended weekend. Renting all 3 cabins with other couples would be a fun trip as well. Overall, we'd for sure return!

I stayed at the cabin with my daughters for the week! It served it’s purpose as a nice getaway! The mattress need to be replaced and depending on how tall you are, you have to duck down while showering! Aside from that everything was lovely!
