The House: This house has stunning sea views from the front, while the other side provides gorgeous views of Croagh Patrick. Located between Westport ( https://www.destinationwestport.com/) & Louisburgh, in the little village Lecanvey, this is a great location for discovering Mayo and down into Connemara. A short stroll from the house will begin you down to Lecanvey pier and a small hidden little beach – perfect for an early morning swim.

There are plenty of adventures to enjoy in this region. Take on the challenge of the mighty Croagh Patrick, try some Stand Up Paddle Boarding at Old Head beach or take to the waves with a surf at Carrowniskey beach with Surf Mayo. And after all that effort, why not stop for a quick drink in Stauntons Pub (https://stauntonspub.com/) which is just a 2 min walk from the house.

Looking to for a relaxing break away? Head to the beautiful market village of Louisburgh for stroll around – grab a book at Books at One & enjoy some great food at Tia. There is a lovely ambience in the great town of Westport full of interesting shops and numerous eateries. Head to Connemara down the stunning Doolough Valley and enjoy a boat trip on Killary Fjord. Or just sit back on the front lawn, enjoy the views and take a step back from it all!

Inside: This house has plenty of space for the whole family and lots of natural light. You walk in from the back to a great sized utility room with space for jackets & boots. From here you can head in large open plan kitchen, dining and living space. The country style kitchen has everything you could need to cook up a feast for the whole family. The dining area is flooded with natural light with double doors for that outdoor dining feeling. The large sitting area has comfy leather couches for you to enjoy a glass of wine in front of the open fire or to cosy up in front of the TV.

Also downstairs you will find another sitting room with TV and open fire & 2 bedrooms – a double & twin. There is a family bathroom with shower in the bath. Upstairs there is a large landing area with 2 large double bedrooms both en-suite.

Lovely house in a great location

Great place to stay with plenty of space for family, great kitchen and living space, and wonderful sea views. Right next to Stauntons pub, very close to beaches and amenities. We loved being in Teach Ban and hope to return again soon.

very roomy property with wonderful views from both front and rear of property. Large garden area. Lounge has a triple aspect making it bright and airy. Good sized well equipped kitchen.Large comfortable beds in all bedrooms. Plenty of parking space. Very quiet and peaceful setting

Wonderful place

We had a wonderful time at Teach Ban. The house is so spacious, well and uniquely equipped that we didn‘t miss anything at all. The kitchen had more items than we could have asked for. The beds were grand and cosy. It is situated in the middle between Westport and Louisburgh. - Perfect for trips around Clew Bay like Achill Island, Clare Island or Belmullet. Staunton’s Pub right next to it is an adorable place for a lovely drink and chat in the evening. So we spent a most joyful and comfortable time in this house. When we had a question Austin and his lovely wife came for help at once. Thank you for everything!

Only one comment. We arrived to a beeping smoke alarm. We changed the battery. Still beeping. Noted that the smoke alarm was due to be replaced in September 2015. Perhaps that is the problem? We sacrificed safety for sleep.

Great location and space for 8 adults. Suggest more towels be provided. They were provided when requested.
