Casa de huéspedes en propiedad frente al lago de propietarios

Esta es nuestra casa de huéspedes. Está muy bien equipada con muebles de madera, baldosas y pisos de madera y electrodomésticos de calidad profesional. El nivel inferior tiene una sala de estar / comedor abierta con una cocina totalmente equipada. Gran mesa de comedor. Puertas de patio con vista al lago. Hay un baño completo abajo. Un dormitorio con una cama queen y una cama matrimonial. Arriba hay una cama queen con sala de estar y un pequeño dormitorio con cama queen. El baño es solo ducha / inodoro.

Esta casa se encuentra en casa del propietario con una vista espectacular de las islas del apóstol a partir de un banco de alta. Acceder a la gran muelle permanente por escalera (unos 125) o en tranvía eléctrico al extremo de la orilla del muelle. Hay una escalera de baño si es que quiere aventurarse en el frío, las aguas claras del lago Superior. Muchos invitados lo hacen y describen la experiencia como "espiritual".

El muelle se encuentra en el extremo sur de Hidden Beach, que es accesible sólo a los residentes del desarrollo local. La mayoría de las veces tendrás la playa para ti solo. Disfrute viendo la pesca y los veleros dirigiéndose hacia los fondeos en la isla de Stockton. Las águilas anidan y se posan en los altos pinos a lo largo de la orilla.

Everything was great. Check-in was smooth with Larry giving us an overview of how everything works. Kitchen was was well appointed (bring your own spices)Knives could use some sharpening. (I'm fussy) The beach was beautiful, the kids loved doing the steps to get their steps in. I used the lift on the way back up.

The guest house was clean, comfortable and had all the amenities we needed, including s’mores sticks, plentiful Tupperware and nice pots and pans. Bring spices and cooking oils in addition to your regular groceries as the store on the island is very small and limited. We really enjoyed walking down the beach, swimming in the water, hanging out on the dock and watching the sunset. The tram to the beach was very convenient and would be excellent for older people and babies who can’t do the 125 stairs. Larry, the property owner, was friendly and helpful but not invasive at all. Highly recommended!

This house is comfortable in warm or cool weather. We enjoyed the care taken to make the inside as well as the gardens attractive.

Family Week at Madeline Island

Overall great time at Larry's property. The place was well stocked and the toddler bed was a great surprise. The lift down to the lake was great to get everyone down. The beach was great, the kids swam almost every day. He provided fire wood which was very nice. Used the grill for meals l. Plenty of space for our group of 7, three generations.

Great island stay

We really enjoyed our stay on Madeline island! The house was great! We enjoyed time on the beach and were glad for the lift up the hill between the beach and the house. The owners were friendly and helpful. The furniture was clean and comfortable. The appliances all worked well. Things to note: bring your own spices/seasonings. Also, the property is about 20 minutes from the ferry landing (some of which is over a well maintained dirt road). We enjoyed the state and county park as well as local boat tours and rentals.

Family Vacation

We had a great time at Larry and Marge’s vacation house. We brought our boat and the dock was perfect. The trolley made it easy to get down to the beach. It was a beautiful location!

Adventure North

We had an amazing time here. The island has so much to do that even the teenager was impressed, and of course you can’t go wrong spending time at the lake. The tram made it so easy to transport everything to the dock and beachfront. The property was great, very comfortable and clean, with everything we needed for our stay. The hosts were so welcoming and nice, even answering all of my curious kiddos questions. If you are thinking about adventuring north to explore Lake Superior, I highly recommend staying at the guesthouse.

Awesome stay on Madeline Island!

Thank you, Shelby, Larry & Marge for a GREAT week on Madeline Island! We had 3 adults and 3 kids (16, 12, 10) and the house was just awesome. Plenty of space for all of us, w/comfy places to sleep and hang out. We LOVED the beach and dock. There was no one else to be seen the entire time except for distance sailboats. We didn't use the canoe or kayak at the house, but we did borrow the canoe at the town park which was a great perk we didn't expect. We also didn't use the grill, patio, or fire ring because the biting bugs happened to be extra hungry when we were there, but I'm sure lots of guests love hanging out there after adventurous days. The natural landscaping on the property is beautiful and it was always fun to return to Shelby's enthusiastic greetings. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, clean, unique stay on Madeline Island - 5+ stars!

Delightful

What a delightful guest house right on the shore of Lake Superior! There was plenty of room for three couples (though the small bedroom really is small). There is ample dining space with tables for six in both the house and on the patio. Bring lots of bug spray! Due to county regulations, the kitchen isn’t as well stocked with condiments and spices as we’re used to, so be sure to bring your own. The trolley down to the quiet beach and dock enabled my husband who has limited mobility to join us as we enjoyed canoe rides, exhilarating dips in the water (for some of us) and breath-taking evening sunsets. Larry and Marge are wonderful hosts, right there on the property when needed but never intrusive of our privacy. Would love to come back and highly recommend.

Wonderful place to stay. Beautiful beach to explore. Close to Town Park and State Park. Accommodations were beautiful. We were very happy and comfortable. Larry and Marge are wonderful hosts. Flowers on the property were gorgeous. Would love to come back again.

Amazing house with easy beach access

A beautiful home with plenty of space and all the necessary amenities. The location is remote from town for complete quiet listening to the birds. There was not a day that my teens and I did not go down to the beach via the steps or tram and enjoy the quiet dock and walking up the beach. It was the perfect place to go instead of out in the car or after a bike ride or hike to cool down and relax. The kitchen was excellent with beautiful wood sourced from the site of the house. My teens noted that this is definitely a house we should return to again. Larry was an excellent host. He was very flexible with arrival given some traffic issues along the way. He was great to talk to about the wildlife, the area, the weather patterns, etc. yet he was very respectful of our privacy and never intrusive. He was available by a quick text with any needs and even texted us to warn us of a coming storm.

The property was perfect for fall family getaway. Larry was very welcoming and showed us the property when we arrived. We especially enjoyed the electric tram to the dock. enjoyed watching the sunsets and walking along the beach.

PERFECT GETAWAY

Quiet location in the woods, steps away from Lake Superior. Great area for biking, hiking, kayaking, shopping etc. Mind the ferry schedule for off Islan plans. Owners were very kind, friendly, and helpful. Their little dog Shelby came and checked on us daily.

Perfect, again

A quiet but astonishingly beautiful getaway. The house is comfortable, well equipped, and full of natural light. We find we spend one happy day after another hanging out on the dock with a book, jumping in and out of the clear and bracing water of Lake Superior, and watching birds and sailboats go by.

Truly Great Escape

Beautiful home, as described. We had a great time. Larry was 100% responsive. We enjoyed the lake and kayaking. We had 1 yo baby with us, Larry set us up with all needed supplies for the baby, so we didn't regret keeping all our helpful baby equipment at home. North end of an island provided us with the seclusion we were looking for.
