Family Goldsithney stay.

Great location, close to Marazion.Two friendly pubs nearby, especially The Crown Inn. Lovely little cottage clean and homely. Finest Retreats very efficient when we contacted them re the main door lock, sorted by owner the same day, Thankyou.

Lovely Cottage in a Cute Community

Nicely appointed cottage. Spacious. Comfortable. Nice quiet location. Pretty gardens. Fabulous community! Issues with cleanliness upon our arrival - long white pet hairs on carpet in lounge, dirty dishes and cutlery in kitchen, sticky mess on dining table, coffee rings on coasters in lounge, etc. We are not from the UK and it took us quite some time to figure out how to lock the cottage door - no instructions were provided. During our stay in the UK, I rang the property manager 4 times and no one answers calls even during business hours! Leave a message and (perhaps) someone will get back to you. Communication with property manager was dreadfully disorganised and inconsistent. We would stay again but not booking through current property manager,

Kitchen,Beds , bathroom, showers all ok Parking is a bit of an issue , dust seems to be brushed Under the sofas rather than collected, outside furniture is very shabby the garden area could look so much presentable tho be it small

Cornish break part 2

Lovely cottage in a quiet location yet close to the 2 pubs and tea rooms in the village if required. Also close to all other holiday requirements. Clean and comfortable and well equipped. We would definitely stay again. Only issue was the need for a mirror close to a socket for hair drying 😊

Week escape from the hustle and bustle.

Set in a quiet location off the main street of the Village of Goldsithney. 2 friendly pubs within walking distance. Bus route into Marazion, Penzance if you want to leave your car at home. Walkable to Perranruthnoe Beach, where there is a lovely cafe over looking the beach. Accommodation was homely had everything you needed. Lovely views from upstairs.

Excellent Place to stay

The cottage was lovely, and nicely furnished. Just a little note, I think as the cottage is obviously very old, there is a musty smell in the kitchen. However this really does not detract from the beautiful cottage. The cottage probably could have been a bit cleaner, And didn't really smell fresh when we walked in, the blinds were very dusty.

Nice cottage

Nice cottage with comfortable beds but beware if you are tall. There are a couple of low doorways and the light fitting over the table is low. My husband bumped his head on it several times. Also the details state off road parking for a small car. This is not an exaggeration. We have a Ford Puma which only just fitted on with a lot of manoeuvring otherwise a really pleasant cottage and a nice stay.

Great location

Quiet property which we liked, in a great location. Parking is definitely only for 1 car, second car we parked close by on the road. Garden is small but adequate however garden furniture is tired. Beds were only doubles but comfy & the view from the rear bedroom was lovely. As soon as we arrived we noticed the downstairs smelt very musty & also the kitchen cupboards were the same. We kept the windows open to try to air the cottage but this did not help when going out during the day. Kitchen appliances & utensils were adequate but no sauces were present so bring your own. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

A great find

Myself, my partner and 2 children (under 2) stayed here for 1 week, we found the property to be excellent for space for our family. The garden space outside was very welcome for when young children needed to burn off steam. The property it self was very clean and well organized. The bedrooms upstairs were very spacious for small families. The kitchen was beautiful and very well maintained often we have found that kitchens are somewhat impractical with missing utensils etc. but this kitchen had everything - really good! Local amenities are also good, we would recommend the Trevelyan pub - and make sure you visit the Teacups Cafe, wow - food was stunning! Overall we enjoyed our stay here and would look to stay again. The main improvement required, would be a handrail on the entrance staircase. With 2 young children, we did struggle getting down the stairs whilst carrying our children and opening the bottom gate. I would say this is definitely needed. Although I have mentioned the accommodation was very clean, unfortunately we found that every time our young children crawled on the floor, they would get a smear of 'black' on their knees or clothes. I can forgive most of this as the rest of the accommodation in carpeted areas was very clean, but just a bit disappointing that the floors were a little dirty. With small children, we also would have welcome a bath in the property, but I understand this isn't a priority for all visitors. Lastly, the amount of actions required by the visitors upon leaving, there seemed to be quite a lot of 'To Do's' prior to leaving and it did seem a little daunting. We've stayed at Goldsithney for the past 7 years and haven't had the extent of actions to do in other properties as we did here. This wasn't a huge problem, but something we noted whilst staying there.

I am glad you had such a lovely stay and were able to enjoy your time relaxing in the garden whilst your children blew off steam as well as exploring the nearby amenities such as enjoying fantastic food at the Teacups Café. This property doesn't have a bath as you can see from the property description so if this is something that is important to you it is worth enquiring before your stay. Charmant, vrij prijzig huis op goede locatie, echter minder geschikt voor lange mensen.

Goede uitvalsbasis voor verschillende uitstappen. Huis was schoon en compleet. Huis is charmant met verschillende nisjes en kamertjes. Huis heeft een leuke tuin met verschillende zitjes Het is een vochtig huis. Het huis, met name de bedden, is minder geschikt voor mensen langer dan 1,80m. Bedden zijn erg smal, 1.40m. Slaapkamers zijn niet ruim en verouderd qua inrichting. Badkamer beneden heeft een zeer klein fonteintje wat zeer laag hangt.

Lovely comfortable cottage in great location for driving to lots of areas of South Cornwall

Lovely comfortable cottage in great location for driving to lots of areas of South Cornwall. You can walk into Marazion via a footpath accessed just after the traffic calming before you exit the village in direction of Marazion. Village shop only short walk has good supply of stock and two pubs in village but check if serving food and what times if you’re heading there for that reason. Also fairly frequent bus runs to Marazion and further.
