Nuestro hermoso semi-lago frente "LakeHouse" [1100 pies cuadrados] se ha completado renovado y cómodamente tiene capacidad para 6 adultos. Cuenta con: 2 dormitorios en la planta principal [1 rey, 1 reina], un loft [1 reina], 2 3/4 baños, una cocina completa [nevera, estufa, lavavajillas, microondas, barra de comer], un café esquina con Fregadero de la barra y mini-refrigerador, lavadora / secadora, enfriador de agua [las recargas de la botella están disponibles en el almacén del pueblo menos de 5 minutos lejos], y Wi-fi. Disfrute de café por la mañana en la soleada terraza cubierta y bebidas por la noche en la cubierta delantera mientras observa el sol bajar sobre el lago. Propano barbacoa disponible. Está totalmente amueblado incluyendo ropa de cama y toallas de baño. Por favor, traiga sus propias toallas de playa.

Beautiful lakehouse

The property was beautiful with lots of places to hang out. The house was super clean and very comfortable. The rocky beach was gorgeous and we had amazing sunsets!

The 'LakeHouse' is the perfect getaway for family and friends. When we arrived the checkin process was easy, the house was super clean and we had an amazing view of the lake. The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with extra supplies and the beds were very comfortable. Access to the lake is just steps away along with a short drive to pick up groceries. Our annual friends getaway was loads of fun and we would definitely go back. Bev and Doug are wonderful hosts!

Relaxing Lake Vacation

We have stayed in both the top and bottom sections of this property, and both are fantastic. Bev is great with communicating if you need to get a hold of her, the property is clean and the listing is accurate. the Lake House

Lovely property just as advertised on the website. Comfy and cozy. Only complaint is that there are no dressers to put your clothing if you are staying in the loft. Would definitely book there again if we were in the area.

Phenomenal holiday!

Stay was amazing! Owners were outstanding, suit has everything you need and more. The kitchen has all the basics and more making it just like home. The front deck has a great view and is comfortable for morning and evening coffee. Back deck is great for drying towels and life jackets. Beach and dock with buoy worked perfectly for us to bring our boat and surf all week! Look forward to coming again.

Beautiful stay and view! Only downside, there are 3 separate floors rented at the same time. If the owner is in town and using one of the floors, they will question you and then question your sincerity. Other than that, it was beautiful l!

A little clarity: there are only two independent suites; each suite has 2 floors. Speaking of sincerity we were told 4 guests would be staying, there ended up being 6. We were not notified until after we asked. As the owner we will ask what ever question we feel necessary.

Beautiful newly renovated unit

We spent two weeks at The Lake House and had a wonderful time. The view from the front deck is second to none. The unit came supplied with many condiments, including coffee pods to get you started on the first day of your stay. As a family of six adults, there was plenty of room. We would definitely recommend The Lake House for your Shuswap vacation!

Close to perfect

We really enjoyed our stay! The location and amenities were pretty much exactly what we wanted for a lake house experience. The host and house were perfect. I would recommend to anyone with these caveats: The road is right there and quite busy, I couldn’t quite relax with small kids around. There is other people in the house again I couldn’t quite relax worrying the kids were being too loud. This is more of a “me” problem and I knew that’s how it would be going in. Everyone in the family enjoyed their stay, Thanks for the memories!

Amazing Spot @ the Shushwap

An absolutely amazing stay at an absolutely amazing property. Unit was spotless, is laid out exceptionally well, and was well stocked with not just the basics (plates, glasses, etc), but had plenty of the little extras like spices, baggies, foil, oil, and a fantastic bbq. Bev was great to deal with and we had zero issues with anything. The outside temps were in the mid to high 30’s, but the AC kept the home nice & cool. The dock & buoy for the boat were great, and location truly cannot be beat. Only reason I would not rate this property 12 out of 10 would be due to the road - it’s not awful, but it’s there. We will return, no doubt about it!

Disappointed

The property is truly stunning and well stocked however we were not told that the owners would be onsite until the week of our vacation. The reason we booked on VRBO is because they advertise no owners on site and this was not the case. We couldn’t have even cancelled and got a refund if we choose. There was a bear in the area that they did not mention to us which is a huge safety concern and was even visited by the bear one night. No where does it state online or in their house rules you can’t have day or night guest and one of the owners made my guests feel uncomfortable. We respected all the rules and still felt very uncomfortable and unwelcomed. We also somehow ended up with a cricket in the ceiling that when I said I couldn’t imagine how it got in their she implied it was our fault. It was not we kept the doors closed. The cricket sang for 4 nights and kept us up for hours in the night. Which granted wasn’t their fault. We decided to leave one day early because it was uncomfortable. The neighbours are very kind people. Very disappointing since this was our summer holiday. You need to state more clearly if you don’t want guests like us so we don’t book. Again we did follow all rules and were respectful.

Hi Meghan, we always appreciate hearing what we can do to make our guests stay more enjoyable. On the two or three occasions we spoke you went on about how lovely a time you were having so your on-line comments are a significant departure from our last in-person communication. If I may, let me address the points you bring up. Let’s be clear, VBRO is a marketing company that sells connections between home owners and strangers. If you had taken the time to read our descriptions you would have seen that we have two units and not a single residence that you seemed to expect from watching their marketing advertisements. Each and every property is a unique experience so a little research can go a long way to avoiding misunderstanding and disappointment. The bear – you were informed when we were informed. Bears are not common but always possible. It may not be immediately obvious but there is a lot of wildlife in the neighbourhood and that’s just the way it is, it helps to remember we’re in their home. When we keep the gates closed, we haven’t had any issues (except for racoons). Day or night guests are welcome but 13 is a little much as we don’t have the parking for that level of activity as you well experienced. We clearly state that there are just 2 spaces. Even loading and unloading can be a challenge as you experienced. Cricket – it must have died or moved on as the next night, the next set of guests never heard it. That was very unfortunate and I apologize for that inconvenience. Keeping the doors closed, even during the comings and goings during the day, is important. I’m not sure what you mean by ‘guests like us’ and that would be hard to determine without meeting you; but clearly, we’re a mismatch so I wish you all the success in future holiday planning.

Spacious, well equipped home with Great lake access!

Helpful, beautiful, close to amenities! We were looking forward to our stay but we really weren’t sure what to expect. We had questions due to the BC fires and The property owner,Bev, was quick to respond with local details. On our way, Covid protocols had changed and she updated us so we could be prepared. It is a lake front community and there are boat and seadoo rentals close by, a grocery store, liquor store, gas station, restaurants, ice cream shack and trail heads all a short jaunt away. Not to mention wineries within 15 minutes to tour and sample. The Lake house has a great view over looking the lake, is very modern, rustic and clean! There is a wonderful dock to make use of which we did a lot. We had my wife and I, our three kids and my sons girlfriend all aged between 19 and 14. There was plenty to do for all. And all of us look forward to a future stay at the Lakehouse! Thanks again Bev!

Nice place with a view of the lake

We enjoyed our stay at "Lakehouse" in Blind Bay. It was attractive and quite comfortable for 6 guests. An issue with the water heater was resolved quickly. Reasonably priced for a place just across the road from the lake.

Lovely Lake House

We had a great vacation in the Shuswap! The Lake House was perfect accommodation! It was a beautiful, clean rental. The beds were especially comfortable and everything we needed for our stay was readily available. We'd definitely go back next time we're in beautiful BC.

The Lakehouse is a beautiful and clean well stocked house and perfect for a getaway vacation.

We had a wonderful couple of days staying in this beautiful area. We came up to see the World Famous Adams River Sockeye Run. The accommodation made it extra special. Highly recommended!!

We are a family oriented couple who have decided to share our recently renovated dual suite lake house. When we were introduced to Blind Bay we fell in love with it - so sunny, beautiful scenery and wonderful, friendly people. We love spending time here each season of the year with our growing family and look forward to you and yours to share in this lovely location. We are on site at various times throughout the summer months.

We spent several years looking for the right place to vacation and we believe we have found it at Blind Bay on the Shuswap. The weather is wonderful, the view is fabulous and the people are oh so friendly!

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Each suite is very unique and separate from each other [entrances are on the opposite side of the building].
Renting our entire place is great when relatives or two families want to vacation together but enjoy their own space at the end of the day. Back door from Sailing Suite allows for quick entrance to the LakeHouse.
