Whiteface Lodge during Ironman

We really enjoyed our stay at the Whiteface Lodge at the end of July. We had never been to this part of New York and was not sure what to expect....but how pleasantly surprised to find the resort was terrific for our family and the town was a gem too. We were looking for a bigger lodging option, as we are a family of 6, and we came across this unit on VRBO offered by Tim DiLeo with Last Hoorah. He was very easy to book with and we appreciated what we found with him. We enjoyed it so much we are already considering another trip:) The amenities here were perfect for a family—so much to do (rain or shine). The resort was really great with the shuttle into town and especially on the day of the Ironman race. It made for an easy time of heading to the finish line to cheer on the competitors. Our only negative experiences to comment on was the washer/dryer combo in the unit was a bit of a pain (although we very much appreciated even having the availability of one) and our experiences in the restaurants were a little on the mediocre side—mainly in terms of slow service. That will not deter us from coming again. We look forward to another trip back to Lake Placid and will definitely be staying at the Whiteface Lodge.

The drive upon arrival to the cookies waiting in your room to the endless amenities that are guaranteed to meet the needs of the entire family. Love, Love, Love the Whiteface Lodge

My family and I cannot get enough of the Whiteface Lodge. We fell in love with it when it first opened and have been going there ever since. It is the perfect place for kids. A lot for them to do. If you are looking for a peaceful, serene place to stay...this is it!!! We've gone through Tim DeLeo several times to find rentals. I can't say enough about him and Last Hoorah!! Whiteface Lodge - perfect for our family!

We have been to the lodge twice now, and each time was wonderful! Tim was very helpful assisting us with our stay and everything went smoothly. We loved the indoor/outdoor pool, skating rink, spa, movie theatre, and games room. It is one of my kids' favorite places in the world! Can't wait to return!

Awesome!

Been coming here for over 10 years and it just keeps getting better. Came this time for end of season skiing during for Spring Break, wow! Lots of activities for kids, swimming, ice skating, game room and movie theatre. Turndown service with cookies, early morning and late afternoon coffee keeps adults happy. Very well maintained property, looks like brand new, attention to detail in furnishing is remarkable. Great breakfast buffet, and nice relaxing bar! Lake Placid is a gem, phenomenal Cross Country Skiing at Mt Van Hoevenberg, great downhill, awesome back country skiing. Staying at the Whiteface Lodge lets one take advantage of nature's playground, while coming back to a civilized relaxing environment!

Perfect winter Retreat at the Whiteface Lodge!

Yet another great winter trip at the Whiteface Lodge! We never run out of things to do and just keep coming back - There is no need to leave the hotel when we have everything we need right there from the breakfast at Kanu in the morning to the live band at night, to the Spa, Pools, fitness center, ice skating, the movie theatre, the Game room and the Ice Cream Parlor....we love all of it and have a blast every time. Thank you Tim DiLeo for making the booking process so easy every time. You are a pleasure to work with!

The Whiteface Lodge is beautiful!

The Whiteface Lodge was a great place to spend Thanksgiving week! There was so much to do. The kids loved swimming in the pool, skating and playing hockey on the ice rink, playing in the game room, and watching holiday movies in the theatre. We enjoyed luxurious accomodations and great meals throughout the week. We are definitely doing this again next year!!!

A perfect mountain getaway for the family!

The Whiteface Lodge exceeded all of our expectations for our family getaway. Every detail of the property is top-notch, with a very charming and well executed Adirondack style throughout. Our beautiful 2 story, 2 bedroom suite had more than enough room for a family of 4 and served as an ideal resting spot from the days activities. Our girls (ages 7 & 9) loved the indoor/outdoor pool & hot tubs so much that we went swimming twice a day. The game room complete with bowling alley was also a lot of fun for us to play together. The movie theater directly next door to the game room played 3 movies each day for free (G and PG rated), along with free popcorn! The girls also loved the sundae shop just outside the theater (FYI - 1 of their sundaes was enough for the four of us). The property also had daily educational events planned for the kids. We really enjoyed the visit from a local animal rescue that gave an up close presentation on birds of prey with live animals for us to view! There was also a beautiful and grand restaurant, a cozy pub area with a renowned mixologist, and a skating rink with hot cocoa and smores at night. We can't say enough great things about this place. You have to come and experience it for yourself!

Best luxury accommodation in Lake Placid!

Had a fantastic stay in this gorgeous lodge. The two level, two bedroom unit was just perfect for my wife and two teenage boys. This place really is special and well wort the price, which through Tim's help was a lot more affordable than expected. If you are considering a visit to Lake Placid I can't recommend this option highly enough! And I really look forward to working with Tim in the future.

Because it's Awesome! If you are looking for more than just a room to lie your head down, this property has all the amenities to pamper you and your family. You can fill your entire day with everything from swimming in the pools and hot tubs to playing in the game room, watching a movie in the theater, to treating yourself to a spa treatment or taking a quick trip down to the guest only Canoe "Beach" Club. I love bringing my family here, but I also like treating my friends. The property is great for couples and large groups too. We love getting together here and each time we do it is a very special experience.
