Somos un alquiler de lujo con todas las comodidades y detalles diseñados para que nuestra escapada se sienta como en casa. We too had a great stay! The house is beautifully decorated, immaculate, uncluttered and comfortable. It is perfectly set up for winter weather and skiing, with an easy garage entry and space for gear downstairs. The kitchen, bedrooms and family room are also all so well thought out and inviting. My sons loved the game room. John was easily reachable by phone and text and made sure we had everything we needed for an enjoyable few days, including activity, dining and general area recommendations.

Amazing, very comfortable home for a weekend stay (or longer) -- we had 6 adults and never felt cramped! Perfect location close to town, and John is the consummate host, from communication at the start all the way through, plus he and his wife have compiled an AMAZING list of Things to do for every season in Lake Placid. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

House was beautiful and very clean. Great location to with a very short walk into town but with the quietness you want when staying in Lake Placid. Host is great and very communicative. Had great outdoors, hike recommendations as well as restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.

This was the first time in five years of visiting Lake Placid that we rented someone’s home. We won the lottery with this gorgeous house with its spacious rooms, luxury fixtures, fully stocked kitchen, laundry room, game room, vaulted ceilings, clean beds, linens, furniture and perfect location. John welcomed us by phone and was true to his word that he would be a text away. He offered detailed advice about outdoor activities, restaurants, coffee shops, and grocery stores. The list he had been building for years went to great use! We hope to return in the coming years!

Great Access to Lake Placid

The property was perfect for our family of 4 adults and 2 children. It was impeccably clean, well put together and decorated, and came with everything we needed for the week, including cookies!! The host provided helpful tips not only for use of the property, but with great suggestions for what to do and see in Lake Placid and surrounding areas as well as good restaurants! We were very pleased!

We had a wonderful stay at John and Heather’s Grand Getaway! It was so comfortable, everything you could need was carefully thought out and provided. Everything from booking to checking out was seamless! John contacted me right away after booking, they provided so much information about the location, absolutely impressed with their hospitality!

Awesome home in Lake Placid

This house is well located, easy to access downtown. The host is awesome, called me as soon as I booked. He provided lots of details on restaurants, hikes, things to do. Was super helpful during my stay. I would highly recommend this property. Probably one of the best hosts I've ever had for a VRBO rental.

Amazing house, great location, and incredible communication with the owner. Perfect environment for kids and adults. The house had EVERYTHING we needed (great kitchen, rooms, living room, game room, laundry, and close to resturants, etc). We thought it was awesome and the owner was the best! Fabulous stay

Beautifully furnished and wonderfully equipped home away from home. Incredibly clean with very comfortable beds and very helpful and communicative owner. Would definitely look to book again in the future. Great location as well. No negatives whatsoever. A privilege to stay in.

Best Lake Placid VRBO

We decided to go away for Christmas this year and stayed at this lovely home! I was hesitant to be away for Christmas day, but found John’s home to be the perfect “home away from home” for our family! Great location, immaculate unit, and it had everything from a stocked kitchen to cozy bedrooms to make our stay perfect! My family will always remember this as one of our favorite Christmas experiences. We had fun iceskating, cross country skiing and downhill at Whiteface. We can’t wait to return!!!

Beautiful House - Good Location

We had an excellent experience at this house! The house was well-maintained, providing a clean and comfortable place throughout our stay. Wonderful visit to Lake Placid Getaway

John & Heather’s home was lovely. Photos don’t do it justice. Immaculate, well stocked and close to town! So nice to enjoy the fireplace and take in the beautiful views from the front porch. Hope to return soon!

Perfect peaceful and active getaway

The property is just as advertised - spacious , clean , perfectly decorated with the mountain vibe , everything you ever needed available. Communication with the owner wonderful . We can’t to visit again - this location is peaceful and very close to all of the fun activities! Kayaking , bobsledding , coaster ride , boating , hiking , golfing , shopping , dining ..it has it all ! Thank you RUDICKs !

wonderful month long stay!!

my husband & i stayed in this wonderful property for 1 month. john was an amazing host, even researched a vegan restaurant for us! the home was exactly as pictured, fabulously quiet neighborhood, walking distance to Main St. easy drive to all the tourist attractions. front porch was heavenly! house had absolutely everything that we needed for the entire month!!

After too many trips we realized it was time to buy our first Getaway in 2004 to share our home and experiences in Lake Placid with renters looking for a similar Getaway. After over 100 renters and 100 percent 5 star reviews we have found that our guests have just as much excitement for the town as us and enjoy exploring, learning about the area from insiders and appreciate the little things that make for a great trip.

Our other property was perfect! This property is amazing and grand. Not too big, just open and relaxing. This home offers so much room for entertaining. The extra garage spaces and large room off the garage is very accommodating for all the gear and service we do on our skis, bikes, etc.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Privacy while still in town. We are 5 minutes walking distance to ANYTHING in Lake Placid, but our large lot, trees and no street lights provide supreme peace when sleeping.
