Luxury Lodge near Bosham with private hot tub.

Fern Cottage is a beautifully appointed luxury three bed cottage (two bedrooms plus alcove bed) for up to 6 guests. With beautifully styled interiors, it sits on the edge of a wildlife meadow in the heart of rural Sussex. Set in grounds of nearly 100 acres with woodland, you can enjoy the full benefits of their rural landscape, with birdsong and stunning sunsets that can be viewed from your decked outside terrace or private hot tub. Other luxury accommodation available on site if your dates are unavailable, please click our host profile to view our other listings.

A unique three bed, dog friendly property with a great outdoor space offering; outdoor festoon lighting, charcoal BBQ grill/fire pit, comfy outdoor sofas, swing seat and private hot tub. Luxurious bedding, linen and towels provided for each unique bedroom. Board games and cosy blankets in front of the log burner for winter nights. Free WIFI and Smart TV with netflix ensures there's entertainment for everyone. Large, well appointed kitchen with American style fridge/freezer, induction hob and oven and dishwasher. Open plan kitchen / dining / living area with large dining table and feature pendant lights. Comfy leather sofas to settle in to for long conversations by the wood fired burner. Washing machine, airer and iron provided for all eventualities. Dogs are welcome subject to approval by the owners and adherence to terms, 2 dog maximum per booking only. Garden is fully enclosed.

Upstairs draped Master bedroom suite featuring zip and link Superking bed (option as 2 singles), walk in shower and toilet with his and hers basins. Views over the wildlife meadow from your bed, private balcony with seating.
Downstairs bedroom with King bed, wardrobe and dressing table and french doors with garden views.
Alcove double bed featuring hand painted starry night sky above the bed, wooden framed entrance and sumptuous curtain drapes for privacy.
Living area with 2 sofas and chair and log burner.

Our properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 20 guests, 26 in summer. Lucky's Stable is a three bedroomed property with a great outdoor space offering an outdoor kitchen complete with brick chimneyed fireplace/barbeque, comfy outdoor sofas and lavender filled planters. Silhouette's Stable is a two bedroomed property with hot tub and has everything you need for a great holiday. We may also provide z beds for further flexibility for young children, please contact us when booking if you require these. Meadow Hide is a beautiful 'eco' lodge on the edge of our wildlife meadow, the perfect bird and wildlife watching spot. Sleeps 4 with private hot tub.

A wonderful stay

Everything was perfect - what a beautiful place to stay! We have been meaning to book for some time and were not disappointed! So much thought has gone into everything for the lodges - we loved it. The only problem for us was the wifi but we spoke to the lovely owners and they are already reviewing this so looking forward to our next stay at Fern Lodge!

A great base for a family holiday

We stayed with our two young children and dog, and everyone had a lovely time. There are lots of things to do within a shirt drive, and the games cupboard provided alot of entertainment

Excellent lodge, wonderful location

Firstly the website was one of the best, everything you needed to know, links to places to eat and their menus, what to see and do and a good selection of pictures etc of the lodges, well done to web designers. Our stay was great, the lodge was well equipped, clean and luxurious. A very good lodge, in a fab place, with everything we needed. Well done to all those that have designed the site, built the lodges, the whole place is nice, the people lovely, keep on doing the good stuff as the saying goes!

Excellent luxury lodge

We found the lodge to be presented beautifully. The kitchen and bathrooms and the whole lodge has been constructed to a very good standard. Not far from west wittering beach so location was great. The site was quiet and peaceful and we enjoyed our stay so much that we have booked again to come back in September.

4 day break

We had the most wonderful time staying in Fern Lodge. The property is beautifully decorated and to a very high standard with everything you need for a great family break. We particularly loved the hot tub and outside space. It was very peaceful and we enjoyed watching the wildlife in the meadow. The locations is great for day trips too. We would definitely recommend this property and love to visit again. We were sad to leave!

A wonderful family holiday

We love the cottage and the proximity of Bosham Harbour. My wife and I are well into our eighties and simply enjoy the chance to relax with our young family away from it all . We have annoyed the Chichester Theatre, the Planetarium and the pancake lunch at the cafe in Bosham. The youngsters go further afield and thoroughly enjoy the hot tub as the evening draws in. They love to hear the owls. And what about the plums !.

Great property with friendly hosts

Professionally managed property in a great setting. Newly built to a high standard with a nice hot tub. The only thing to be aware of is there are neighbours who are camping, so they are potentially sensitive to late noise.

High quality!

This is a top quality lodge with high standards for everything - the decor, the furnishings, the hot tub, the kitchen. Very comfortable and really enjoyable place to stay with a dog, who absolutely loved the garden. She could play whilst we enjoyed the hot tub! We will be back!

Perfect place to stay and relax

We honestly had a brilliant stay at Fern Lodge. It was the perfect place to relax and spend time in the sunshine. It was ideal with our daughter, extremely child friendly but with a luxurious feel. We even saw an owl and deer in the meadow and loved watching the sunset on the balcony after a relax in the hot tub. Could not recommend this place more. Sarah was also really helpful.

Perfect retreat

We stayed for the week running up to my daughter’s wedding. It was a relaxing and peaceful retreat amidst a hectic week of wedding preparations. The owners were willing and prompt to help with a few requests and were onsite immediately to help. My daughter and her bridal party got ready in the beautiful downstairs area and large bedroom and bathroom upstairs. A perfect week. Thank you.

Family Holiday (5)

We had a wonderful time in spite of the indifferent weather. Lots to see and visit. The hot tub was enjoyed by the younger ones who because of the low light pollution were able to observe the stars and the shooting stars in particular. Thank you so much Fern Lodge.

Another wonderful stay

I would like to start by saying a massive thank you to Sarah. So very helpful and friendly. The accommodation is beautiful and clean. The setting is wonderful and peaceful. They provide everything you could possibly need and more. The information packs are really helpful if you choose to venture out. This is our second stay with our dog, who was also well catered for. He loves just laying in the garden listening to the birds. Thank you so much for another wonderful stay. We will definitely be back x

Clean , Comfortable,Convenient Welcoming. Our group of 3 Motorsport nuts from Australia could not have been happier . Sarah was delightful to deal with during our booking and then took great care of us on arrival . Only positive thoughts about our experience ! 12 out of 10 !

Lovely stay

We stayed in Fern Lodge for three nights while attending a family wedding. The owners clearly care about the property, it was equipped with everything we needed and many extras too. The beds were all comfy and the showers had great water pressure. If I could make one request, it would be for a larger mirror upstairs on the dressing table, the two smaller ones provided were great for makeup but not for hair drying. The location was perfect for us and the outside space was a real bonus. My daughter loved the hanging chair and now wants one in her bedroom. Wi-fi was a little temperamental but that encouraged my two teenagers to put the screens down so not really a negative point as far as I’m concerned. We are looking forward to returning in the future.

What an amazing find, a beautiful place in gorgeous countryside with the very best of amenities. Everything was very easy and relaxed. Fern Lodge was immaculate. Lots of information on the surrounding areas in the lodge. Lovely dog hamper on arrival. Everything had been thought of. We will most definitely be back and also recommended to many of our friends and family. Perfect!

Fabulous lodge in a great location

Fern Lodge is so beautifully done and well-equipped that we instantly felt at home and didn't want to leave. Sarah was extremely friendly and helpful, but left us alone to get on with it unless needed. My daughter, her friend (both 12) and Oscar the spaniel (14) all had a fabulous time in the garden. The girls loved the got tub and the garden is a sun-trap. Plenty to do near by, we went to West Wittering, Bosham, Chichester and walked to the Horse and Groom through the woods. We plan to come back to explore some more.

Family break

Booked fern lodge and meadow lodge for a 4 day family break - 5 adults and 4 children 2 dogs First impressions, beautiful lodges in peaceful location. Greeted by Sarah who showed us around both lodges and explained everything we needed to know to make our holiday a perfect start. Had days out in Bosham and took a train to Chichester , plenty of lovely places to visit One thing I will say / suggest for future guests is to look at providing either a floor standing cooling system- air con - as Weather was so hot over the weekend which is great , however we could not cool down inside and trying to sleep at night was awful Especially in meadow lodge which my parents stayed in was very uncomfortable . Both lodges had everything you need for a great stay with excellent kitchen facilities Hot tub was extremely clean and maintained daily A few little things which I thought was a little off putting as we have not stayed anywhere else who did this , was little signs which are placed all around the lodges - on beds - charges for any stains left on bed linen , pets not allowed on furniture , sign on stair gate - no dogs allowed upstairs , felt a little on edge instead of relaxing.

Lovely Stay

We had a great stay at Ferm Lodge. The cabin / cottage is lovely. Really nicely styled, very clean, all perfect. Hot tub is great. We had an issue with the internet at the cottage - slow, intermittent. Not helped with very low 5G coverage for going direct to mobile. Raised this with Sarah and was advised that the service provider was having issues in the area. They offered to pay for my wife to use a co-working space so she could still work; at that stage we had already got my wife into a cafe to work from. We were then given free charging of our EV to make up for the issue.

Girls 50th Weekend

We had a lovely weekend at Fern Lodge. It’s is beautifully built and decorated, lovely and clean and perfect for a relaxing weekend. It would have been good if the hot tub was ready for use on our first evening but understand this takes some time to prepare. No cheese grater and no hooks on inside of bathroom doors - very small things also no fire pit in garden as listed (marshmallows won’t go to waste though). We found the sofa too slouchy, a few with back ache but that’s because we spent too much time sitting on it! All in all a fab place to stay, we would all go back again, thank you for having us!

Luxury and peaceful

We stayed here for a long weekend, it was a surprise for my wife’s 40th birthday, I cannot fault this place at all, we stayed in mid October and were lucky with the Indian summer as we able to enjoy the outside decking and relax with the hammocks and enjoy the beautiful surroundings including the wild deer running through the field next to us, our children loved it too, the upstairs bedroom is breathtaking and includes a balcony to take it all in, the hot tub was perfect and immaculate, the log fire was so cosy in the evening even though it wasn’t needed due to it being good weather but we had to try it., my fave was the Bluetooth system throughout the lodge, WIFI was excellent and not once did our kids whinge that there was no WiFi. Lovely walks right nearby all set out in the welcome pack. 110% we will be returning. Sarah the host was very welcoming and friendly. All in all this lodge is luxury and takes you away from the busy life of work etc.

Relaxing break

Lovely accommodation in tranquil setting. Lodge was very well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Lovely size garden which was perfect for my dog. Fab sunken hot tub which was so easy to get in and out of. Overall would thoroughly recommend for a relaxing break away from home especially with your furry friend!
