Newly renovated 2 bedroom apartment on Monte Dourado Resort - Close to town

Recently renovated 2-bedroom/ 2-bathroom apartment on the Monte Dourado resort in the heart of Carvoeiro. The apartment has been totally renovated and refurbished to a high standard throughout and is only a 5 minute walk to the beach, shops, bars and restaurants.

This first floor apartment is one of 12 which share a spacious pool area consisting of a large pool and a smaller children's pool, an outdoor shower, sunbeds and parasols. Guests also have use of four other pools on the Monte Dourado complex, one of which is heated during the winter.

A bright and spacious hallway leads to a newly fitted open plan kitchen, complete with everything you need for a self-catering holiday. The light and airy lounge has a dining table and chairs, two comfortable large sofas and a pellet burner - ideal for those winter stays. There is satellite TV with a good selection of channels including sports. Patio doors from the lounge open onto a south facing terrace which overlooks the pool area. The balcony has a table and chairs for dining and two sun loungers for relaxation.

There are two large bedrooms, the main bedroom has a super king bed, newly fitted wardrobes and looks out onto the south facing balcony. This bedroom also has a spacious en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower. The second bedroom has a single bed and a double bed and newly fitted wardrobes. Opposite, there is an additional bathroom with corner shower. Both bedrooms are bright and modern with new air conditioning units.

Tennis courts are also available to hire, for a small charge, from Monte Dourado reception.

There is an extra charge for electricity on all bookings made between 1st November to 31st March.

Lagoa Municipal Tourist Tax came into force on 13 April 2024 and must be charged to all guests. The municipal tourist tax is charged per person/per night and applies to all guests over the age of 13 up to a maximum of 7 nights.
The tax is charged at 2 euros per person/per night in high season (1 April - 31 October) and 1 euro per person/per night in low season (1 Nov - 31 Mch).

Beautiful property, exactly as described. Very clean and had everything you could want. Air Con was very quiet, Wifi was excellent. Pool area well looked after, lovely and clean with plenty of beds and brollies. Apartment was just a short walk from the main areas, where there where plenty of bars, restaurant and shops. Met by Emma who was lovely and welcoming, even provided basic necessities for the first night. Overall one of the best apartments we have stayed at. Will definitely recommend

Family holiday

Great central location to tour the Algarve

The apartment was totally newly renovated with all the amenities we needed for our 3 week stay. It was a great central location to tour the Algarve, walking distance to the Seven Hanging Valley Trails and so many others around the Algarve. We knew that going in mid January would be cool, however the area was experiencing cooler weather than normal. Stay layered and enjoy this sites.

Great apartment

The apartment was super. It had everything we needed, was modern and spotless. The pool was lovely and everything was a 5 minute walk away - restaurants, cafes, bars and the beach. There are small supermarkets in the town, or a larger one 2k away if you have car. Overall we loved the apartment and Carvoeiro and would definitely recommend.

Fantastic holiday in Carvoeiro

We are a family of 5 and stayed the last week of August. The flat is fantastic, very clean and well kept, just as described. The kitchen is perfectly equipped and the appliances are new and in excellent condition. Emma has been attentive to us and has welcomed us with sandwiches, milk, milk, juice, wine and beer which we really appreciated after a long journey. It is the best flat we have ever stayed in, 100% recommendable. Perfect location for summer holidays in Carvoeiro, a very beautiful and attractive village. First time visiting the Algarve and we couldn't have chosen a better flat and location.

Ideal Vacation Home

Beautiful bright and modern apartment with all the amenities needed for a comfortable and pleasant “home away from home”. We especially loved the location which was quiet and relaxing yet just a 5 to 10 minute walk to all the action of the town square, restaurants & bars, and the beautiful beach. The host was excellent and accommodating and promptly responded to our questions prior to our arrival. We really appreciated the complimentary food and refreshments that awaited us on our arrival. We can’t say enough about the property manager. She warmly welcomed us at check-in and was always available to promptly assist with any issues during our stay. We would definitely recommend this apartment and we very much look forward to coming back.

Monte Dourado 6 Buganvilia

4 adults stayed in this condo for 15 nights in March 2025. The condo is just as the pictures showed and had everything we could have wanted. Emma (agent for host) met us at check-in which was earlier than we expected which was great as we had an overnight flight. She provided some cold meats, cheese, beer/wine and some bread to make a nice lunch. Very nice touch! She gave us lots of information about operating the pellet stove and AC/heating units etc...I had a few questions during our stay and Emma was always prompt in responding and offering assistance.The property is very well maintained and so close to the main square, beach and restaurants/bars. We will definitely try to stay here again on our next trip to Carvoeiro.The host Sharon was also very pleasant and prompt in our communications. Immaculate apartment

As mentioned in previous reviews, the apartment is newly renovated, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. We called the manager, Emma, from the airport and she was there, with a welcome pack of goodies, to meet us. The pool is small but we prefer the beach, so that didn’t bother us. The apartment is also at the top of a steep hill, which was fine for us but may be a challenge for others. Top tip: buy your groceries from the local market - exit the apartment from the right and turn right again towards ‘restaurant hill’. We’d highly recommend this apartment. Although there were only 2 of us, it would comfortably suit 5. The only glitch we had was a water outage one night (affected the whole area) but alerted us to the dreadful water shortages in S. Portugal, which we were unaware of.
