Ubicado a poca distancia a pie del Taylor County Expo Center, Shotwell Stadium, The Abilene ZOO y Lyle Land & Cattle, a solo unos minutos del aeropuerto de Abilene. Beautiful home and exceptional hospitality. Welcoming and friendly for all our needs. Each bedroom was set up beautifully. Fresh linens and main areas were perfect for dinner or relaxing watching TV. Close to the area we were spending most of our time - at the Expo Center.

Lessons we have learned. . We would do our research before hand and read reviews. How someone responds to unfavorable comments tells a lot about a person. We would recommend not renting from someone’s personal house. It is hard to separate the emotions of your home from the business end of it. As a paying VRBO customer you want a place to stay with no drama. It shouldn’t overshadow your trip.

I agree with Nancy. Please read. I have had trouble with work crews before. And, with one person renting for other people when they themselves will not actually be on property. Both of those things are against my house rules. I responded to Nancy’s request saying that I no longer rent to work crews and offered to help them find another property since I have friends here who have them. I was happy to help. Nancy begged me to reconsider and I told her that when there are work crews here, things get broken and no one wants to take responsibility. She assured me that would not happen and that I would not be sorry if I gave them a chance. So, I went against my gut and accepted the rental. I will say, over all, the guys were OK and did a good job with the house. Nancy’s husband, George, messaged me during the stay telling me that when he got into one of the cabinets (which was a cabinet filled with Christmas dishes…so why??) and reached for a bowl, some plates just “slid” out. Christmas dishes aren’t cheap. But, they had purchased the insurance and damage protection. Do you know why people do that? It’s because accidents happen. However, in spite of text messages from George in which he tells me he broke the plates and sends an example picture of what they were, neither George or Nancy wanted to accept responsibility. I filed and they are disputing. And that’s the real story Nancy doesn’t want you to know. I have documentation showing all of this. I would not rent to these people.

The house is very nice however it felt a little uncomfortable because many of the homeowners personal belongings and family photos were all over the house. I felt more like I was staying with someone at their personal house than at a VRBO. For some I think that would be fine but it was a little weird for us.

I’m fascinated by this review. It says in the description of the property online that it is my residence. And, even in the pre-arrival material, I go over the fact that this is my house. I think it’s a pretty low class thing to rate me three stars when you could’ve just read for yourself and made your own decision. While I did say I would rent to you again, please don’t come back here.

Absolutely beautiful

The house was amazing, spacious, comfy, only thing to have made it better was if i were coming home there everyday. Brandon was super helpful leading up to our stay with info about the check in, places to see, to eat, just an absolute outstanding person! We all def enjoyed the LARGE couch, plenty of room and not feel cramped

A Real Treat

From our first message to Brandon, until check out, our stay was seamless. Great atmosphere, in a quiet neighborhood. Brandon makes sure you have EVERYTHING you need and more. The low lighting, as you arrive is very relaxing, and the sheets are fabulous. All around a comfortable and relaxing stay! Thank you for all your accommodations, Brandon:)

House on Summoners street - Wonderful place to stay.

The house was beautiful and the neighborhood was a wonderful, quiet, place to stay. I would definitely stay again and I would recommend others to stay. Nash - the house pet that stayed in the back yard was a playful dog that my family loved.

Clean, family-friendly house

Perfect home away from home!

Our first experience using VRBO and we will definitely be using it again. We were so pleased with this place, it was everything we were looking for. We picked Abilene as a middle point to meet for a special weekend between our family and a family very dear to us. We had not see each other in months and just want it a quiet place that we can spend quality time together. This home is a real "sanctuary", the perfect home away from home!! Brandon the owner of the property was so nice, helpful and accommodating. His hospitality made us feel so welcome. He also provided recommendations on places to dine and it was spot on! This is also the perfect place to stay in, cook together, relax and watch a movie, just as you would do in your own home. We absolutely loved the home décor. The mixture of things made it so much more interesting and they work so nicely together. The music room was a hit for our two boys 12 years of age. They loved having their own place to play, relax and enjoy games. The location is perfect, we visit the zoo at just 3 minutes away and restaurants downtown are also very near by. Best Host Ever!

Our family has stayed in VRBO's in several states, Brandon is the best host we have ever had, above and beyond making sure we had everything we needed. Beautiful home better than pictured.

This was a beautiful home in a great location. It is even more beautiful than pictured. The host Brandon was amazing. We rented this home for a girls weekend. I will definitely be running this home again in the future. My children plan to stay here when they visit Abilene. This was such a great home I have recommended it to my local church for pastors when they come into town. I can’t wait to stay in this lovely home myself again. Thanks Brandon for sharing your home with all us girls!!!

Abilene Escape

I spent 5 years of my life in Abilene and we went back to see some friends from college. Great mid-town location with quirky Abilene charm throughout the house. The Host, Brandon, is a super host for a reason, he is great!

Great place to stay!

After flying in to Dallas for a wedding, I arranged to have a few more days in Texas to visit with family from Lubbock. Abilene was halfway between us, and the Sanctuary was the perfect place to spend a few days! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Brandon's home. The house is lovely, quiet, beautifully decorated, and provided ample room for two adults and two teens. The big screen TV was great for March Madness, and we enjoyed checking out the sites and restaurants of Abilene. Brandon was a great host, offering a warm welcome, tourist info, and many little things that made our stay more comfortable and fun. Nash (the dog) was delightful, but stays outdoors in case you are not a dog person. This was so much nicer than staying in a hotel, and we would definitely stay here again if we return to Abilene. We highly recommend it!
