Villa Meliti - stunning seaviews, infinity pool, privacy, close to the beach

Inspired by the palette of the surrounding nature's colours, villa Meliti offers the harmony and serenity of the countryside. The ground floor hosts a spacious living room with fireplace and double sofa-bed, fully equipped kitchen and a bedroom with bathroom. A wooden staircase leads to the first floor, where the second bedroom and bathroom can be found. The views of the small green 'princes islands' including the Greek tycoon's Onassis island named Scorpios are simply unique!

The villa is located next to nature, just above the seafront village of Perigiali (500 m), hence enjoying these dramatic seaviews! Although extra effort will be needed walking uphill to reach the villa on the way back from the beach, the closest beach is just a 10-min walk downhill. The villa is conveniently enjoying total privacy and quiet, yet it is so close (only 1km) to all watersport, restaurant, shops and conveniences of cosmopolitan Nydri. Car hire essential.

Best villa we have stayed in! Can not fault at all from the very kind and helpful Lydia to the most amazing views from the villa to the beautiful pool and well equiped villa, not forgetting the beautiful welcome basket, so thoughtful. Lefkada is a beautiful island with many things to see and do and lots of great restaurants. Absolutely loved!

Villa with a view

Amazing views of the islands in the Ionian Sea. Warm welcome from Lydia, a fridge and bread basket full of provisions. Great pool, loungers and parasols, lovely swing chair to sit in and admire the view. Only down side to being able to look down at the view is the steep hill, which was quite a walk down and needed a taxi back up!

Lovely private villa. Wonderful views and very well equipped. The owner was helpful with information beforehand and her father John met us to take us to the villa. Felt at home straight away.. The steep drive to the villa is not for the faint hearted but it was worth it. Would be happy to return again which is not like us!

A perfect hideaway with a wonderful view

We enjoyed 2 wonderful weeks in Lefkada in May. The villa is lovely with the most breathtaking views. Thank you for the warm welcome from John and the information prior to and after booking from Eleni. The island is fabulous with great beaches and traditional and welcoming tavernas. We travelled all over the island and drove to Parga on the mainland for the day. In summary, a lovely house with amazing views on one the best Greek islands we have visited. We will be back!! A slice of heaven

What a fantastic villa! We have stayed in a number of villas over the years in both Greece & Spain but Villa Meliti is by far the best we have stayed in. The view, what a view, from every room, from the pool, from the BBQ area, simply stunning. It really is better than the pictures. The walk down to Nydri is steep but its about 15 mins but Nidri doesnt disappoint. The shops, the beach, the restaurants. What a fabulous place to stay, we really thought about not leaving a review as we don't want people to find this but this place is special. Thank you Lydia, we will 100% be back.

Lovely villa with pool and fantastic views.

Communication between us and Lydia/Elena really good, thank you! Lydia there to meet us on arrival and show us around the villa and make recommendations of where to visit. Wonderful welcome basket provided with supplies of milk, juice, wine, eggs and water in the fridge. Villa and pool really clean and well designed. Pool and villa cleaned during the week too. Lefkada is a beautiful island with amazing blue seas. We'll be back!

March stay in Villa Meliti

The villa is situated at the end of a 400m very steep single track "road" that is not for the faint hearted. This is typical of villas on hillsides in Lefkada that have spectacular views like this one. The property was impeccably clean and the host really nice. As it was a cool March, logs and electric radiators were provided. The food parcel provided for our arrival was by far the best we've ever had in all the years of staying with Vrbo properies with wine, milk , water (6 bottles), beer, butter, coffee, cake, mini croissants, toast, butter and lots of fruit. Unfortunately direct access to Perigaili beach is now nearly impossible due to new beach side properties. There are also no tavernas or supermarkets within easy walking distance. A car is a must but once stocked up chilling by the pool is all one needs. The gardens like the villa are impeccably maintained with 5 separate areas to relax and wind down.

An incredible holiday

The villa is really lovely. A great size and immaculate (cleaned regularly). The views are just stunning, absolutely wonderful to look out to the islands every day. The pool is fantastic and it’s so relaxing being at the villa and looking out to sea. We felt lucky every day. Lydia was so welcoming. We had a great welcome basket of food so could spend the first day by the pool before getting food for our stay. Really easy to get restaurant deliveries. We also walked into town and would get a taxi back. Great beach clubs where you can book beds (food fantastic) at the sail inn and pinewood at the bottom of the hill. Advisable to have a car if you want to explore. We had an incredible holiday and Meliti is a really special place. We stayed for two weeks and we were all so sad to leave. We will never forget it. A big thank you to Lydia and your team!

Idyllic villa in superb location

Situated just above the village of Perigiali and with in touching distance of the livelier Nidri, this villa is something else. It has the most amazing view of the neighbouring islands and the boats sailing around them provide a constant source of interest. It is quite secluded from other properties in the area, is fully equipped for self catering and we had a most enjoyable time here. It was difficult to tear ourselves away but we did manage to see most of the island. There are numerous restaurants in Nidri and the surrounding area and I hesitate to recommend any as tastes differ, but we had a superb meal in the Pinewood-a bit upmarket from the others and therefore slightly more expensive, and Bardis Taverna serves a very succulent octopus flame grilled right under your eyes. I have to say a special thank you to John and the staff for all their help and particularly for the most welcoming provisions when we arrived very late in the evening. Be prepared for the steep access drive which is well worth it when you see the superb view from the villa. For us this was the ideal location.

Spectacular view and lovely, comfortable villa.

The property is just as outlined in the various pictures but the view really is amazing to wake to every day. The property is comfortable and had everything you would need. There was even a table tennis table which we weren't expecting which was a bonus! But the pool and the view really are superb. A view never to tire of. And the pool and garden are completely private; not overlooked by the nearby villas. It is up a steep hill but to be honest, we walked down to Nidri every day and got a taxi back - no problem, and got some exercise in on the way. Nidri has a good buzzy atmosphere with lots of bars and restaurants but not too busy. I must also say that Lydia was a fantastic host; what ever we needed, she assisted us with and was particularly helpful on our last day when we had a late flight and needed to store cases and organise a taxi to the airport. Really fantastic host - thank you Lydia :-) I would recommend this property to anyone wanting peace and quiet, superb views in a comfortable villa but with nightlife nearby. I will definitely be back.

Lovely hillside retreat with stunning sea views

This villa is even better than it looks from the photos. It is set up in the hills and very secluded, with beautiful panoramic views of the neighbouring islands and sea. If you want a peaceful, relaxing holiday this is the place to come. The villa is very well appointed and comfortable inside and the infinity pool and outside dining/seating areas are perfect for the hot weather. We spent most of our time on the terrace and by the pool. Nidri town is a 20-minute walk away, which is fine on the way down but pretty tough on the way back up the long, steep road to the villa. It is only a quick drive away, though, and has several decent supermarkets, many similar touristy restaurants and shops and a few hidden gems. Tom's Seaside Restaurant is a lovely quiet place just off the main drag on the seafront. Ergon is a deli/restaurant with an interesting, different menu from the normal fare. De Blanck is a cute wine and champagne bar run by a lovely Danish couple. Good for a treat. We hired a motor boat for a day and navigated around the islands - great fun. We also drove to Porto Katsiki on the west coast, which is a beautiful beach about an hour and a half's drive away. The local restaurant delivers food onto the beach, which is very handy. The large tourist boats stop here and, I would imagine, in peak season, this small beach would become very over-crowded. Guests at the villa are extremely well looked after, with Lydia, John and Eleni on hand to answer questions and to check that guests have everything they need. The villa is cleaned thoroughly twice a week and very well maintained. I would thoroughly recommend this villa to people who want to stay in a peaceful, secluded property with excellent facilities and stunningly beautiful views.

Indeed, our photos are not professional ones, and we plan to replace them this year, in order to accurately reflect the villas' benefits both indoors and outdoors including its really spectacular seaviews it enjoys. Magnificent Meliti

From booking to arrival, we were impressed with all concerned and the level of service provided. Upon arrival we were stunned by the views from the villa, and they were worth the very difficult walk up the hill. You do need a car, and it was especially needed during the latter part of our 5 weeks stay when temperatures were reaching nearly 40 degrees. Walking back up at night is not too bad, but definitely not during the heat of the day. It only took 10 minutes to walk down to the beach (20 into Nidri), but 45 to get back up (30 by the end of the holiday as I got fitter). The villa has everything you could want from a holiday rental, and more! Furnished well, lots of crockery/glasses, etc, with TV, DVD player and WiFi, the only thing missing we could think of would be a better TV package, as all we could get was BBC News and Sky News, perhaps some movie channels would be good for a long stay when you don't want to go out every night. We only used the AC the last couple of nights, but it was effective and quiet. The garden was lovely and looked very good at night when it was all lit up. The pool (used often) was kept well and cleaned regularly, as was the villa itself. We didn't have any real problems, and the couple of times we had to ask about something, it was dealt with very quickly. We felt very at home at Meliti, it was a real home away from home, and the owners should feel proud of this fact. I have nothing but praise for the whole team, we thought it was one of our best holidays ever and are looking forward to returning again next year if possible My friends have all said the photos of the villa are stunning, and I assured them it was even better in reality.

Simply the best...

This was our first visit to Lefkadas and we were overjoyed with the island, but more particularly with this property. It is uniquely situated overlooking the adjoining islands with amazing views which never fail to astonish. It's peace and tranquillity were just what we were looking for but equally a short trip into Nidri provides a complete change of atmosphere, with numerous bars and restaurants to suit every choice and pocket. I hesitate to recommend eating places because tastes differ, but for a really professional experience and good food, the Pinewood fits that bill-slightly more expensive than the average but well worthwhile. If it's octopus that does it for you, you would do no better than Bardis Tavern a friendly family-run eatery where you can watch them flame-grill your octopus. I have to single out the welcome we received from the owners of this villa-not only for the most wholesome welcome pack awaiting our arrival but for the cleanliness of the villa and the facilities which were first class. John-you are a star and all the help we received was very much appreciated both in the planning of our visit and during our stay. Jane and Clive

Perigiali Paradise

From start to finish staying here has been one of the finest holidays we've ever had. Even down to the little details of being able to easily follow the direction to the destination and meeting Jon on our arrival who showed us round and offered lots of friendly advise as to the best beeches and bars locally. The villa is simply stunning the photos don't do the view justice, its amazing being sat in your own pool looking out on a view like that. I have to say the walk up the hill to the villa is very steep but the pay off is absolute privacy and some of the best views in Greece. You have everything you need, all amenities, good wifi, pool, air con, bbq, we didn't move for two days as we just wanted to enjoy the villa, not often we get so much peace and quiet. Nidri and its great tavernas and bars is about 20minutes walk, I'd say its probably the best place on the island, we drove all around and agreed we'd picked the best spot for a base. We had a car so most of the time we drove down the hill and parked at the bottom and walked on the flat road in to town, although a taxi is only a few euros too. I can't recommend this villa and destination enough, would go back tomorrow if we could. The best holiday and more importantly a truly memorable honeymoon. Thank you so much, Eleni, Lydia & John

Beautiful villa with beautiful view

We had a very nice stay at villa Meliti. Sir John was waiting for us in the town of Nydri and showed us the way and let us in. Had a nice welcome this way. Immediately we were struck by the beautiful view. The way uphill wasn't a problem for us at all, because we always used the car. The villa itself was spotlessly clean, very well maintained, well eqquipped and nicely decorated. There was a welcoming basket and some fresh products allready in the fridge. Once the gardenman came to mow the lawn, and once a friendly lady came to change sheets and clean the villa. It's nicely located near Nydri, where a lot of reastuarants and shops are. On your way to Nydri you pass aa great bakery. We rented a boat at Lefkas boats and explored the sea and islands, even saw dolphins! Highly reccommend such a trip. Our stay at villa Meliti was great, eventhough we first were a little scared of the insects outside. But we got used to them after a while. I would highly reccommend this villa. You will be greatly be looked after from booking to finish! Lefkadahouses thank again!

Fine stay. Breath-taking view. Good assistance. Very steep path (Worth climbing). Nice night lighting. The property is clean and well-maintained. Hard walk to beach (fit for young & athletic customers only).

Villa with stunning views

We were absolutely delighted with the villa and in particular the views over the Ionian Islands. Despite it being quite a steep climb whether by foot or in the car it is well worth it. The quality of the Villa Meliti is very good indeed with excellent facilities and well laid out. It was particularly well maintained and clean. When we were met on arrival we were greeted extremely well and with a good introduction to what was on offer. This followed excellent communication prior to the trip. The island of Lefkada has a lot to offer from the picturesque little harbour at Vassiliki to the beaches on the West Coast to the delights of taking a boat around the nearby islands of Meganissi and Scorpios. The few nearby tavernas in Perigiali offer lovely local dishes with the extensive eateries to be found in vibrant Nidri. We had such a wonderful time and the best of all was the villa which was first class and couldn't recommend more highly.

Serving you as best we can is of primary importance to us! Indeed, the location of the villa is of great advantage, offering total peace and breathtaking views, being so close to the seaside, local tavernas and at the same time next to Nydri, the island's most cosmopolitan village. We are very happy when our guests go back home taking with them a memorable vacation!

Perfect for a quality family stay!

We wanted to say a heart-felt THANK YOU for the wonderful stay in your house. We are used to spending our holidays in holiday villas, and can state that yours is one of the best we have ever been in: the views are naturally wonderful (especially from the infinity pool with a cool cocktail ...), but also the house is perfect for a quality family stay: enough space, clean and nicely decorated living room, excellent airco (which is sometimes needed), good shower and fridge... nothing was missing. The fact that the house is well above the hustle and bustle of the main road provides perfect tranquility, and as it's on the East coast, mornings are sunny and evenings delightfully cool. Also a big thank you for the speedy reaction when something small was missing, and the flexibility upon our departure time. You might see us back one summer... warm regards from the Dockx Family

Fabulous Villas

We rented both Meliti and Pethesia for over 3 months, what beautiful villa they both are, fantastic views, peaceful surroundings, but close enough to pop down to the local resteruants and shops in a couple of minutes. The Villas are beautifully appointed and very well maintained almost as new. We thought they looked good on the website but they are even better. After 3 1/2 months we unfortunatly have to say goodbye this year but will definatly be back to enjoy them again. David Whittaker and Louise Ashby
