Welcome and thank you so much for taking an interest in "El Cotillo Tranquilidad" which is our piece of heaven on earth.
My name is Howard. My wife Janine and I live in the UK and we were so happy that in Fuerteventura we were able to achieve great weather during the British winter and we have now set up this apartment which is full of love and makes us so happy.
The dream was to establish a bolthole that meets all of our requirements and then to share the experience with others. We strongly believe that if one has not lived and loved a holiday rental, it will not have covered every angle and will not be a great rental. Success to us is defined by the desire to come back and to achieve that we have established a number of feedback and communication methods. We are keen to find out about any issues, shortfalls or suggestions. We also offer a discount for return visits. Our apartment is yours while you are with us. Please have fun.
As important as the apartment itself is its location. We managed to discover this lovely large village called El Cotillo, formerly a fishing village, on the north west coast of Fuerteventura. It is a wonderful location as it has the best beaches whether your interest is surfing or caribbean-like lagoons and there are numerous bars and restaurants, as well as surfing and horseriding schools, within easy walking distance. Within 15-20 minutes of El Cotillo is Fuerteventura's first and livelier resort of Corallejo and within 10-15 minutes is the rather stylish and Bohemian town of Lajares with a laid-back feel. There are numerous other great towns and the capital of Fuerteventura, Puerto Del Rosario, is only 40 minutes away and of course the overall location close to the west coast of Africa ensures great temperatures and minimal rain all year round.
The apartment is located in a quiet residential avenue within 3 to 4 minutes of restaurants as well as the New Harbour in a smart building of four self-contained apartments, one of which is ours. The surfing beaches are a mere 5 minutes walk away and the sheltered and calm clear water lagoons are 10-15 minutes walk or 3-4 minutes by car. The historic Old Harbour with more bars and restaurants and a nightclub which closes at 2.00 in the morning is 5 minutes walk away. Two good supermarket and other shops are within 4-5 minutes walk.
Reliable car hire with good insurance and no shocks can be as little as 16 Euros per day with Autorheisen which we recommend and this should be booked from home on the internet, collected at the airport and used for the 40 minute drive to the apartment and one can park safely outside at no cost. Keep the car for the duration and deliver back to the airport on return home.
The apartment is well equipped and has one double bedroom, a newly fitted bathroom, a kitchen, a lounge with Juliette balcony and a rooftop solarium with furniture and barbeque. Wifi, UK television channels including BBC, Netflix and Amazon Prime (will need your User ID and password) on 43 inch lounge and bedroom smart televisions is provided at no additional cost.
Surfing and horseriding schools are within easy walking distance.

My name is Howard Butler. I spent 40 years working in a variety of Aerospace and Defence companies and I am now retired. I have been married to Janine, my wife, for 36 years and we have three lovely daughters that we are very proud of. Janine and I enjoy travel but particularly enjoy the many aspects of El Cotillo that have given us such pleasure since 2018. Following retirement, Janine and I discovered Fuerteventura, starting in Costa Calma and we were so impressed that we toured the island for a small property and we found El Cotillo and this wonderful apartment. El Cotillo is full of people with smiles on their faces. A swim on La Concha Beach early in the morning is my favourite aspect and we still have not managed to try every bar and restaurant due to the immense number of them.

El Cotillo Tranquilidad is perfectly located from every point of view and offers stylish, well appointed accommodation with easy free parking. My wife and I have spent extended periods in this apartment so we know that all requirements have been considered and provided.
Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial
The apartment is in a very peaceful residential area close to all amenities without the need for driving. El Cotillo is full of people with smiles on their faces. A swim on La Concha Beach early in the morning is my favourite aspect and we still have not managed to try every bar and restaurant due to the immense number of them.
