Convenientes tiendas y restaurantes están a poca distancia. Alquileres cortos y extendidos para viajeros de negocios o para aquellos que se mudan. A minutos del histórico Chadds Ford y del pintoresco valle de Brandywine, planifique recorrer nuestro Wine & Ale Trail, camine por nuestras vías verdes o experimente los numerosos duPont Chateau's con sus gloriosos jardines y jardines. Nice, quiet property in a beautiful neighborhood. Felt very safe. Comfortable bed. Heat worked wonderfully. Internet was good. Host left goodies for us in the room which were very thoughtful and yummy! Location was close to so much shopping, restaurants, etc. Short drive to Longwood Gardens. Would return for a future stay.

A great place! Our host was welcoming and attentive. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. All of the touches really made the place feel like home. The location is quiet and peaceful, not too far from attractions. Highly recommended!

We loved our stay here. Cheryl and Don are gracious hosts and left special touches like muffins and hard boiled eggs for our first breakfast. The area was located in a great area with easy access to many great historic sites. I would love to stay here again and do another visit to the Longwood Gardens.

We had a wonderful stay at this property while attending the University of Delaware football game. The drive to the stadium was about 20 minutes with traffic, which was very convenient. The hosts were AMAZING and incredibly accommodating, making our visit smooth and comfortable. The location is excellent, with outstanding restaurants, a movie theater, and a mall just minutes away. Highly recommend this property for anyone visiting the Wilmington area!

Suite was perfect, clean and in a beautiful neighborhood. The host was wonderful and left us delicious blueberry muffins for our first morning there. We came for Longwood garden, it did not disappoint. Plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby.

Lovely stay

This is a beautiful home with beautiful landscaping. We were greeted with a personal note from the host and muffins ready for breakfast the next morning. The two room suite was a sitting room with comfy chairs, TV, and desk & a large bedroom and bath. Sadly, our schedule didn’t allow us to meet the hosts or take advantage of the outdoor spaces. All in all, it worked great for us.

Friends trip to Longwood Gardens

This is such a fantastic suite close to Longwood Gardens and many restaurants. The hosts were excellent at communicating. The suite was very clean and spacious with lots of little extras to make our stay special! There is a very nice mini fridge and microwave. Cheryl and Don had Gluten Free muffins, cookies & hard boiled eggs ready for our arrival! They even hand wrote a lovely welcome note. I’d recommend it to anyone and would love to visit again! Thank you so much for sharing your lovely space!

The best of Brandywine Valley

Beautiful property with lots of thoughtful touches - muffins and eggs. The patio area was a real delight as bird feeders brought feathered friends and a flock of Canada geese grazed in the nearby open area. Close to Longwood Gardens and Brandywine Creek State Park provided the ideal location.

Lovely stay close to Longwood Gardens

My husband and I felt right at home at Cheryl and Don’s property. The suite is clean and nicely decorated. The robes, assorted reading materials and binder full of recommendations were a great addition. We appreciated the homemade muffins, coffee/tea supplies and hard boiled eggs. The location is quiet, secure and conveniently located to many attractions. .

Well-appointed suite

Cheryl and Don’s guest suite was perfect for a short stay exploring all that is offered by the Brandywine Valley. Although the suite does not have a kitchen, the mini-fridge, microwave and coffee maker were perfect for our needs. The unit had many thoughtful touches, including bathrobes, extra toiletries, and small snacks. Muffins and coffee cream were provided for our first morning. The bed was comfortably made up and of medium firmness. Our hosts were very easy to work with and we never heard them (the unit is attached to their home through a locked door). We would definitely consider staying with them again.

Delaware has always been home to Cheryl. Her adventuresome spirit though is quick to lead her off the beaten path. Whenever opportunity arises, she is ready to go. She readily keeps a small bag packed with the bare essentials at all times. Cheryl has always juggled her love for the water with her love for the mountains. As an active member of Fleet 106 for many years, she crewed for HOBIE 16's and 18's in regattas up and down the east coast and on the national circuit. Her love for alpine skiing lead her to becoming a ski coach and instructor for 12 years in Killington, VT. Cheryl is always dishing up some of her fantastic gourmet recipes for her family and friends and eagerly shares her tried and true techniques with anyone willing to share a glass of good wine and stay in the kitchen with her as her sous chef. Her love of fine food and teaching lead her to enrolling in cooking school and eventually teaching and directing her own school, La Chapelle. Cheryl's professional background is in Nursing with a focus in Pediatrics and Home Health Care. She is outgoing, engaging and comfortable with all kinds of people and looks forward to sharing her interests and home with you.
Don's passion for music lead him to a career in Music Education. He served in the Delaware National Guard 287th Army Band for 6 years. As an accomplished jazz musician, he was asked to lead the Brandywine Blazer Jazz Band and accompanied them on a good will tour through central Europe. Over the years he has had the privilege of performing in many nationally known big bands, the likes of Bob Crosby, Guy Lombardo and Tex Beneke, the original Glenn Miller Band. Don loves a good conversation, gardening and live theatre.We enjoy sharing our home with others and meeting new people. As lifelong residents of the area, we can provide you with suggestions for "what to see & where to go" while you enjoy your stay in our home.
