Town: Borth-y-Gest is a peaceful Welsh beach community with mostly Victorian residences that have retained their charm and character. Borth-y-Gest has many of walking opportunities, with its sheltering coves and sandy beaches; why not climb Moel-y-Gest or stroll over the headland to the famous Black Rock Sands, or venture further afield to the enormous Snowdonia National Park? Take a journey on the famous Ffestiniog Steam Railway and Welsh Highland Railway from Porthmadog, which is only a 15-minute walk away, or explore the shorter but more child-friendly Welsh Highland Heritage Railway.
