Potters Cottage is a charming, traditional Victorian cottage in the heart of the conservation area of Deal. Just minutes’ walk to the historic high street, with its independent boutique shops and cafes and few more minutes to the wide-open beach front. The cottage is ideal for couples and families with flexible sleeping arrangements. The twin room can be a Super Kingsize bed, and the main bedroom has two folding beds for children. The cottage is full of natural light and is very quiet. Outside is a lovely walled courtyard garden with trees and shrubs offering a tranquil sunny green space away from the vibrant town.

We would respectfully ask that the following house rules are adhered to, to avoid any damages to our beautiful holiday home. Should any damages arise please note charges may be taken from your security deposit.
Please note check out is 10am. Please ensure you vacate on time to allow our housekeepers to enter the property and prepare it for the next guests.
Smoking is not permitted in the property at any time.
Please note for insurance purposes the number of guests must not exceed the total occupancy of the house (six guests).
For fire safety reasons please do not use any candles in the property.
Please be respectful to neighbours Quiet hours are between 11pm and 9am.
Parties and loud music are not permitted.
No pets are allowed at this property.

Perfect for our needs. Clean and spacious. Short walk to center of town, restaurants and pubs. Only (small) negative is the noise from critters running on the roof - got used to that after couple of days.

actually nice except for the flaws

It could have been very nice without the moth infestation and if the toilet flush had worked. Unfortunately, we were also not informed that an early check-in would have been possible.

Nice place

Parking is a problem,we had to park the car about 600 metres away. There should be an instruction how to work the heating. Very suitable for elderly people because of the handrails. Kitchen extremely well equipped.

Potters Cottage ist ein sehr englisches eingerichtetes Haus mit viel Platz. Die Lage in Deal ist ausgezeichnet, die Nelson Street liegt am Rand der City, alles ist fußläufig erreichbar. Einen Parkplatz etwas weiter außerhalb zu finden, ist kein Problem. Den Schlüssel gibt es komplikationslos über einen schlüsselsafe am Haus.Es gibt zwei Schlafzimmer, eins mit einer sehr weichen, großen Matratze und eins mit zwei nicht ganz so weichen Einzelmatratzen. Außerdem gibt es zwei Badezimmer, eins mit Dusche, eins mit Badewanne. Zudem drei (!) Toiletten, wobei der Abzug nur bei einer wirklich immer zuverlässig war. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet, es gibt auch ein Esszimmer mit einem schön großen Tisch. Das WLAN funktioniert sehr gut und der Fernseher ist Fire-Stick-fähig. Der Außenbereich ist sehr schön, aber eher nur zum Essen und nicht zum Entspannen geeignet (da "nur" mittelbequeme Stühle). Das Sofa und die Sessel sind leider nicht so richtig bequem, aber für eine Woche okay. Das Haus war bei unserer Ankunft sauber (nur hinterm Fernseher wurde noch nie gereinigt). Die Betreuung durch Keepers Cottage ist hervorragend.In der Nähe sind zwei Supermärkte und Deal ist voll mit sehr guten Restaurants.

Nice decor but problem with moths and room temperatures

Potters Cottage is nicely decorated and has a well equipped kitchen. However, as there is no door from the lounge down to the cellar, the living room and ground floor felt very chilly indeed at night. The second bedroom upstairs by contrast, was incredibly hot for our child to sleep there comfortably. There is a problem with the thermostat. The main thing was that there had clearly been an outbreak of moths prior to our visit as there were moth papers with dead moths stuck on them hung up everywhere in the cottage, which did not feel very hygienic at all, and it was a worry about unpacking clothes into cupboards. We did not expect this outbreak and it made us feel uncomfortable. It is great that there are x 3 WC's for families. However The flush on all 3 toilets was extremely weak and sometime did not work.

Fabulous Cottage Gem

A gorgeous homely cottage. Excellent location for the High Street full of independent cafes and shops and easy access to the seafront. The cottage is extremely well equipped with lovely touches such as battery candles in lovely glasses, interesting books and magazines. The kitchen has everything you could wish for. The lounge is very comfortable as are the bedrooms with very comfortable beds. A warm, cosy delightful cottage.

Relaxing stay in beautiful Deal

We had a lovely week in Deal, and fully enjoyed our stay. The cottage was comfortable, quiet and well equipped. It was also spotlessly clean. A short stroll and we were into the town or at the seafront. We thought parking was going to be an issue, but a non-restricted space could be found in a short distance. Would thoroughly recommend a stay at Potter's Cottage.

A wonderful break at Potters cottage

Potters cottage is conveniently located for everything in Deal and a great base to venture out to see more of Kent. The house is spotlessly clean. It has a very homely feel and we felt very comfortable there. The house has all the conveniences you need. The beds are very comfortable. Parking has no restrictions after 5.30pm until 8.30am and during the day you are allowed to park for 2 hours. We would certainly recommend Potters cottage if like us you want a comfortable stay in a handy location. Keepers cottages were excellent, keeping us informed, a little welcome bundle of muesli, coffee and oat milk on our arrival .Refunded the security deposit without having to chase. Would highly recommend the property and Keepers cottages.

Happy Potters Cottage

A wonderful sunny week in friendly Potters Cottage. Immediately felt at home - everything to hand and a lovely pretty small garden. Very close to High Street with small shops supplying needs, short walk to sea, pubs and restaurants. I lived at Kingsdown for many years but home is now in Bucks. Missing the sea I return every year to Deal - home from home for me! Thank you Keepers and Potters Cottage. See you next year!

Lovely, traditional cottage in a central Deal location

My 84-year-old mum and my brother thoroughly enjoyed their stay at Potters Cottage last week. The location was perfect - central, close to shops, pubs, the Saturday market and the seafront, but also very quiet - and the fact there was a disabled parking space right outside, was a real bonus! The decor was classic and traditional, but the property was spotlessly clean and comfortable, and the dividing doors between the kitchen, dining room and living room made it a flexible space for the 4 of us to spend time together - eating, drinking, playing games and watching TV. The weather was 'mixed' so we weren't outside as much as we'd have liked, but the outdoor space was a decent size and private. The only negative comment my mum made ALL week was that the garden wall would have looked better painted. A tiny point. We'd recommend the property to anyone looking for a comfortable, spacious, reasonably-priced holiday property in Deal!
