Relax in this cosy lodge, set in beautiful 100 acre grounds, after a busy day exploring the town of Auchterarder and the surrounding area.. 1 step to entrance (with ramp access).
All on the Ground Floor:
Open plan living space.
Living area: 42" Freeview Smart TV, Netflix, DVD Player, Ipod Dock, Patio Doors Leading To Decking
Dining area.
Kitchen area: Electric Oven, Gas Hob, Combi Microwave/Oven/Grill, Fridge, Freezer, Dishwasher, Washing Machine
Bedroom 1: Double (4ft 6in) Bed Ensuite: Cubicle Shower, Toilet
Bedroom 2: 2 x Single (3ft) Beds
Shower Room: Cubicle Shower, Heated Towel Rail, Toilet. Gas central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Doggy extras.. Enclosed decking with garden furniture. 100-acre grounds with woodland (shared with other properties on site). Trout fishing on-site (licence required). Private parking for 3 cars. 2 well behaved dogs welcome. No smoking. Please note: There are sloping banks and an unfenced stream in the grounds.. Thistle Lodge has been finished with quality fixtures and fittings throughout; guests will find it welcoming and well-presented at any time of year. The detached lodge benefits from the convenience of ramped access and is set all on the ground floor. With floor to ceiling glass in the open plan living space, the property offers a bright and airy ambience. Patio doors from the living area lead to a lovely decked area, and there is also a double bedroom with en-suite shower room, a twin bed room and family shower room with walk in shower. Explore the 100 acres of woodland on your doorstep, with private fishing available on the river which runs through the estate.
For the more adventurous, the area has much to offer including cycling and hill walking in the Ochil Hills, Auchterarder golf course and the championship Gleneagles course just a short drive away. There is also an equestrian centre, falconry centre and shooting school to enjoy. After a busy day, enjoy a delicious meal at Restaurant Andrew Fairlie, a 2 Michelin star dining experience.
The Royal Burgh of Auchterarder has a 1½ mile long high street, which offers a fine selection of quality independent shops, galleries, cafés and restaurants. For those who enjoy learning of the local culture and history, there are many castles, historic houses and gardens to choose from including Stirling Castle, Doune Castle and Drummond Castle Gardens. There are three whisky distilleries and visitor attractions close by, and with Crieff, Perth and Stirling only a short drive away, you’ll never be stuck for things to do. Just over an hour away are the cosmopolitan cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh. If you prefer to leave the car behind, the local railway station provides links to all major towns and cities. Beach 43 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
