Overall we enjoyed our stay at the apartment (not really a villa as it's in a block) and loved the location as it didn't feel touristy and there were a few nice places to eat and have a drink within 10 mins walk. The garden was very pretty, and generally the amenities were sufficient for our needs. A couple of things were not as expected: We were not given access to the secure parking, as per the ad, and also there was no BBQ that I could see. It was a little difficult to cook with limited utensils, but otherwise fine. The property is in pretty good condition, but could have been cleaner. It had clearly been cleaned, but was still a bit grimy in places (the bathroom basin and around the bottom of the shower), plus dust and dead flies on the window sills. The main issue for us was that our son couldn't stay in the downstairs bedroom as it was extremely hot, with no air con or even a fan. The tiny window was not sufficient to cool the room, and it smelled of damp. So in the end we had to move his mattress to the main bedroom and he had to sleep on the floor for 6 nights, which wasn't ideal for any of us. I did message Wonderful Italy about this a couple of times and received no response, which was disappointing. If those details can be improved upon then I would definitely recommend the home as a lovely place to stay. Also - great view of Etna from the living room window.
