Ideal for couples, the apartment in the historic Alfama area is warm, romantic, and serene - ensuring your stay in the heart of our sunny capital is comfortable and memorable.

This apartment is situated in Alfama, the oldest district in Lisbon, Alfama is a traditional, tranquil and artisan neighbourhood. It hosts a labyrinth of streets that are best explored without a guide or a map as an exciting museum, viewpoint, restaurant or funky store is just around the corner. Here also lies the heart of fado, the melancholic Portuguese genre of music whose origins can be traced back to the 1820s in Lisbon. The famous Tram 28 also passes through this district, which connects the districts of Graça with Baixa through Alfama, thus it is perfect for both those that enjoy hill climbing and those that do not.

The apartment was tucked away with wonderful views of Efamlie and the Tagus. Compact, clean and well maintained. Lots of stairs to access the apartment and just about everything else in Lisbon - so be prepared!

Great location!

Very cute property, clean and located in a very walkable area. View of the rooftops and river is beautiful. Bed is comfortable. My partner and I are both tall so there was a little getting used to ceiling and door heights in some areas, but to be expected when staying in historic buildings, it adds to the charm!

Didn’t have the best check-in experience after traveling all day, arrived at the property and the door codes weren’t working. Took over an hour to finally get in. The place was cute and the view great of all the cruise ships coming in, the novelty of the stairs was very short lived - anyone taller than 5’8” might have issues with the ceiling height in some areas. The place was also infested with tiny little ants. The listing said it was a 13 minute walk to Rossio square and it was actually over 23 minutes so had to jump in an uber one morning to catch the train rather than walk.

This listing is entirely inaccurate. I could never recommend this place to anyone. Major notes: 1. Check in was fine, but the listing says there's an elevator but there isn't. It's on the third floor with incredibly narrow steps. The doors of the 2nd and 3rd floor apartments are so close together that we had multiple run-ins with the people in the apartment on the 2nd floor because none of us could get in/out if the other was coming in/out. 2. The photos of this place are nice, but it's clear the property hasn't been kept up or cleaned in a long time. There's cracks in the walls and molding, some cabinets are misaligned and look like they were pushed back into place, there are carpenter ants everywhere (living room carpet, living room couch, bathroom, and sink. Even shared a video with the management team and they didn't acknowledge this). 3. We take our shoes off when we enter the apartment and after 10-minutes of walking around immediately after check-in, our feet were black. Pretty vile given the place was supposed to be clean on arrival.4. There is a sewage smell in the bathroom after showering because there is no ventilation. You can open the small window in there, but it opens to an alley that smells worse. 5. Air conditioning, location, views: fine6. Customer service: it's a large operation, so don't expect much.Overall not worth the headache for views you can get from anywhere else in the area.
