The North Kensington House is a charming three-bedroom cottage in West London, set within a fifteen minute walk of the iconic Notting Hill district. An excellent choice for those who would like a quiet neighbourhood, yet close enough to explore the delights of Golborne Road, with its independent shops and cafes, you’ll find everything from antique shops to authentic Moroccan grills as you wander through this quirky, eclectic neighbourhood.

From Golborne Road, wander along Portobello Road and further into Notting Hill.

Whether you are visiting as a small family or as a group of friends, this delightful cottage has everything you need for a week or month away in the city. Cosy and inviting, natural light cascades through every room - especially within the spacious open-plan living and dining space.

Vibrant art pieces can be seen throughout, providing a colourful contrast to the otherwise muted and earthy palette. After a long day, you can sink into the plush sheets of the king-size beds in all three bedrooms.

Head outside, and you’ll find access to a private garden with a large contemporary dining table for six, a peaceful spot to sip your morning coffee.

We utilize Superhog, a third-party service, for advanced guest screening and property damage protection. This service safeguards against property damage up to a specified limit.

The house looked similar to the pictures and was nicely decorated, with a cozy feel in a great neighborhood. That said, there were a number of small inconveniences that made the stay less comfortable than it could have been. For example, there were no washcloths/hand soap in the bathrooms, many of the doors stuck badly (to the point we sometimes needed a butter knife to open them), and there was only one roll of toilet paper provided in the toilets. The kitchen was also short on silverware—we ended up buying extra ourselves at Sainsbury’s, so hopefully future guests will have enough now.Overall, it was an okay stay—we did enjoy the space, but the property isn’t especially well maintained and was obviously run by a management business rather than a local host. With a bit more attention to stocking essentials and fixing basic issues, this could be a much more desirable place to stay.

+ Cottage very nice & very pleasant. We enjoyed this typical house in its quiet neighborhood - Some things to improve: Cleanliness: the towels were not very white, some had stains, same for some sheets. The windows were not clean, with spiders and cobwebs. There were quite a few small black flies — maybe think about treating the place between bookings. Also, maybe check the kitchen equipment — for example there were only two small spoons... Just a few suggestions.

The house was nice, beds were very comfortable and we loved that the kitchen doors opened to a lovely patio. However, the house was not equipt with essentials. I had to ask for several things such as garage bags, where to put the trash, etc. The cleaning staff came in our home while still staying to leave things and without our permission or knowledge. Communication was good. The team was responsive to us, but while the staff came in our home we never received the things we needed, such as the garbage bags. The stay was comfortable enough, should consider leaving a few comfort items such as dish soap, hand towels, enough forks, etc.

Not family friendly and inaccurate listing

This property was chosen because the amenities specifically included a baby cot and high chair. However, upon arrival it was clear that these amenities were not available and were “by request” despite nothing in the listing indicating this. Further, additional amenities were missing which were never resolved during our stay. The property is not safe for children. There is a majorly broken board on the back patio as well as other boards throughout that were breaking.

We had a wonderful stay! The house was clean and very comfortable for our family of four. It was very easy to get around and London. We also loved exploring the local restaurants and pubs. Would definitely stay here again.

North Kesington London stay

It was a good property. Spacious enough for 6 people. Me, my wife our 2 kids and my in-laws. The host was responsive and quickly got back to us when we had questions. All and all, I was happy with my experience there.

I have never needed to write a critical review before but feel I should warn people about this property. To start, we arrived to a dirty house, the cleaners arrived about the same time and therfore took over 3hrs. out of our stay. I was never offered a discount even though when I asked if we could check in 1hr. early , we were told we would have to pay 25 !!! The back door did not lock as there was no key. I got in touch with the rental agent and was not offered any assistance that evening. I was travelling with my son & family and he was very worried for the safety of his family. This caused a sleepless night & a terrible start to our vacation. The back deck had loose boards that gave way as you walked on it. The cleaner took note & said he would report the problem. The steep staircase has extra shallow treads( old house) and no hand railing which made it treacherous, especially with luggage. It looked nothing like the photos advertised. We made plans to leave in the morning & got another rental. I was refused, my money back for the remaining days and to add insult to injury I had also paid a damage deposit which I was refused as well. I truly can’t imagine the positive reviews are real. Be warned & stay away from this property.

Stylish

Very smart property. My bed was super comfortable and sheets crisp and clean. I thought there was a hot tub but there wasn’t. Bathroom needed more of a deeper clean like there was a huge dusty cobweb above the blind. We noticed lots of little flies in th kitchen area, but maybe they came in when the patio door was open… overall it was very nice. Communication with the management was excellent
