Luxury two bedroom family cottage

We are new to VRBO but have many fantastic reviews from happy guests who have stayed with us since we opened in 2021.

The Garden Cottage is detached property secluded in the grounds of a historic house in Little Tew, an idyllic hamlet on the edge of the Cotswolds. An 1hr30mins from London, we are close to all the best the Cotswolds has to offer:

3mins [or 20mins walk] to Soho Farmhouse and Great Tew
10mins to Chipping Norton , Diddly Squat farm shop, Blenheim Palace & Woodstock
20mins to Daylesford Organic
35mins to Oxford and Bicester Village

• Main bedroom - Top of the range Hypnos Emperor size bed [2mx2m], amazing 1000 thread count sheets from The White Company, Hungarian goose down Super-king size pillows, anti-allergy Square Pillows, anti-allergy Duvet, danish armchair, bedside tables, wardrobe with drawers.

BATHROOM

• Luxury Bathroom - huge Lefroy brook double ended bath, all Water Monopoly aged brass fittings, shower enclosure, enclosed toilet room, basin with concealed storage, shaver socket, White Company towels + two adult bathrobes, hair dryer, a full range of luxury ILA SPA toiletries are supplied for your use while at the property

KITCHEN + UTILITY

• Kitchen – fully equipped with Gaggenau Oven, Gaggenau Microwave, Gaggenau Hob and extractor, Slim dishwasher [tablets supplied], Lavazza coffee machine [10 capsules provided], milk frother, large fridge freezer with ice and filtered water, le Creuset cookware, compact food processor, Nutribullet, citrus juicer, mandolin, garlic press, can opener, knives + utensils, selection of cookbooks
• Dinging table - there is a dining table with four chairs in the main open plan room

on arrival you will find the Garden Cottage fairly well stocked: [please let us know in advance if you wish any of these items to be removed, or any specific dietary requirements and we do our best to accommodate]

• Breakfast: Butter, 6 eggs, bread, jam, honey, bacon, cereal, frozen pastries, baked beans, selection of tea bags [earl grey, chamomile, green tea], Lavazza coffee pods
• Drinks: Cow’s Milk, Almond Milk, sparkling & filtered water, our own apple juice, white wine, selection of mixed cocktails, lemons, limes
• Cupboard: herbs and spices, pasta, rice, olive oil, salt, pepper, sugar, sweetener, salted crisps, fruit yoyo’s, biscuits, tinned tomato’s

• Boot room – hooks, umbrellas and wellies provided in pretty much every size for children and adults
• Utility room - Bosch washing machine & dryer [washing tablets supplied], Iron, Ironing board, clothes rack

WORKING

• Desk area – there is a dedicated working area, with power sockets, ethernet and desk chair
• WIFI - 200mbps – data is via a hardwired optical link with a point-to-point back-up system.

LIVING

• Seating area - large luxurious mohair velvet George Smith 4-seater sofa, armchair and stools, 43”TV , wood burning stove
• Board games – monopoly, scrabble, uno, cards, bird bingo, chess, draughts and more
• Books - Children’s books + a selection of books for grown ups
• Music – B&O sound system in reception area
• TV – terrestrial TV, Apple TV, Netflix, Disney+

OUTSIDE

• Garden - the Garden Cottage sits in the middle of its own private gated garden of approximately 30m by 20m.
• Outdoor living – there is an outside dining area for up to 6 and egg BBQ, in summer there are also outside lounge chairs
• EV charger - there is a 13a EV charging point in the parking area
• Parking for 2 cars is on the right hand side of the main house, access to the Garden Cottage is via approximately 50m of gravelled foot path, there are no steps and its fairly flat – a 4 wheel trolley is available for guests to take luggage or shopping to the Cottage.

HEATING AND COOLING

• The Garden Cottage is brand new and extremely well insulated to retain warmth in winter and stay cool in summer, but it also has air conditioning in the main room over the summer months. The hot water and underfloor heating is from air-source heat pumps, so there is no fossil fuel combustion onsite and as soon as it is possible, we will be sourcing all electricity from renewables.

OCCUPANCY

• We love animals, but no pets are allowed at the Garden Cottage, and sorry but we don’t make any exceptions.
• The Garden Cottage is strictly for a maximum of 2 adults and 2 children [under 18] only, unless agreed in advance of booking, we can usually accommodate a third child depending on ages.
