Wonderful piece of property. You get the sunset and the sunrise Trevor was the best checking on us throughout the week. Will definitely be back next summer.

Ok for last minute change

Initially booked a different property and 1 day prior to check in we were notified that property was not available. The host then offered another property next door to the original home booked. The host was very accommodating and offered an earlier check in or late check out to compensate for the unexpected change. Upon checking in to the alternate home, was able to determine the home did not compare to the home originally booked. The alternate home was bigger however could use significant improvements. Certain plumbing fixtures did not work in the home. Guest toilet did not work and neither did the master bath tub. Outside view and lake access was superb.

Was Not the Same Property That It Was In the Listing!!! Unsafe and had a bad odor!

There was a huge lack of communication and a huge failure to deliver what was promised. Prior to arriving I was messaged by the host on Vrbo and told to text "Trevor" for check in information. So first, the host from the app was not the host I was communicating with. I texted the number and was told the key was hidden outside the door. When we arrived to the property, the location where we were told the key was did not exist. I texted the host and he told me that he forgot to let me know but we would not be staying in the property we booked, but the house next door. He said the house we booked had an unsafe dock and we could not stay there. He apologized and offered to let us stay another night or check out late, which I appreciated but it was not even on the same level as the house we thought we were booking. It was outdated, felt very lived in and quite a few things were broken. For example, the flooring was coming apart and several chairs were broken. The screened in porch had multiple screens busted in and the condition of the deck and the upstairs deck felt very unsafe. This house needed A LOT of maintenance. I am not sure how the other house's dock was unsafe and this one was because it felt very unsafe. Part of the railing was missing and boards were rotten. The tap water was yellow when we got there but after talking to the host, he said we had to let it run and it cleared that up. But after that I never heard from the host again. I am VERY disappointed and angry.

Unbelievably beautiful

There was a hiccup with our reservation, but Trevor was on top of it! Our location and home were absolutely incredible! The views were spectacular and I was able to cook everything I cook at home, thanks to the well stocked kitchen. Beds were comfy too! Plenty of blankets and little extras to make us feel at home. Our thanksgiving was amazing.

Weekend get away

Sunrises we absolutely amazing to watch and the view was amazing! We loved that this property was pet friendly and we were able to have our dog with us. We enjoyed the boat dock and having our boat there each day and fishing off the dock at night. The kitchen had lots of seating and was well stocked with things to cook with. The bed room set up was perfect for sleeping arrangements. The only con would be that there wasn't alot of seating outside because alot of the chairs on the dock were damaged and the beach area needed some TLC (alot of trash and sticks were washed up) but we understood because there had been flooding from recent storms. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back for another weekend in the future.

Great location home needs care

Pros: location, boat ramp on site, dock, allowed our dogs, no fleas, AC worked great, WiFi worked for our devices, plenty of space, home very close to sand bar, hot water, power at dock when we found the cord that was unplugged. Cons: pots/ pans were in a state of disrepair, screen porch door was off the hinges and laying on side, porch screens were tore up, walls were damaged in every room some patched with duct tape, sliding door to screen area was about unusable so once we set the screen door back in place and taped all the tears in screens difficult to get out there, roaches in master bath area had to go to store and get insecticide which solved that, mouse feces in closet, master toilet ran all the time, all but one smoke detector was broken and in the laundry area cupboard, kitchen sink pipe leaked and previous repair by with a zip tie failed so put a pot under to catch the water, Keurig was nasty so we bought a coffee maker, TV signal didn’t work and required network for on demand but it wouldn’t connect via WiFi; fortunately I carry an Ethernet cable and direct connected. If steps and electrical to dock aren’t repaired soon only way to access will be to swim over. Ladder from water to dock not connected and unsafe. Overall not the worst but knowing the cons would have helped us level set our expectations and items we would bring.

Absolutely Wonderful

This home was amazing and exceeded our expectations. Staying here was wonderful and Trevor is such a great person. We enjoyed every moment of our weekend staying in this beautiful lake home. Georgeous views from every room, the home was clean, spacious, comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed. The property was peaceful and relaxing, and the views are amazing. The dock was awesome, water is deep so the kids loved swimming & jumping off the dock. We used the boat and had a blast exploring the lake and tubing. Trevor was the best host you could possibly ask for, he made our trip so much more enjoyable... he is the BEST !!!! Thank you Trevor and your beautiful family for an awesome stay! We will definitely be back without a doubt.

Great location

We had a great time at this house. Great location and easy access. The only complaint I have is that there were a good many roaches on the screened in porch at night and the yard people came to do the grass on Saturday morning. Not a horrible inconvenience but a little annoying. Other wise it was a great weekend! Will definitely keep it in mind for future stays.

Great location on the lake!

Couldn’t have picked a better location to enjoy a few summer lake days. Lots of areas to enjoy outside on and around the property. Nice swings with some TLC would be added bonus to utilize. Nice dock to sit out and enjoy the lake view and watch the boat. Cottage was cute and plenty of room. Some of the pics may be outdated; color of house is a nice aqua not green; for reference when looking for your location. Inside is clean; not 5 star hotel clean if you’re use to that. Some areas could use some TLC for safety. Love that it’s a pet friendly rental! Just note that there is carpet in the bedrooms; so Fido will sniff out what can’t be seen… would be great with flooring extended from the living area to those rooms. Beautiful lake views from inside! Communication prior was timely for arrival.

Family vacation

The owner was very responsive and available for questions. Location excellent for swimming, boating, and fishing and overall relaxation. We ate dinners on screened porch each evening and enjoyed sunrise in the early morning while sitting on the two story dock. Beautiful sunrise view. Lots of birds and wildlife. Wonderful week of family memories made. Paddle boat was available but we did not use this, grandchildren a little too young. Would definitely consider this lovely home again. The dock gave nice shady coverage for our boat which allowed seats to stay cool during heat of the day and gave grandkids a place to get out of the water and sun for a break. More than enough towels available and washer & dryer great to have on hand. Again, home matched well with our vacation needs. Thank you for enjoyable week

The View is amazing

Could be cleaner especially the bathroom floor and wall in the master bath. There was a red stain on wall that appeared to be blood and the rug on the floor had a strong urine odor. Had a lot of water bugs on the porch outside at night but they seemed to be slow so I knew they sprayed. My favorite swing was broke outside. It just needs a little TLC. Still love it and would go back. The garbage you have needs to be disposed of at the recycling center and they are closed on Mondays that is the day we left. We had to take the garbage with us and dispose of it at home. I didn't pay attention to the framed paper beside the stove stating the hours they were open and that they are closed on Mondays. So if you depart on a Monday make sure you take your garbage on Sunday.

Beautiful lake views

We truly enjoyed the lake views from inside and on the porch, amazing!! The sandy beach was a nice surprise and perfect for our pup. Trevor and his assistant, Ambie, were very responsive and addressed our questions right away. It was a great, relaxing weekend!

Finally; we have found our perfect spot!

Words can not describe how welcome my wife and I felt here at Birds Island Rd Cherry point! What a welcome; what a welcome gift left on bathroom counter, what a functional home, kitchen and outdoors! The master bed was so comfortable and we normally don’t find this anywhere! The air worked great! The home is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy time with nature and your loved ones! I enjoyed the beautiful sunrise and sunsets! We loved the convenience having the pontoon boat at the dock to use when we wanted to. Trevor and his assistant was so responsive and friendly. We have returned for a back to back weekend stay and will surely return for many more vacations with Trevor’s properties. We feel like family that has the most warm welcome when we book with Trevor. Thank you for opening your beautiful homes on the beautiful point of Wateree!

House on the Lake

The interior and fixtures are all a bit dated l, and some areas could have used a good scrub. However, the location is gorgeous, there was room for our family and we had just about everything we needed for our stay. The beautiful screen in porch allows you to enjoy the views of the lake rain or shine!

Great Lake views - house need some TLC

The lake views are beautiful, however the house needs a lot of work. We found it overall dirty and grimy, including the porch furniture. Cobwebs, bugs. The door and walls need a fresh coat of paint. The towel had stains from previous guests, and need to be replaced. Missing a smoke detector in main living space, master was only a queen bed, not king as listed. Used bar of soap in master bath. Maybe this is lake living, but not what we expected. Hopefully things will be addressed before the next guest. Overall great views, but house not VRBO ready.
