Also, home to the Merchant’s House, a charming 17th century dwelling adorning a wealth of period features, the town is steep in history; those interested in history will also enjoy visiting St Peter's Church, complete with an arts centre and café. There are also some excellent walking and cycling trails in the area, including Savernake Forest, resting within the North Wessex Downs AONB, whilst those interested in Jazz music will enjoy visiting the annual International Jazz Festival, organised over a weekend each July.
