Jewel of the Mosel, Townhouse in central Zell, beautiful Mosel views

Enjoy the full beauty of the Mosel river from direct views out of all front windows and balcony. Our Jewel of the Mosel townhouse is spread across 5 floors, giving commanding views from all levels. It is an ideal base for families and groups with the wide selection of sleeping arrangements which it offers. Everyone can come together in the very large kitchen/dining room or 'do their own thing' on other floors of the house. Be aware there are lots of stairs though - making the house exciting for children to explore!

Relax and sit watching the barges, river cruise ships and pleasure boats passing your windows and balcony on the Mosel. Step outside and board one of these for a trip to nearby Cochem or Traben Trabach. Sit outside under grape vines on the promenade or wander the streets of the town - all criss crossed by vines. Stroll up into the vineyards behind the house for magnificent views, or for the more energetic take well marked Nordic walking routes. There are even dog walks marked out by paw prints, and we are very pet friendly!

Enjoy sampling the famous wines from the local vineyards - you are sure to take home some bottles of the famous Zeller Schwarze Katz!

The house is well equipped and furnished so even on a rainy day you would be happy indoors (if you had not chosen to explore the exciting museums of Roman Trier!)

The property comprises of 250 sq metres of living space!

Lage sehr gut, Kommunikation mit der Verwaltung super, sehr hilfsbereitLeider einige Kleinigkeiten auf die nicht soviel Wert gelegt wird. Die beeinträchtigen aber nicht den Aufenthalt. Sonst wäre es perfekt!

Es ist eine schöne Unterkunft, gerade für größere Gruppen.Mittendrin in Zell und eine super Aussicht auf die Mosel.Wir waren eine Truppe von 8 Männern, die die Umgebung von Zell an der Mosel genossen haben.Jeder hatte sein eigenes Zimmer.Es hat eigentlich an nichts gefehlt.Zum Thema Sauberkeit:Den oberen Kühlschrank mussten wir erstmal kurz sauberwischen und eine Toilette war etwas verschmutzt.Alles in allem Ok.

Im Haus selber war ich enttäuscht, dass nicht genau beschrieben wurde. , dass es über vier Etagen geht. Auf jede Etage ein Zimmer natürlich mit Badezimmer und Toilette. Auf dem Bett lag ein Bettbezug und ein Handtuch. Es gab kein Info das unten im Bettkasten Handtücher und Bettwäsche ist, die Küche war toll Alles was man so brauchte, war da Parkplätze vorhanden. Das hieß das draußen auf dem Parkplatz kostenlose Parkplätze gab weit weg vom Haus. Bei Anreise die Kommunikation war schwer. Die Dame sprach gebrochen, deutsch. bei Abreise. Haben wir auf Verwalter gewartet kam aber keiner. Ich musste wieder die Eigentümerin anrufen und fragen, wohin mit dem Schlüssel. Übrigens, ich habe auch keine E-Mail bekommen vor der Anreise alles in einem war nicht so, wie ich mir vorgestellt habe.

Gezellig met de groep. Je kan leuk buiten zitten, maar ook binnen genoeg ruimte. Onze groep bestond uit 12. Wel veel trappen, voor mensen die slecht te been zijn wat lastiger.

Schöne Lage, aber deutliche Hygienemängel

Die Unterkunft liegt sehr schön, die Wohnung ist gut geschnitten und hat grundsätzlich viel Potenzial. Leider war die Sauberkeit bei unserer Ankunft nicht wie erwartet: In vielen Ecken waren Spinnenweben und Staub, neben und unter den Betten wurde offenbar länger nicht gereinigt, und das Bad im 1. Stock war ebenfalls nicht wirklich sauber, weshalb wir es kaum genutzt haben. Die Klobürsten waren deutlich verdreckt und wurden ganz offensichtlich schon länger nicht mehr ausgetauscht, was wirklich unhygienisch und eklig ist. Ein weiterer großer Minuspunkt war die Kaffeekanne, die innen verschimmelt war – als Gruppe von Kaffeetrinkern war das sehr ärgerlich. Beim Aufräumen und Entsorgen des Mülls am Abreisetag bemerkten wir, dass es unter den Mülleimern klebrig und schmutzig ist, dort lag verschimmelter Müll, der definitiv nicht von uns stammte. Das hat den Gesamteindruck weiter verschlechtert.Zu dem Haus (bestehend aus 2 Wohnungen) gibt es 1 Garage. Wer zuerst anreist, der bekommt die Garage. Dies ist irreführend und sollte in der Unterkunftsbeschreibung vielleicht ergänzt werden. Positiv zu erwähnen ist der Balkon mit Markise und die bequemen Betten. Außerdem war der Kontakt zur Vermieterin über die App freundlich und super schnell. Nach unserer Rückmeldung hat sie sehr verständnisvoll reagiert und die Reinigungsgebühr von sich aus erstattet. Lage & Aufbau der Wohnung sind wirklich top, mit einer deutlich gründlicheren Reinigung wäre es eine empfehlenswerte Unterkunft.

Jewel of the Mosel is a spacious, well cleaned, cosy and vwey well-equiped appartment. The view from the balcony is absolutely magnificent.The beds may be hard for some people, we slept very well in them.Plus are the toilet and bathroom on each floor.Communication with Barbara Houghton is excellent. She responded fast and adequtely too our questions.Traffic in front of the building can be experienced as "ok, it's there" , but dies out in the evening. From the balcony we found it absolutely not to be a nuisance or inconvenience.So does the murmur (no audible music) from the bars and small terraces on the backside. Zell sleeps early. After 0:00 it is just quiet.The garage can fit only 1 car and is shared with other inhabitants of the building. ( 2 appartments.) A surprise to both us and the other inhabitants. Fortunately parking on the boulevard is cheap (payed from 8:00 to 18:00), or free parking is just a few minutes on foot.Well, this all sounds very positive, doesn't it? Well, if I may make one reservation: the cannabis plantage on the adjacent balcony. Occassionaly a dash of it's odeur blows over. Fortunatley during our stay the wind mostly blew the smell away. All in all, we can certainly recommend Jewel of the Mosel.

Mit Freunden feiern

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in der Ferienunterkunft und in Zell. Das Haus mit zwei Küchen, zwei Balkonen, sechs Schlafzimmer und zig Badezimmern hatte für uns acht die richtige Größe. Die Wege zu Restaurants und auf das Weinfest von Zell waren super kurz. Der Blick auf die Mosel ist spektakulär. Wir haben das Haus gut vorbereitet und sauber vorgefunden.

Misled!

I have never written a poor review on any house. However, I can’t ignore this.Our group was on an 8-country road trip. We picked properties that had washing machines listed. We needed to wash clothes because we are away for 3 weeks. No washer in the unit we rented! We had to call the “house manager” who then opened the door to an adjoining property that did have a washer. The listing was false! Additionally, the place was not clean. Dust on and behind furniture. I actually am requesting refund for one night. You have taken a great location and let the property go.

Juwel of the Mosel

Die Unterkunft war wie beschrieben. Selbst der Blick vom Balkon war genau so. Betten und Bäder und Fußböden waren von guter Qualität. Fenster sehr gut.Platz ohne Ende, allerdings auf mehrere Etagen verteilt. Man vertut sich anfangs schon mal in der Etage.Die Lage ist einfach perfekt, mitten drin.Die Kommunikation mit der Verwaltung war vorbildlich.

Zell ist immer wieder eine Reise wert (erst recht in einer so schönen Ferienwohnung)…

Wir hatten mit 7 Personen einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt in einer tollen und sehr gut ausgestatteten Wohnung. Absolut empfehlenswert, wir kommen gerne wieder. Die Lage ist wirklich super.

Super Aufenthalt

Ein tolles Haus mitten an der Uferpromenade von Zell. Wir waren als Familie dort um die goldene Hochzeit meiner Eltern zu feiern und hatten genug Raum und Beschäftigung für die Kinder. Gleichzeitig eine super Küche, mit der wir ein tolles Menü zaubern könnten. Alles in Allem hat es uns sehr gut gefallen und wir können es nur empfehlen. Der Kontakt zu den Vermietern lief auch sehr gut. Vielen Dank

Wochenende an der Mosel

Wir waren mit 8 Personen für 3 Nächte in dem zentral gelegenen Haus. Sehr gut ausgestattet(es fehlt nur ein Brotmesser), wundervoller Ausblick. Gerne wieder.

Super Lage

Wir waren mit der gesamten Familie für 2 Übernachtungen in dieser Unterkunft. Die Küche ist super ausgestattet - Besteck, Teller, Tassen, von allem ist genug und ausreichend da. Die Unterkunft hat viele Ebenen und einige Bäder, so dass wir immer ausreichend Platz hatten.Dorelt am
