Fun and authentic with beautiful views!

We had a great time staying here in Cefalú! Giuseppe and Mima were wonderful hosts and helped us find the location by car. There are beautiful views and sunsets and we had everything we needed. Also a great location walking distance to everything!

A lovely apartment with spectacular view

This was our second stay at this lovely apartment . Beautiful views and close to all the attractions of Cefalu. We loved watching the sunset from the terrace . The owners are lovely and helpful . A fabulous holiday !

The best in Cefalu

It's located right in the heart of the old town, and having a large private rooftop with an amazing view was truly wonderful. The room had everything we needed, and the host was very kind and welcoming, even though we don't speak Italian. Absolutely recommended.

Great terrace! Location perfect

Wonderful, large rooftop terrace. Very clean and furnished appropriately. Yes there are plenty of stairs which is tricky in the heat but otherwise very centrally located. Kitchen has all the necessities. Overall good value.

Perfect stay in Cefalu!

We loved every moment of our stay here. Perfect location in the centre of Old Town, a few minutes from the train station. The roof terrace had the most beautiful view of the city and sea below. It felt very secluded and peaceful. The bedrooms are large and spotlessly clean. And our hosts were gracious and kind, thank you again for a lovely stay. We will definitely be back.

Fabulous holiday in beautiful Cefalu

We had such a fantastic holiday in Giuseppe’s apartment in Cefalu. It’s close to all the fabulous restaurants and beach. The pictures really don’t do the terrace justice. So gorgeous watching the sun set over the sea. Giuseppe and his wife were very helpful and generous. We will return with our children.

Perfect Stay

This was an amazing property. Perfect views of the ocean and mountains. If you're looking for a place to relax among perfect scenery this is for you! There are a lot of steps to the building and also to the top floor (where the rental is) The property manager is respectful and everything was clean and ready for us upon arrival. We felt so safe and comfortable!

lovely terrace

The large terrace overlooking the sea and sunset was the highlight.Be warned that if you walk from the station through the town there is a very steep hill with steps to climb to the property, and then three flights of stairs inside to reach the apartment.A few more basics such as washing up liquid and a pack of bottled water would have been appreciated as it was quite a walk to the supermarket.

Fantastic stay with wonderful hosts

We had a wonderful stay with Guiseppe and his lovely wife. The place was exactly what we expected but even better location than I imagined. At the foot of the Rocca and minutes from the Duomo. The hosts had fresh local biscottis for us which were amazing and so thoughtful. Although we spoke very little Italian and they no English, we managed to communicate our needs and questions via google translate. If we are ever in Cefalu again, we would stay here happily.

Fantastic apartment…..but the steps & stairs

Lived up to the online description. Amazing view and great private patio and outdoor kitchen with everything you need. Comfortable beds and a lovely spotlessly clean bathroom. Right in the centre of all the shops and cafes with only a short walk to the beachfront & promenade with fantastic reasonably priced restaurants. So overall a great place. BUT be aware the steps up to the apartment with luggage will absolutely test your fitness !! Firstly there are about 20 steps to the apartment building, THEN inside 2 flights of stairs plus a set of iron fire escape stairs - but so worth it when you get there! Just pack lighter than we did!!

The View!

Great view that is everything. This was the perfect spot for the middle of our Italy trip where we wanted to relax some. Spent most of the afternoons enjoying the view while reading. Even with the weather a little warm, there was still a nice breeze most of the time so was perfect in the shade. Close to everything in Cefalu. Would definitely go back but would pack a little lighter for all the stairs. Small issue with the number of guests that showed up through the VRBO reservation but was quickly and easily resolved with the owners.

This is a cute apartment perched high up on a hill with dramatic panoramic views of the city, the sea and La Rocca from the huge patio. It looks just as pictured, even better at sunset. The hosts, Mima and Giuseppi, are sweet as can be and eager to help. They don't speak English, but Mima is good with Google Translate. The apartment is clean as a whistle and well-stocked with basic essentials. You should be in decent physical condition as the home is at the top of a long and steep hill, and then once at the building there are 49 steps up to the apartment. Putting that aside, if you pack light (unlike me) it won't be a big problem and the views make the climb worth it. It's a 2 minute walk to the action and 8 minute walk to the train station (get a taxi arriving, though, as the walk is uphill). My taxi driver could not find/get to the exact address so I was a little lost when I arrived but eventually I found it. All in all a nice stay with lovely hosts and highly recommended.

Unbelievably Beautiful

I thought the photos perhaps were taken from a clever angle but no, the terrace really is huge (about 400 square feet!) with a fantastic al fresco kitchen, table for six, comfy lounge chairs and that million dollar view. Just steps from the Duomo and all the restaurants and shops of the historic town center, and in the other direction just steps from the entrance to the park where well built steps allow a climb to the very top of the old fortress. Incredible! Plan to buy charcuterie and wine and have late lunches "at home", the breeze and views can't be beat! Very gracious hosts, easy check in and check out. A truly magnificent stay.

View from the terrace September 2018

This place was very nice. Clean you could eat off the floor. The Taranto’s were very nice people who did not speak English or French but we managed to understand each other. The terrace was so welcoming and had a lovely breeze where we relaxed after being in the hot sun all day. The bedroom was very comfortable and the outside kitchen was an inviting place to make food if we felt like it. Just better pillows on the bed would have made a big difference. I can recommend this little gem of a place. Would like to go back with my family.

"Great Location, Views and Accomodations"

This property is very centrally located, has amazing views and was a very comfortable place for our family. The apartment was very well maintained and spotlessly clean. Giuseppe and his wife were very nice and even though we did not speak Italian they were very understanding and eager to helps with our inquires. They were very thoughtful in welcoming us by having candies and wine for us. We had an impressive view of the sea, town, and right behind the apartment "The Rocca". The bedrooms were spacious each one with their own tv and Fridge. The kitchen was very well equipped. We truly enjoy our stay in this property and if we go back to Cefalu we will not hesitate to rent it again. Thanks, Giuseppe and Mima for your Hospitality.

Wonderful week in a lovely well equipped and spotless apartment

After getting over the shock of climbing lots of steps with heavy suitcases (yes we packed too much) we realised we were literally on the roof of a block of flats with the most wonderful view of Cefalù. We were a little worried about the rooms as they didn’t have windows but they didn’t need them as the covered terrace gave a sense of being in the open without being exposed at all. Even when there was an incredible thunderstorm which we watched in awe as it headed towards us we stayed dry and warm. The apartment is in the centre of the old town and ideally located for the beach, town and climbing the Rocca. Because we were so high up the noise was a minimum and limited to seagulls house martins and mountain goats! The hosts have made it very comfortable with everything you need for a lovely stay. Thanks so much - we will be back!

Lovely penthouse apartment in Cefalu

Although a bit challenging to locate by car, this apartment is in a perfect location. Old town is accessible by foot down a short set of stairs. If you enjoy hiking, you can access the beginning of the La Rocca trail almost immediately behind the apartment. The hike is well worth it! There are great views at the summit. The accommodations are very clean and comfortable and Giuseppe and his wife are very kind. The highlight is the large terrace overlooking most of Cefalu. The kitchen is outdoors on the terrace. The bathroom is also on the terrace, outside the bedroom. Parking is not available at the property. However, you can park 10 minutes away by foot in the lot at the train station. The cost is 1 Euro per hour. If you decide to stay at this property, take into consideration that you must climb two flights of stairs to get to the apartment. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this rental property.
