Quinta do Mundo - Charming farm house with jacuzzi and private pool!

Do you like the idea of chilling out at an Ibiza style pool? Or sitting on the veranda of a Swiss chalet? Having dinner in a chic French restaurant, sleeping under an Asian canopy bed, try your cooking skills in a Michelin star kitchen, taking a shower in your five star luxury designed bathroom or wandering around in a secret garden or through endless hillside in the Algarvian Serra?



This is all possible in Quinta do Mundo!



The French owner travelled the world as a private chef. He brought all of his treasures, his experience and his taste for styling to this beautiful spot hidden in the Algarve, 35 minutes from the airport of Faro. He created an incredibly charming place where you feel completely relaxed and welcomed. Here you can enjoy a real Holiday!



The main house has 2 very nicely decorated bedrooms with double beds. Both rooms have air conditioning and a luxurious en-suite bathroom. There is a great (professional) kitchen with views to the pool and the hills. The inside dining room next to the kitchen is directly connected by double patio doors to the large pool terrace. Behind the dining table is a smaller area with a cosy fireplace and where you can relax on the sofa or watch TV (satellite incl. ENG, FR, SP, PT, NL, GE).



The surprise house is the separate Chalet. This very chic, tastefully designed studio house next to the main house has a sitting area with TV (French satellite), a separate space with fridge and oven/microwave, a double bed and a big luxurious bathroom. If you open the terrace doors you will look straight to the hills from your bed. And that’s not even the best part. That’s the veranda of the chalet, where you can endlessly read, drink a glass of wine or dream away, overlooking the hills and completely forget about time. The chalet has a reversible air conditioning and the walls are well insulated to keep the warmth out (or the cold in winter).



Outside

In between the 2 houses is a shaded bar area with a Jacuzzi for more relaxing time. The large pool and pool deck above is completely Ibiza style, and shouts “Holiday” all over. Again the views are amazing. Left of the pool deck is the outside kitchen with electric barbecue. Of course there are enough sun beds for everyone and you can eat together at the table outside the main house or under the covered pergola at the pool.



Surroundings

The drive from the airport Faro to Quinta do Mundo is only 35 minutes. The house is conveniently located on a quit road in the hills. You have a few neighbours around, and 3 minutes by car is Salir, a town where you have 2 supermarkets, ATM, pharmacy and some restaurants. A 10 min. drive brings you to another great restaurant and the large town Loulé is only 15 min. drive. This town with historical center and the monumental market is lovely and lively, especially in summer. São Bras de Alportel is a 20 min. scenery drive on the heritage national road N2 (like route 66 in the USA) and also has some nice restaurants, supermarkets etc. The very small town of Querença is 5 min. away. The square is a little treasure and nice to have a drink or lunch.



Want to go to the beach? All beaches between Albufeira and Fuseta in the east can be reached within 30-40 minutes, via very beautiful sightseeing drives.



Remarks

This is an original farmers house. All of the rooms and the outside areas including the pool have been renovated to a very high standard. It’s located in the country and there is a pretty good WiFi connection especially in the main house. The owner asks you to be conscious with the use of aircon and electricity to be as sustainable as possible.
