Open Plan Kitchen / Lounge / Diner

Fully equipped kitchen with oven, stove, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, cutlery and dining and cooking essentials.

Tea towels, J cloth, sponge, washing up liquid, antibacterial surface spray, hand wash, dishwasher tablets and a starter kitchen roll are provided.

The lounge features an electric fire, Smart TV and sliding doors which step out onto the decked terrace with dining furniture and steps down to the garden and waters edge.

Mooring and Parking

Private quay headed mooring at the end of the garden. Use of slipway at our marina on request. Please advise if you are bringing a boat.

Private Parking x 3 cars.

Dog Friendly Holidays

Our lodges are pet friendly, we charge £30 per pet. Maximum of 2 dogs.

Cot and highchair on request.
Shed with fish bait fridge and 2 x recliner sun loungers.
Fishing only permitted in open season. A rod license is required.
The terrace edge is open and there is a 1 foot gap from the ground to the bottom of the terrace trellis (see property photo) due to it being elevated as many properties are on the Broads - please bear this in mind if bringing dogs or children.
Please note that there is an unfenced river at the end of the garden.

Only thing I suggest is the balcony needs a proper safety rail there's a 4 foot drop, with only a wire cable a child could easily fall through it

Another great holiday

Had another great stay at River View. We went for my wife's special Birthday to a place she loves. I took my small fishing boat and launched it using NHL'S own slipway which is very handy for all the properties. ( I am lucky that the wife also loves fishing ). The large front garden also gives me a safe place to park my trailer. And the river side garden is somewhere we love to sit in the evening after fishing. The boat is moored on the river at the well maintained landing. Inside is just as advertised clean ,comfortable and generally well set out. And the personal touch for my wife's special birthday was much appreciated by us both.

The only issue we had was the toilet the system took forever to refill and we had to use a bucket

We had a fantastic time the accommodation was perfect and it was very peaceful surroundings, the weather was perfect the fishing was great we will be back again next year i had just lost my mum the week before we came away. It was a lovely place to reflect on my mum.

Perfect accommodation and location

Our second year staying at River View and we have already booked again for next year. The property is in excellent condition and the location is perfect, with plenty of off road parking and the River Yare at the bottom of the garden. The patio doors, windows and riverside decking had all been renewed since our last stay. The fishing isn't easy but still managed some nice Bream in the 4 to 5lb bracket.

A relaxing break

An excellent property. Very well presented. Immaculately clean and was perfect for the holiday we were looking for. So much so that we really didn’t venture out on too many days as there was always something to watch from the garden view. Loved it and would love to go back soon

Beautiful ideally located riverside accommodation

Spent a week here in May and was really impressed. House is beautifully positioned on the river, well laid out to make the best of the river view spotlessly clean. We really appreciated the little doggy basket with blankets, treats and even a toy for our pooch. Thoroughly enjoyed being there.

Clean, comfortable and well-equipped lodge. The location is beautiful, right on the river. The view from the lounge, terrace and garden couldn’t be better. We took our own kayak and lauched very easily from the jetty. The river is very quiet and peaceful in the evenings. My husband did some fishing most evenings. There are plenty of fish in the river but catching them isn’t easy!We were nervous about our little dog jumping in the river as there is no barrier on the jetty or the terrace & the river is tidal so can be flowing quite strongly. We took a long line of rope to ensure that she could run around but couldn’t jump in. She loved watching all the river life, as did we. We appreciated the doggy welcome basket and there was a pint of milk in the fridge as well as tea, coffee and biscuits which was a nice surprise.We loved our stay and would definitely come back again.

All good location and lodge but alas no fish so won’t be returning

My husband and son not impressed as no fish but lodge was great but the point is that’s why they chose this lodge for the fishing

Wonderful retreat

If you need to relax and watch the world go by on the water this is the place. Lots of bird life, Marsh harriers, Grebes, swans and garden birds.

Our summer break!

This is our second time at the cottage and it delivers on all aspects for an ideal holiday by the river in Norfolk (shame about the weather) Tina is a first class holiday manager.

Lovely lodge

We had a great week here and the reason I have given 4 for location is that the local area for dog walking is very limited. We loved watching the river activity and the garden and decking were ideal. Tina was extremely friendly and helpful.
