De Cutlar Lodge se encuentra en su propio terreno ajardinado, en el corazón de Orroland Estate, que goza de unas vistas panorámicas de la Isla de Man y las colinas Cumberland. Es propiedad vecina más cercana está a unos 3 minutos a pie. Cutlar's está a tiro de piedra del prado de flores silvestres y del lago privado con pabellón.

Muchos de nuestros huéspedes son parejas que disfrutan de mucho espacio y un precio especial para 2.

De Cutlar Lodge cuenta con 3 dormitorios, con capacidad para 6 personas (1 doble, 2 individuales), dentro de sus muros únicos y confortables. Una buena noche de descanso está asegurado en la parte superior de la gama de camas Hypnos. Hay un dormitorio en la planta baja, junto al baño compartido.

Una chimenea da vida a la sala de estar con una cocina moderna pero en armonía con el ambiente tradicional de la casa. La ventana de la cocina da a la pradera de flores silvestres y un lavaplatos garantiza que solo pasará un tiempo agradable en este lugar.

Un comedor separado da una sensación de espacio.

Desde el porche podrás relajarte y disfrutar de las vistas a lo largo de la Solway Firth hacia el Distrito de los Lagos y la Isla de Man. Usted está a tiro de piedra del lago privado con su pabellón peculiar y que está a unos 15 minutos a pie de la costa rocosa con aguas expansivas calentadas por la corriente del Golfo. Hay piscinas de roca para explorar, cascadas para descubrir y grandes rocas planas que constituyen una base excelente para un picnic.

Another relaxing stay in Orroland

We have been coming to Orroland for 21 years and it never fails to deliver. Even though we didn't have the best weather we still managed to have a much needed relaxing break with a few great walks in between the rain. The cottage was, as always, clean and comfortable with everything we needed provided. We can't wait to go back again

Beautiful Cottage in Serene Surroundings

Second time at Cutlar’s Lodge and we loved it just as much as the first time around. Not the cheapest place to stay but I’m a firm believer that you get what you pay for and for us that’s the absolute tranquility you get a Orroland. A genuine feeling of relaxation with some absolutely stunning scenery and wildlife literally outside the door. Accessible for nearby villages and towns and the lodge itself is clean, well stocked, well organised with some stunning artwork to boot. Highly recommend the place and we will return in the future.

A stunning rural retreat

Had a fantastic stay at this beautiful holiday cottage. Set near the coast with fresh air, lovely gardens, and a tranquil lake, it was the perfect place to unwind. The cottage is tastefully decorated, incredibly comfortable, and extremely well equipped—everything you could possibly need was right there. The bed was super comfy, and every detail made it feel like a real home away from home. We left feeling refreshed and already planning next visit!

Beautiful but horrible horse flies.

This is a lovely part of the world and a beautiful estate to stay in. Secluded gardens and great space for our dogs. Unfortunately, going in July meant that we were constantly attacked by midges and hose flies. Around the lake it was unbearable and even walking up the road of an evening was pretty dreadful. They just ruined our stay.

The wildflower meadow is an incredible habitat for birds and all kinds of pollinators including butterflies and bees; a bee expert came and identified 9 different types of bees! This month horseflies have also been present and we're truly sorry to hear that your stay was significantly impacted by them in the evenings. We understand how frustrating and uncomfortable this must have been, and we sincerely apologize that these pests detracted from your overall experience. We hope that despite this, you were still able to enjoy some aspects of your time with us, as you did on your first visit.

Beautifully peaceful

We had an extremely peaceful and enjoyable stay at Cutlars Lodge. The house was immaculate and very comfortable. We and our dog had the most amazing walks and found all the area to be perfect. We will definitely return.

A great family break

We have just had a wonderful break staying in Cutlar’s Lodge. The house is in a fabulous location with stunning grounds to enjoy. The perfect 'home from home ' experience with exceptional surroundings and wonderfully peaceful location. Cutler's Lodge is ideal for a stress free holiday. Long walks amongst the immaculately maintained gardens which emerge from a pretty wooded walk onto the sea shore. Log fire and everything at hand to ensure the best, relaxing holiday you would ever need.

Lovely cottage in the countryside

Thank you so much for the stay in Cutlars lodge. It was a wonderful cottage in a beautiful location. We particularly enjoyed the access to the coastline. We had a problem with a wasp's nest which was sorted out exceptionally quickly- thank you! We would definitely visit again in the future.

Peaceful holiday

We have enjoyed a September break in this lovely, peaceful place with artistic landscaped grounds that lead down to a dramatic coastline; it has much appeal for lovers of walks, nature and wildlife. The cottage is warm, spacious and comfortable, and many people, like us, return to holiday there again. It is alao a good base for exploring this unique area of Scotland.

Wonderful week in Orroland

We had a wonderful week in this magical place. There really is something for everyone here from the beautiful grounds to the comfortable accommodation. We had to make a few changes to our arrival time and Melinda and Sarah could not have been more helpful. The peace and tranquillity of this magical place are just what we needed after a really stressful time. highly recommended.

Well equiped and comfortable

Cutlars Lodge is well equiped and maintained to a high standard and it is in a delightful and peacefull setting. Our weather was rather cool and changeable so it was good to come back to somewhere warm and comfortable. Fiona and Bob (the housekeeper and gamekeeper) could not have been more welcoming and helpful. We hope to return soon!

It would be great to see you both again later in the year when there will be a noticeable change in the wildlife habitat for you to photograph. Do remember that you won't need to bring your “cottage set up” box of goodies, as like you mention there is everything you need at Cutlar's Lodge! I hope you loaded up the log fire, used an abundance of the free firewood and kindling provided and twiddled the thermostat so you could enjoy the unlimited central heating when indoors. We enjoyed showing you all the best wildlife spots at Orroland and look forward to more outdoor expeditions with you both. Fiona and Bob

Fantastic Family Weekend

Our four day stay began with the warm welcome of cake and fresh flowers. The spotless Cutlar's Cottage was perfect for our family break, The comfy ground floor twin room next to the beautiful bathroom suited Granda to a T, a travel cot and high chair was provided for the baby, the kitchen with all mod cons was perfect and the snooker/table tennis room was a bonus. The grounds provide plenty of opportunity for a stroll - even in the rain, and the walks to the beach and around the surrounding countryside were not too taxing. All in all a lovely place to stay.

Fabulous Break

Excellent week at Orroland where both the accommodation and the estate were brilliant. We love this area of Scotland and it's great to know that gems like this exist. The lodge is especially good for dog lovers with fantastic walks right from the door and a huge variety of walks just a short drive away. Orroland is only 15 minutes drive away from both Kirkcudbright and Castle Douglas and only half an hour from the Galloway Forest Park (for dark skies experience). Thoroughly recomment Orroland for all lovers of peace and quiet.

Xmas at Orroland

A fabulous cottage in beautiful grounds. Warm and comfortable. A warm welcome with thoughtful xmas goodies. Home made mince pies, seasonal hamper of jam, pickle, cheese, chocolates and wine. Decorated xmas tree and floral arrangement . Owners thought of everything. A very nice walk to the shore and lake. Would like to return in the summer.
