Apartment Description.
Located on the ground floor of a typical Bolognese palace, dating back to the second half of the 16th century, in a perfect location between Via delle Belle Arti and Viale Irnerio, in the heart of the center of Bologna university area. The facade of the building is one of the most remarkable elements of the entire square. The decoration of the walls consists of beautiful paintings depicting allegorical illustrations, putti, flowers, arabesques and plant elements. In this neighborhood there are streets full of stores, delicious restaurants, and within a few minutes' walk you can reach the most important monuments of Bologna.
Attractions
The apartment is located in the university district, on the eastern outskirts of Bologna's historic center. The area is named after one of the city's most important churches. The Irnerio district offers a rare glimpse of the "old" Bologna with lively markets and small craft and leather stores, including the Flea Market in Piazza Aldrovandi and Piazza 8 Agosto. You will also enjoy the city's widest selection of stores, bars, typical restaurants and pizzerias. Three of the best and typical restaurants and trattorias such as Il Belle Arti, Cantina Bentivoglio, and Donatello are located nearby. There is also a good selection of mid-priced options. At night, Via Mascarella becomes one of the liveliest areas of the city and, with its pedestrian streets and illuminated buildings, turns into the perfect place for an after-dinner glass of wine or an evening stroll. For those who choose an apartment in this area, the Irnerio district offers several grocery stores, supermarkets, laundries and souvenir stores, as well as being adequately served by the local public transportation service.

This particular apartment is located within the ZTL zone, so if you plan to come to Florence by car and want to get around and park, you will need to pay special attention to street signs, CCTV cameras, and access cameras (which will show a red/green light) to avoid receiving fines. Guests who need to travel by car within the ZTL zone to get to their apartment are encouraged to contact one of the downtown private garages (the one closest to the apartment you are staying in) and obtain a temporary access permit. Upon arrival at the garage, guests should specify that they need access to the ZTL, and the garage will take note of the vehicle's license plate number and forward it to the appropriate police station.
