Beautiful view

This property has a beautiful view no doubt. The owners were accommodating and communication with them was top notch. However, the property itself needs some TLC. Some windows won't open, the shower rod in the master bath is very rusty, the shower drips continuously, the sliding door is difficult to open, the living area furniture is worn, dated and stained, the lanai furniture is unraveling, we were warned neighbors can be difficult and one even messaged the owners that we drove too fast down the lane in a BMW - even though we didnt have a BMW, the 2nd bedroom does not have a closet. Overall we had a great time and just overlooked these things, but I definitely cannot give this place a 5 star rating compared to other 5 star places we have stayed at on the North Shore. It just needs some TLC.

This property is on a gorgeous property right on the beach. The view alone is exceptional! Jason stayed in the adjoining property while we were there and he was so nice! He took our 18 year old son out on a board and taught him some surfing which was so kind! We’d definitely stay here again! Our family enjoyed it so much!

Amazing place

This is our fifth stay at North Shore, and by far the best experience. The house is top notch and the views of the ocean is absolutely breathtaking. Could sit on that lanai for the rest of my life! Owners are extremely helpful and pleasant to communicate with. Look no further!

Amazing North Shore beachfront home

My family & I loved staying at Janine & Jason’s beautiful home - it was a great location and well equipped. Everyday was such a treat relaxing with an incredible view. Highly recommend & we hope to stay here again!

Perfect North Shore Family House, on the beach

From my first interaction with Jason and Janine, I was sure this we be a great rental and it didn’t disappoint. They are super easy to deal with and their home as exactly as listed. Awesome location and felt like home. Highly recommend 😊

Amazing place - highly recommended

We had such an awesome time! We extended our stay at the beach cottage and canceled our trip to Maui. This place is fully equipped. It has everything you need. If you look for a a house directly at the beach this is the place to be! We went surfing, swam with turtles and saw whales! Incredible!!! We will be back!

Perfection and smiles all around

Everything about this place was fantastic. The owners are very wonderful and pleasant to work with. From the main bedroom you have a private lanai and can hear and see the ocean (waves were pumping). Seems Jonah Hill was the previous person who stayed there which just shows the level of stoke this place has.

Incredible Location, Helpful Hosts

The hosts gave clear instructions and they were very helpful! This house was even better in person! You cannot beat this beach front property. It was great being able to sit on the porch, listen to the rhythm of the rolling waves and watch ocean and beach life unfold in front of us - surfers, whales and kind people strolling by occasionally. It was wonderfully relaxing and incredible! Hale’iwa town is less than 2 miles away so it was easy to get food and to shop. I highly recommend this property! Nothing was missing. We never even needed the A/C! Our only regret was that we didn’t stay longer. Next time we will skip Waikiki.

Could be cleaner, and was lacking a bit of maintenance.

Furniture, bedding, and lawn chairs need to be replaced. Generally the house is comfortable and well equipped, but except for the fridge and dishwasher everything is from the 90's and pretty tired. Its has three bedrooms, but the third is under the house and can only be entered after going through a dark and dirty corridor under the front porch. The photos don't quite match the actual, and there are no blinds or drapes on the windows. Daytime is fine, as the windows are tinted, but if you want night time privacy, or to sleep past daybreak, you'll need a mask. There are two houses on the property so you may have to share the yard with other guests, On the plus side, the location is great.

Perfect Beach Getaway

This place is PERFECT! Beautiful home with an outstanding master bedroom and private balcony. The yard has private access to the beach, so you're able to wake up and take your coffee down to the sand and enjoy the beautiful sunrise. Communicating with the hosts while on the trip was very easy and super helpful. They were extremely responsive, polite and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. If you're looking to have a quiet getaway, this is the spot. Tucked off the main highway on a private dead end road in a gated entrance with private beach access on the North Shore of Oahu.... does it get much better??? Not far from Foodland so you're able to stock up on groceries to make your stay even more enjoyable. We couldn't have been more pleased with the property, the hosts and our stay. I hope we get to come back, but definitely a vacation rental I'd recommend to anyone! Mahalo!

Heaven on Earth

This will be our 3rd stay at Property ID 1132598 and prior to this I have never visited anywhere on the planet twice! Too much to see and do on planet earth for repeats. This home has to be one of my favorite locations ever. The house is completely comfortable with everything you need to cook meals and boasts an expansive lanai overlooking a sandy beach featuring beautiful, protected natural lagoon. The lagoon is one of the top 2 snorkeling spots on the entire island in my opinion. So many beautiful species of fish and healthy coral. We even had a huge turtle basking in the sun on the sand one afternoon. My other favorite snorkeling spot, 3 Tables, is just down the road 5 minutes in Pupukea. August and September feature 2 awesome surf breaks just off shore from the lagoon. If you are looking for a visit to the best Oahu has to offer, look no further!

Had a very relaxing stay! The house was nicely stocked and comfortable. Beautiful ocean views, shaded porches and easy access to the beach through a grassy yard. Swimming and snorkeling in front of the house. Turtles come up on the beach in the evening. Wonderful place to stay!

Fabulous!!!

What a spectacular setting! We had a fabulous and relaxing time!! The covered porches are perfect for reading and watching the humpback whales and surfers put on a show! If you want to sunbathe, the beach is lovely or there are a couple lounge chairs by the grass. The house is well stocked, clean and comfortable!! We rarely left the property but you are only 45 minutes away from Waikiki and shopping! The snorkeling is great in front of the house when the waves aren't too big and a turtle would come visit us on the beach every night! We read, relaxed, swam and snorkeled. We had a perfect vacation!! We even used the downstairs over flow bedroom. It was cool, comfortable and perfect for sleeping. We plan on returning as often as we can. We have found our paradise!

The definition of "Tranquility"

This is my 5th visit to this home and it never disappoints. When I travel with friends to surf or with my family to relax, the location is perfect with its unobstructed view of the ocean and sound of the sea. Its great to get out of the crowd from Waikiki and immerse yourself within the local lifestyle. It's hard to picture going elsewhere, I end up booking it for next year when I depart. Dominic Bohnett

While the property itself is beautiful and perfectly situated on a quiet street, the house itself is poorly maintained. The third downstairs bedroom and bathroom that are advertised has mold growing in them and are not usable. It should not be advertised as a three bedroom rental as the third bed/bath is not useful. Although we arrived during a power outage, the house was not cleaned appropriately, nor did the owner offer to fix the problem. The indoor appliances are rusted and poorly maintained. I cleaned the tracts of the sliding doors during the stay so that we could open the sliding doors and use the cooling night breezes. Also, many of the screens in the windows and sliding doors have holes in them so much that we were afraid to leave them open during day or night for fear of bugs. Although I understand that this is a beach property, and that requires a lot of maintenance, I also know that we have stayed at many properties both in the United States and in other countries that were properly maintained. I only gave this property two stars because of the beautiful location on the beach and proximity to local towns.

Gorgeous spot!

What a wonderful experience we had at this property. It is on the most beautiful beach on the North Shore. No crowds and is located off the highway, so alot less noise. This house is set up high with great views from the covered lanai. Each lanai had very nice, comfortable furniture. The house is clean beach cottage with nice furniture. Open floor plan and fully stocked. New refrigerator and dishwasher! Spectacular views from living room and master bedroom. We didn't want to leave unless it was to snorkel or swim on the beach. Loved this spot and would highly recommend it!!! The 3rd bedroom is below the house as the owner explained and is just an overflow room but cool and comfortable with a basic bath across the hallway. There is air conditioning but we didn't need it at this time of year. The owner, Jason, was very easy to deal with.

Private Quiet Location Right on the Beach!

We loved the location of this property. It is off a private road so it is quiet and secluded. The property is right on the beach! We didn’t give the property 5 stars because the 3rd bedroom under the house is nicely furnished but still has a basement feel. We chose not to use it. Also, we could not get a cross breeze in the main area of the house because the window in the living room would not open. We did use the a/c from time to time-but the owners ask that we keep that to a minimum. Furnishings are nice, but many windows and screens need to be repaired. Owners were good to work with!
