Majestic Sun 1111B -

This fully equipped condo features an upgraded kitchen and outstanding views of the Gulf of Mexico. The condo is very spacious and modern and it has fun topical accents throughout. The master suite has a King size bed and it's own private balcony access. The guest bedroom has two sets of bunk beds one of which is a twin over full size bunk bed. The aforementioned kitchen has stainless steel appliances and beautiful cherry stained wood cabinets. The living area features a nice flat screen TV and has a large sofa that converts into a sofa sleeper for two.

Wake up to some of the most amazing views Destin has to offer! Majestic sun is located on the East end of Destin in the fabulous community of Miramar beach. You will be ever so close to just about everything you could ever want or need! There is an 18-hole golf course on site at the Seascape resort. This is a full facility complete with practice putting greens, full driving range, a fully stocked pro shop and a short order bar and grill! In the surrounding area you’ll find countless golf courses to choose from including Kelly Plantation, Emerald Bay, Regatta Bay, The Raven at Sandestin, The Links at Sandestin, Burnt Pine at Sandestin and Baytowne at Sandestin – all of which are within a ten minute drive of the Majestic sun resort! Enjoy 3 on site dining options including Rick’s Crab shack in the Surfside building, Cabana Café in the Ariel Dunes I building and the Whale’s Tail Tiki bar located just across the street – right on the beach! Need more dining options? There are roughly 30 more options within a 5 minute car ride from your building! Miramar Beach boast some of the nation’s best shopping at the Silver Sands Premium Outlet Mall – just 3 minutes from your condo! The Majestic Sun Resort has so much to offer! Get your workout in at the full gym located on the ground level just off the pool deck. Enjoy a dip in one of two pools – one indoor/outdoor the other outside basking in the Florida sun! The outdoor pool deck also boast two luxurious hot tubs - one for each Majestic Sun building!

*Majestic Sun is a smoke free environment with smoking and chewing tobacco prohibited in all common areas, including the garage, walkways, pools spa, and pool decks, as well as on the balconies.

*Based on the daily temperature and at the HOA's discretion, the onsite community pool for Majestic Sun is seasonally heated. The Seascape Tennis Village community pool is typically heated November - March 1st, while the Seascape Boardwalk community pool is typically heated October - April.

I would give this place 3.5-3.75 stars. We booked this stay for a last-minute trip to the beach.The positives: -Location-Nice tiled balcony with comfortable furniture. -Communication with/from property managementThe not so greats:-Pictures of some of the furniture were not the actual furniture we found (not as nice as the pics)-The place could use some updating (paint, etc. and basic maintenance (missing knob on closet, malfunctioning sink stopper, loose/worn toilet seats. These things would not take a whole lot of effort to repair.-This property did not include the binder that most have addressing TV operation, other household information.That would have been a nice touch. This property worked “okay” but it was not as nice as others we have stayed in when visiting the Majestic Sun.

Great location and views

Great view of the ocean and in a great pedestrian friendly area. Main room isn't huge, but it worked well for our family of 4. Lots of pots, pans and kitchen tools so it was easy to cook meals. We'd stay here again!

Great place with the best view :

We really enjoyed the stay here with the best view of the beach and just steps away from the pristine beach. We love the convince of parking and the value of the space for the price . Kitchen was fully stocked with whatever you need . Balcony was way bigger than we imagined with the best place to watch and relax with the best view of the beach. We would be back again .

Worth it, Could have been better

The location is perfect. If you have a family with small children or don’t want to walk a long way to and from the beach this is excellent. The balcony and ocean view are irreplaceable and was our favorite part of the property. The thermostat can’t be set below 72 and the A/C struggles to keep up with that so be prepared to be hot. We kept the blinds closed to manage. The had an extra box fan which we appreciated. The kitchen was functional with necessary materials. The washer and dryer was a nice touch. Beds were comfortable. It was the only property I found here that had multiple beds in the secondary bedroom and not in a hallway. So the bunk room was great. Communication from the host was lacking. It often took 8-12 hours or longer for a response. Well, they did resolve all of our issues in different experiences. I have had far more timely responses. Property was clean but needs updated. Bring extra detergent, dish soap, toilet paper, and trash bags - you get a very limited amount. Overall a great experience and we didn’t let the downsides deter our experience as the beach was wonderful.

Nice condo with comfortable beds and a nice kitchen; communication and customer service not good.

This condo was nice with a great view from the balcony. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels and linens for everyone. The kitchen has all of the utensils necessary to cook or make drinks. Unfortunately, a water issue occurred while we were there and Ocean Reef made no attempt to contact us to inform us what was going on and a time frame for it to be fixed. We were without water at random times the first three days we were there. I called and emailed Ocean Reef numerous times and either got no response or was told different things like a pipe busted or froze. I was told by one person that we would just have to go across the street if we needed to use the restroom while the water was out!! Well, across the street is the gulf, so that was ridiculous! The only way we found out what was going on was by emailing the homeowners association for the Majestic Sun and several of the owners responded and stated that they had all informed their renters what was going on and kept them apprised of the situation. I love the Majestic Sun and we will continue to stay there, but will only rent from individuals and not Ocean Reef. They need to work on their customer service.

Best Area - Pretty Good Unit

Overall loved this unit. Check in was seamless and luggage carts were readily available for all of our stuff. Views incredible on both sides (ocean view from balcony and lake side on entrance side). They texted us letting us know when the unit was ready if we wanted to do early check in. Plenty of towels which was awesome! Beds and pillows are comfortable and great!! The ocean views from the balcony at all times of day were amazing. Loved this! Very quick and easy walk to the beach which was important to us. Parking wasn’t crazy either - front spots and a parking garage made it always easy. Some complaints - the unit was not that clean. There’s mold in the master bath. Someone else’s hair in various spots. There appeared to be what looked like blood splatter on the balcony. The kitchen has no scissors (it’s amazing how much you need scissors!) One of the couch pillows had a huge tear and there is decor on the wall in rough shape. All minor things though that could be fixed up or repaired but left us slightly less impressed. General upkeep of the place could be a little better. Even with the minor complaints we would absolutely book here again!! Loved this spot and location and unit despite the minor things. We saw tons of dolphins during our stay and loved watching the ocean from the balcony. Highly recommend!! Thanks for the amazing trip!!

Deceiving and moldy unit

As soon as we walked in, I had a lump in my throat and sick to my stomach. The furniture and cleanliness we seen in pictures on site were not all like they seemed in pic. Couches, lamps, tv console, coffee table, end tables and decor were different. The furniture was worn out (fining room table chairs upholstry were filthy, table is scratched all up, bar stools were not even cleaned off, couches were different, bedroom furniture scratched up, entryway console was broken and just falling to floor for guest to just see) Grouted tile floors looked as if they hadnt been mopped or swept. Rug and dining room floor had corn chips all over them. Entryway by front door picture and decor was broken. Rug looked worn and old in hallway as soon as you walked in. Carpets were filthy. Rugs in both bathrooms I asked they just take out bc they were absolutely and disgustingly worn out. Beds were poorly made and not presentable- like a child made them. Closet door was off track and broken down. Laundry room door was broken off track. They came and took off the shelf on the console table that was broke and fixed it a few days later. They somehow put the closets closest track, but they fell off several times during the week as we opened and shut them. MOLD above guest closet ceiling that looks like they just painted over. Mold in every single vent, really pronounced in bathrooms. Disgusting and a health hazard. We noticed the mold more and more as the week went on. Toilets and tubs gross!!! . Pubic hair on back on toilet. Sloppy wet toilet paper around toilet and plunger in guest. Shower curtain half way hanging on, like they didnt even care if it looked presentable. Pantry door was crusted and smeared with food. Wall where trashcan sit had crusted and smeared food all on it. They had to get house cleaning to come reclean by a different cleaning company than previous (if it was even cleaned before?) Washing machine was broken- took almost 2 full days for a loaner. And both washer and dryer were replaced the day we were packing up. the curtain just fell in master bedroom without warning! They replaced the next day with a new one. Mold was still there all week and worried us the entire time. I bought cleaning supplies and disinfecting spray and deep cleaned bathrooms and kitchen and sprayed lysol everywhere bc I felt it was plain filthy. There was very poor communication from maintenance, as we had no clue when things would get fixed unless I called to find out.

We enjoyed our stay. Loved the property, especially the balcony. Beautiful view of the the gulf. We had stayed at the majestic sun last year, used VRBO.com, I thought they communicated much better than Ocean Reef. We knew every code we needed to, there wasn’t any guessing of what we needed to do prior to check out, we received a note from the owners of the condo. It was a much better experience last year. This year, we had to call for parking passes, they were not in the condo, the TV gave us a headache, should have been written instructions. Last year, they made us more prepared for our stay. We did have a wonderful time. Thank you.

We love staying at majestic sun! It is really nice and clean!

We loved our stay at Majestic Sun, but for the money I don’t think this condo room was as nice as others we have stayed in. A little paint could go a long way. For a group of 5 like us or room for 9, they do not have enough toilet paper or dishwasher soap if you are in the room much at all. The larger balcony was very nice and the view was beautiful. The one thing about this condo is they had plenty of towels for a large group and that was extremely nice.
